The elevator doors slid open with its normal ping, revealing Halloway, Marsh, and Daisy as they stepped out on to the ground floor of the police station.

The air in the station is as thick with tension more than she can remember each time she has been there, and each time, all the weight on her shoulders seem to triple compared to the last time and even now, it sems like it has gone up a hundred fold, the weight of unspoken words pressing down on Daisy's shoulders so much that her back visible hunches.

Her footsteps echoed slightly on the cold, tiled floors as she followed Marsh to the interrogation room where John had been detained, the same one she had seen him in all those days ago.

Almost two days now. The thought sent a shiver down her spine, how had it come to this? To think he had come to rescue her at the time but now, he is the one who had been held back.
