35. Beg Her

Haley's eyelids fluttered, and gradually, the darkness turned into a blurry white.

Squinting her eyes, she moved her limbs, struggling to sit up.

Why did her body feel sore?

What was she doing in this kind of place?

Apart from the tiny cracks on the walls letting in streams of light, everywhere was dark.

Her head throbbed slightly with pain, and Haley supported it with both hands, letting her mind wander to last night.

Damn!

She'd been kidnapped.

Where was she?

Alarmed, Haley scurried off the floor, her eyes darting in fear across the wide room.

Packed boxes sat in a corner and a lot of dusty household stuff.

Haley ransacked one of the boxes, coughing rapidly as dust flew in the air.

Kneeling beside the boxes, she fished out a small device that looked more like a toy handset.

Haley fished out other materials including some shoes and dresses.

The room was all walls and no doors. There wasn't a single window either.

How was she gonna get out?

Who brought her here?
