Victor's eyes went cold when he heard that, and a barely noticeable smirk tugged at his lips. He grinned, "You're trying to downplay this now, Jane. but did you think it through before you acted? Let me give you an inside scoop - Eulalia didn't seduce me, I tried to seduce her. And I didn't even succeed."

The phone went dead silent.

Behind him, Bob's jaw dropped, his mouth wide enough to swallow a whole egg.

He quickly snapped out of it and sidled up to Victor, making faces and mouthing silently, "What the hell are you saying?!"

Victor showed no signs of regret. "I'll give you a real scoop. You dare to leak it?"

Jane was stunned for a good while, trying to speak but unable to get the words out. She realized now that Barry hadn't just bumped into an egg, but a freaking diamond.

She never in a million years would have guessed that in the relationship between Eulalia and Victor, Victor was actually the one trying to win her over.
