*Isabella’s POV*

That seems to be all the confirmation Archibald needs. He leans in, closing the tiny bit of remaining distance between us, lips pressing into mine, gentle fingers cupping my jaw.

His mouth is soft, and kissing him is easy, just like all the rest of this has been. It’s not logical, but it feels like the right thing to do.

He hums against my mouth, like he can hear my thoughts and he’s agreeing to them.
