71. Why it's always measured by blood bounds.

Chloe entered the Palace with a thudding heart. She arrived alone here, giving some excuses at home and thankfully, no one doubted her.

The way Anthony sounded on the phone was not pleasant at all. His tone hinted a trouble and she was here to face it alone. First, she would learn what happened and then tell her husband.

Did he get to know the truth already? Maybe, he did. But how? Alexander ordered everyone to seal every mouth in the castle, didn't he? Then how?

Did anyone choose to betray him? Or, it was an outsider? Then again, how would an outsider know the inside news?

Thinking this and that, Chloe finally stepped inside the main entrance of the palace and was gritted by assistant Carson.

As usual, there was no expression on Carson's face. He slightly bowed at her and led the way. He brought her to the third floor, in Anthony's office.

Unlike their other meetings, this one seems more formal and strange.
