Accidental Pregnancy

A nurse walked in to administer drugs and stared repeatedly at her stomach while trying to focus on her mother at the same time. She has already vomited four times that day and some nurses in the hospital are already funnily looking at her. She tried hard to ignore the nausea that built up within her, but it just grew stronger and she had to hurry to the restroom to let it all out. When she came out, The nurse was waiting for her outside, hands at her side and glaring at her.

“What?” she asked, trying to shield herself from her penetrating gaze.

"You're pregnant," she pronounces and steps close to her, pulling her eyelid open and rubbing her hands on my stomach. "Yep, you're pregnant”. She didn't realize gossip was already flying.

"What? It's impossible," she protested. "I can't be pregnant," she added.

She pushed her out of the way and walked to her mother's room, ignoring the nurse's inquisitive look.

The only person I have sex with is the strange man at the hotel, an absolute stranger that she knows nothing about. Although she tries to deny it and disprove the nurse's words, she fears she might probably be right. She noticed the symptoms but is unwilling to admit it. But she needs confirmation to know for sure.

She marched out of the room and walked straight to the gynecologist. the doctor opted for a test, and after some time the doctor looked at her and smiled.

“ You are pregnant,” he said.

The doctor's words hit Kendall like a thunderstorm. She was a virgin - only 18 years old and in a relationship with Tom. As Kendall panicked, the doctor handed her the medical report.

She was indeed pregnant and had never slept with Tom before.

She thought for a second about aborting the child, but the doctor explained to her that she was well along in her pregnancy already and an abortion would be too risky for her. Tom had noticed her pregnancy because he was her boyfriend but she had denied it

Holding her pregnancy report, Kendall felt her world crumbling. She thought her life was over, it was just the beginning….

Kendall walked back to her mother's ward, entering the room in a daze, she stared at her mom.

How would she explain to her sick mother that instead of helping solve the problem, she just added more problems to their lingering problem?

She dashed out of the house to take a walk.

She could scarcely believe her ill fate.

It seems the universe is out to make her life more miserable than it already was. Everyone believes she is still a virgin, and then she turns up pregnant. Tom will deny the pregnancy and break up with her.

"What would then become of me?" she thought.

After walking aimlessly for an hour, she decided to go back home and sleep it off. It might be a nightmare that will disappear

When she wakes up from sleep she notices that something is wrong.

Tom and Tina were sitting on the couch, patiently waiting for her.

Mr. Smith only visits their house occasionally to warn them to stay away from his family and never to reveal themselves, just walked in with his wife who has never visited

Mr. Smith stared at her, he was so furious and in a deep voice and scary look.

“Tell me, who did this to you?” He asked angrily while walking closer to where she was.

“Don't lie! I need to know who is the father of the child” he demanded.

Confused, not knowing how they found out, she looked down and did not want to look at anyone.

“I don't know, Dad! He doesn't have a father.

“A pregnant useless daughter and a sick useless mother,” Tina said mocking her

“I won't take responsibility for her screw-up. I'm not responsible for her pregnancy, I haven't even slept with her for once, and not interested in being a hero. So I’m calling off this relationship. Tom said in a deep tone.

Tina was happy to hear what Tom said and she quickly gave her an option, you would have to marry the man responsible for your pregnancy

That's the only way out, you can't just disgrace the Smith family.

Kendall was so angry, she looked at Tina

“I was drunk and you planned it out,” she shouted

“It was her! She set me up!” She rushed forward hysterically and wrapped her hands around Tina’s neck

Tom pulled her out and Tina's mom shouted at Kendall.

“How dare you accuse my daughter of anything. You're just as vile as your mother”. She said

Kendall was unable to bear the pain any longer, she was on the verge of tears.

She was so angry that she couldn't utter a single word. Her whole body was trembling with fury.

Her world had fallen apart. Her step-sister was in love with her fiancé

At the party the previous month, Tina had secretly spiked Kendall’s drink, but now Tina has been pretending that she was innocent.

Tina continued, I happened to come across the man who is responsible for her pregnancy, they all turned and stared at her. He thought I was the one he slept with and had been showing interest in me.

“Who is the man?” the father asked.

“He is the illegitimate Son of the Johnsons, who is known to always freeload on the family and is always creating problems, and always in prison for his irresponsible acts,” she said, laughing.

“He wanted me to marry him but he’s a good-for-nothing loser”. “Moreover, he's responsible for her pregnancy, so I can't marry him”.

“He is not my type”.

Kendall thought of her mother and her childhood, but no matter how hard she wished this pregnancy to be a dream the more real everything became, she was headed for destruction.

The father asked Tina for Jack Johnson’s contact and immediately stepped out to call him

When he came in, he said “It is settled, he will do the needful as soon as possible.

“I won't marry him, he is a total strange,” she said

“But you slept with him?” he asked

“When You were opening your legs, he wasn't a stranger. Tom added.

“If you want your mother's treatment to be paid, then you have to marry him,” Mr Smith said.

“ You can't bring shame to me and the Smith family”, he added.

. “Fine! I will marry Jack Johnson,” she said.
