Once he arrived home, Ashton headed straight for the drawing room with one thing in mind, to settle the unfinished business once and for all. He reached the room at the most inconvenient time. All of the residents of the house, including both of Selene's parents, spare Magnus, were gathering together in the room, sitting and talking to each other leisurely in a friendly and relaxed manner.

They departed from the inn earlier the next morning. As they stepped out of the entranceway, a hackney was already waiting outside. The trip began just like the day before.
