Chapter 484

Evelyn was reminded of Warren by every place she walked past.

They had once kissed on those swings. They had once lay in the sun on that grassy spot. They had taken Bailey on walks in this garden.

Every place seemed to carry a trace of Warren.

Sitting on the swings, Evelyn gently rubbed Bailey's head. "Bailey, I miss your father," she whispered.

Bailey whined at her.

"If only he wasn't Iris' son," she said.

But that was impossible.

It was nothing but a deception that she wished was true. She laughed at herself self-deprecatingly.

At that moment, she spotted Ethan's car driving over. Like a loose kite, Jazzie ran toward her at full speed. "Evie, I'm here to see my godson!"

Stopping in front of Evelyn, Jazzie gave her a colorful stick of cotton candy. Smiling, she continued, "While your husband isn't at home, you should have some, but not too much. It wouldn't be good for my godson's development."
