There was happiness and appreciation, but more than anything, Evelyn was heartbroken.

Hearing those words, Sally got so emotional that her lips trembled. "Evie, does that mean you'll accept us as your family?"

Evelyn grinned and replied, "My dad said that there is nothing bad about having more people to care about me. He will always be my beloved father, though."

"That's right. Your father will always be Simon Jefferson. We won't take you away from him. There will simply be more people around to love and take care of you."
