Warren raised Evelyn's hand, showing off the ring. "I proposed to Evie. We had planned to get our marriage certificate today," he said with a smile.

Simon's eyes filled with tears as he looked at the dazzling diamond on Evelyn's finger. He felt joy for Evelyn's happiness as well as a pang of sadness at the thought of his daughter getting married.

Seeing Simon's mixed emotions, Warren said, "Dad, don't worry. Evie will always be your daughter. Even after we get married, she'll often return home, and I'll accompany her to spend time with you."

With tears in his eyes, Simon nodded and smiled. "As long as you two are happy, I'm at peace."

"Don't worry, I'll take good care of Evie," Warren assured him.

Hearing Warren's promise, Evelyn felt a wave of relief and squeezed his hand tightly.
