Evelyn watched as Warren lay still, covered in blood. The droplets rolling down her cheeks could have been her tears or the water.

Just then, the bodyguard who had been assigned to secretly protect Evelyn approached.

He took Warren to the hospital.

30 minutes later, Warren was taken to the emergency room to be treated.

Evelyn stood in the hospital's corridor despite being drenched.

Charlie immediately comforted her. "Ms. Jefferson," said Charlie, "You should get your burns looked at as well. If not, the consequences will be dire."

Evelyn shook her head and insisted, "I'm not leaving. I want to wait here."

"Ms. Jefferson, Mr. Larkin dealt with your injury first, despite being in such a dire situation himself. He did that because he didn't want to exacerbate your injury.

"If you miss the opportunity to quickly treat it, you would have wasted all of his efforts."

No wonder Charlie was regarded as an amazing assistant. He was great at deciphering his boss' intent.
