Thank you all for reading!
“Your big relaxing day!” Waylon kept a straight face but winked at me. I had asked for a day outside, doing basically nothing. Maybe a picnic or something small but nothing major. What could Jessica possibly have up her sleeves? My mind went wondering as I got ready. It was going to be a long time before I saw the inside of a private bathroom or at least one as equipped as this. Using more lotion than needed, more dry shampoo and even styled my hair. However, I kept my makeup light. No reason to get overly done with that. Grabbing a pair if flowy shorts, I paired it with a crop top and sandals. “Ready.” I mind-linked Waylon. He had slipped up to his room to get dressed but he was taking longer than needed. “Okay. I’ll be right there.” He sounded almost out of breath as he spoke. I was able to use this time to clean up this room a little. There was an empty box that I had set aside. Folding my clothes neatly, they all fit inside the box. My pencils and sketch pads were placed in
“Arlo?” I was confused as why he was here. “I must say, it is quite easy to sneak in here.” Laughing, he sat down like he was invited the whole time. Looking over at Waylon, he was just shaking his head. “It is when I have told you how to do it. Why are you even here?” Waylon sighed. I got the feeling that if Arlo is here, that isn’t a good thing. “I was just strolling along the stores the other day. You know, minding my own business. When I happen to come across a certain maid from the palace. Beautiful girl. She told me that the palace is in an uproar over her escape. They have implemented new safety measures and visitors are very limited. All trials are off limit to the public. That is, until someone is brought to justice.” “What safety measures?” Axel asked. “No. We are not doing this here. Arlo, follow Axel and Ky to my office. I will be there shortly.” Waylon stood up. He was pissed off. Not at me but part of me wanted him to be. It was incredibly sexy, so much that I knew
“How reliable is this information anyway?” Ky spoke up. “I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t believe it was real. Listen, believe me or not but the security has gotten tighter.” Arlo stood up. He was clearly annoyed that we weren’t taking him seriously. “Dude, calm down. If I was coming up to you and telling you a booty call told me information like that, would you believe me?” Axel asked as he leaned back in his chair. “Yes I would because I would know that you wouldn’t be coming to be with bullshit. After all I have done and you are going to question this?” Arlo narrowed his eyes. “You’re right. My apologies.” I tried to sooth things over. Motioning to the chair, Arlo sat back down. “What did she tell you?” “Metal detectors, wands, security cameras and even guns. They pulled out all the stops. There is only one entrance and exit. That’s it. Everyone must come through the front doors. Even the staff. She was bitching that she used to show up in her sweats and change there but now
“What happened?” I asked as we watched Waylon march off into the trees. Nova was standing there, trying to stop crying. Ky took off after Waylon and Jessica and I helped Nova sit down. Brayden looked like a lost puppy, trying to decide where to go before finally running off after Ky. “How I figured it would go.” Nova took a few deep breaths before finally she was ready to speak. “We were sitting down on a large rock. I kept stumbling over my words before I finally just blurted out, ‘I’m pregnant!’ His jaw fell to the floor before yelling what really loud. He got up and started pacing before mumbling something. I only caught some words. Blood, time and finding out were the only words I could figure out. Then he looked at me, almost like he was scared and then took off running.” Jessica and I looked at each other. Not fully sure what to say. Finally, Jessica spoke up. “There was this dad… well, he just found out he was going to be a dad. He freaked out. The responsibilities and hi
“The fuck was that?” I asked in the mind-link. Our bodies froze, waiting to see what it was. “If it was a rogue, we would know by now.” Waylon responded. Waylon slowly made his way off the gazebo. Crouching down, he slipped into the darkness. I felt exposed, almost like I was the target from a 360 degree angle. Scooting back until my back hit the wall, I waited for something to jump out at me. Waylon’s feelings were getting more angry by the moment. There was some grunting and wrestling of the leaves but then silence. No birds, no owls or even crickets were filling the air. It was dead, a horrible feeling that something was wrong came over me. Waylon was okay, pissed off but okay. The minutes ticked by. Then ten minutes and twenty. “Charlotte?” Axel’s voice caused me to jump as he emerged from the brush with Nova and Jessica in tow. “Here!” I said, realising a breath of relief. “Let’s go.” Axel kept a firm grip on Nova and turned back towards the trail. Jessica motioned for
“If there is one, there are more.” Jessica said in a sullen tone. “We can’t let them get anyone in the packhouse!” I need to get out there was strong. “Look, it looks like he is searching for something.” Jessica got closer to the screen. I saw what she meant. He wasn’t going rampant but smelling the walls and floor. “Searching?” “For what?” Jessica barely said. “I think the question is… for who.” Jessica looked between me and Nova. “How would we even know?” “We don’t but they are not welcome and need to be eliminated.” I said firmly. “I can’t let you go by yourself but I can’t exactly leave her either.” Jessica was torn between what she should do. “Waylon. Are you about done? We have a situation?” I mind-linked him. Holding up a finger to Jessica, she instantly understood. “Wrapping up, why?” “We are looking at a wolf in front of your office door on the security cameras.” I was met with silence. “You figured out how to get into the cameras?” “No, Jessica did but is th
I didn’t look back, I couldn’t look back. Waylon’s eyes were on me as I kept putting one foot in front of the other. If my eyes landed on Waylon, there wouldn’t be any way that I would be able to have the strength. My will power would be shattered. Instead, I just kept walking. My heart breaking with each step that he couldn’t say those words. Maybe he didn’t feel that way just yet. It was a big step and maybe he was saving it for when we actually mated? That was a possibility I guess. There was so much on Waylon’s plate that he might not have even considered it. He didn’t even tell me what happened last night. I know we got attacked and by the sounds of it, they were able to keep it extremely quiet. I doubt the pack even knew about it. The fake safety drill wasn’t so fake after all. The sun was hot in the sky as I walked. There wasn’t any trees around, just wide open fields. This road looked to appear that no one uses it anymore. Maybe that is why I am on it. No one will stop me the
“Do you really think she is sleeping?” Craig asked quietly. “Looks like it.” “How do you think she escaped in the first place?” Craig asked. “That’s not really the question you should be asking.” “What do you mean, Vincent?” “The true princess has the most powerful aura. She could easily compel us to do whatever she wanted. If she is turning herself in, there is a reason. You can’t tell me after twenty years of being on the run, she just now wants to clear her name? No, something else is going on here.” He wasn’t wrong, but yet he was. If I would have been able to mate with Waylon and my identity stayed a secret, none of this would be happening. Thanks to Jasmine, I am here. Taking back what is rightfully mine. “What’s a lot to unpack.” Craig whistled. “I’m just saying. Feeding her and treating her like a person is going to go a long way. Let’s say she wins, do you want her to remember you as the cop that pissed her off or the cop that fed her?” “Defiantly the one that fe
Thank you to everyone for reading Diamond Eyed Luna! This was an idea I had dreamed about and was really excited to write this. As always, I do try to read each comment left and respond. I am beyond blessed to be able to share my stories with you. Due to my surgery and life with a toddler, I am taking June off to focus on my family and my healing. However, I am currently writting my next book. Keep a watch out at the end of June as I will be back posting like normal in July. I am still deciding on a name for the book but right now I am thinking it will be called Tattoo Luna. As far as the series with Royal Gems, I am putting that on the back burner for now. If you have read them, you know each book stands on it's own. I have a few books that I want to get out before I revisit this series. Many have asked for a sequal to Opal Eyed Luna and that is on my list to do as well. Thank you all for your support! Mrs. Smith
“PUSH!” Waylon was standing beside me as was attempting to break his hand. The labor has been going on for hours now and my body was on the edge of giving up. “I can’t!” I groaned. My entire body was exposed as the male doctor had his face inches off my vagina. This whole thing was uncomfortable. Two nurses were holding my legs up. “On more big push!” My eyes were closed since I had no motivation to watch four different people stare at my vagina. It was actually quite distracting. “You got this, momma.” Waylon whispered in my ear. “Where is Jessica?” I half cried from the burn. “In with Nova and Axel.” Waylon answered for me. “She-she isn’t doing well.” There was a tone to Waylon that caught my attention. Peaking my eyes open, I looked into the concern filled eyes. “Queen Hailey, I’m sorry but if you don’t push this baby out, we will have to do a c-section.” The doctor showed little sympathy for my current position. “Come on, you can do this!” Waylon plastered on a determine
Hailey POV I was about to lose hope when something reached out and grabbed my foot. The girliest scream escaped my mouth, letting all the air out from my legs. My body was being pulled further under the water. At one point, I tried to kick but something sharp pierced my ankle. It was only when I started to rise again, that some hope filled my burning lungs. Whatever was holding me, pushed me upward. I listened as the need for air was becoming more and more intense. Once when black spots started clouding my vision did my head break the surface. Air plunged into my lunges as I inhaled deeply. It burned going down. My arm caught a rock’s edge that I clung to. Breathing deeply, I watched as a figure lifted himself out of the water and to the edge. “Ky.” “I told you to swim down!” He chastised me. “No, you did not.” Glaring, I pulled myself up so I was sitting on the ledge too. “Where are we?” “Underground tunnel. It leads to my bedroom. Let’s go.” Ky stood up and without waiting f
My wolf didn’t even hesitate. Positioning herself behind Thomas, she allowed the guards to have full view. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Ky pick up the chest with his mouth and slowly start making his way to us.“I said, DON’T MOVE!” A warner shot fired, hitting the tree by my head. There were so many things I could have said in this situation but she didn’t like any of them. Instead, she took her claw and sliced across Thomas’s neck so deep that I swear she hit his spine. Blood sprayed but we didn’t stick around to find out. Before his body even dropped, we were running full speed. The sounds of bones breaking and gun fire went off behind us. Ky was running beside us but since the woods were so thick, he wasn’t at full speed. More than once, bullets connected in a tree, right where our head used to be. I was struggling to remember the path that Ky told me but my wolf didn’t seem too concerned. Ky was staying beside us but if we were to get separated… Thunder started echoin
“Yes.” “You and I both know what kind of sadistic person James was. It was either kill or be killed. Women get beaten, raped and tortured in his pack if they don’t do as James asked. I’m assuming she had her fair share of hard lessons before she just did what he asked. Did she ever come out and tell me about it, no. Do I think she ever did it willingly, no. Do I think she did them, yes. I have no doubt she carries that with her everyday.” “Does Axel know?” Ky asked.“I’m not sure. When she found out who I really was, she turned her back to me. It was only after she learned the truth that she realized she was wrong. By that time, damage was done. We haven’t had much chance to catch up. Jessica and the boys really did a number on our lives.” “Do you regret it?” Ky asked.“Regret what?” Or like, which part.“Finding Waylon?” “I was living on borrowed time anyway. Thomas had pictures of us in his closet, he knew where I was this whole time. Not sure if he knew who Nova was though.” “
“Waylon?” “James is here.” His voice was furious as he stepped away from me. “WHAT?” Standing up, all sexual tension was gone. “Yeah.” Waylon grabbed my arm and we both jumped in the shower. Moving in unison, I shampooed my hair while he washed his body and then we flipped. It worked so well that we were done in three minutes. “Why?” I asked as I towel dried my hair as we made our way to our clothes. “He won’t tell the guards.” Waylon sounded pissed. Grabbing a cotton dress, Waylon slipped on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. I was braiding my hair as we walked out the room. “If we start fighting, you need to get to safety. I can’t focus if I am worried about you. If I am fighting James, I need all my focus.” “I’m not arguing about this with you. I will not run from a fight but I will stay out of the middle.” That was my only compromise. Axel was waiting at the front door when we got there. “Nova?” I asked as we walked outside. “Save.” Axel only said one word but his eyes spo
“Shit!” Axel’s knees buckled as he let go of my arms, Taking advantage of his position. My arms wrapped around his neck from behind. Keeping my body away from his was the only way this was going to work. His hands were on the ground. Moving my body as far away as possible, I tried to put as much distance between us. Unfortunately, Axel grabbed under my arms and lifted me up. He flipped me over, forcing me to let go or rip my arms from their sockets. Landing on my feet, Axel had went to a knee. Since his back was towards me, I sprung into action. Jumping up, I landed on his back and wrapped my legs around his neck. Trying to put him into another submission role. Axel was able to get a hand under my leg before I started squeezing so he pried my legs open. Axel grabbed my hip and pulled me around to face him. “Fucking worm.” He muttered as he tried to put both of my wrist in one of his hands. As much as I tried to fight against him, he moved his legs and placed it over my hips. Not so
I took a back seat in my mind as my wolf came forward. She jolted forward when the gun went off. Using only my arms, she scaled the wall with easy. One hand on top of the other, she reached the top and kept the momentum and tossed my legs over it. Landing on one knee, she kept going. The crowd was cheering in the background but she was ignoring them. Instead, she focused on each step we took and how the ground felt under my feet. She really wanted to transform but settled for this. The dummies were standing in front of her. The first one she was able to pull my arms in and slip around. Rotating my body 90 degrees, she was able to slip around the next one. Dropping to a squatting position, she slipped under another. Pivoting, she took a wide step as she avoided a rather aggressive looking dummy. As she shifted again, my hair caught one of the barbwires but she didn’t stop. Instead, she allowed my hair to be ripped out. Fuck, that hurt but it didn’t faze her. She instantly dropped
“So, she needs to earn your respect, huh?” Waylon’s voice came from around the corner. All three of them had the decency to bow their heads as they allowed Waylon to enter the kitchen. His arms were folded over his chest and his voice was deadly calm. It even sent shivers down my spine but I found it pleasurable. “A-alpha.” One of the guys stuttered. “Answer her question. Damian, Scott and Mark right? You three are new to the warrior team. Interesting you are questioning my decision about the right person to be Luna.” None of them answered Waylon. Instead, they kept their faces downward. “Sounds like they need a reminder what it means to be a warrior.” I said as I popped a blackberry in my mouth. All three of them stiffened. I wasn’t sure exactly what Waylon did to make people achieve in order to become a warrior but it’s never an easy thing. “Interesting. Have them redo warrior training?” Waylon repeated. “Can she even do it?” One of the guys had the balls to ask. The other tw
