Thank you for reading!
Waylon POV “SIR!” The warriors busted into my office. “Six entries were found. No evidence of any intruders.” “SIX?” I couldn’t believe my ears! How the fuck was she able to pull this off without me knowing! Pure rage ran through me. Everything turned red as my fist made contact with some plaster. It was nearing midnight by the time we were able to finish off the search. I was exhausted. Simon was coming tomorrow, I hadn’t checked in with Charlotte and the threat of my pack being attack was at a level that it hadn’t been since I took over. Who the fuck thinks they can get away with this? “Alpha?” The warrior didn’t sound or look scared but he did looked alarmed. “Take a group of six men. Six per tunnel. I want you to travel along the tunnel and figure out there they lead to. I want to know everything about them but at the end, I want them destroyed. Get with the bomb squad and have them flattened. Do you understand?” “Yes, Alpha!” They left my office, slamming the door behi
“Just fucking fine!” It sounded like she was partly pissed off, partly in pain. “What are you doing?” “Don’t worry about it.” That annoyance was clearly directed at me. “I really need to finish this report, I’ll be down shortly.” Sighing, it felt like I was never going to get to go to bed. “Don’t worry about it.” Charlotte cut the mind-link. That girl is a feisty one. Shoving Charlotte out of my mind, I focused on the events of today. There was a report for Jasmine’s questioning in here. Then her need to be fully interrogated and what all took place there. Next is a report about the tunnels and their locations. I had to ask the warriors the locations before I finished it but after two hours, I got it done. Keeping them on my desk, I stood up and sighed as I make sure my office door was locked before heading down to Charlotte to see what her deal was. “Stupid fucking piece of shit!” Something shattered against the wall when I walked through the door. “Hello to you too.” Loo
"I appreciate you agreeing to meet with me in a timely manor.” Simon stated it like we had a choice. He came forward and extended his hand for a handshake but I just sat down in my chair. Taking the cue, Simon pulled his hand back and took a seat as well. “We can pretend it wasn’t mandatory.” I muttered. My good mood was already started to change. “May I ask why all the security? That is above and beyond a normal security detail.” “I’m glad you asked. This might actually be your lucky day.” I said leaning forward. Axel stood in the back of the room, with his arms folded over his chest. If looks could kill… “How so?” Simon was an annoying little man that wanted his ego to make his appearance seem taller. When in fact, his short 5’6” frame wasn’t going to do anything. His mustache might scare away some kids and that toupe wasn’t fooling anyone. The Harry Potter style glasses were perched on his nose to the point I wondered if they were going to fall off. “You might get to witness
“As great of a story as this all sounds, I think it is time we question Jasmine.” Simon straightened his back like he had any authority in my pack. He stood up, put all his paperwork in his briefcase. “As you wish.” Standing up, Axel opened the door for Simon. He even held out his arm as if he was a butler. Simon read his sarcastic motion as him being respectful and nodded as he passed. It was all I could do to not roll my eyes at Axel as he smirked at me. Shutting my office and locking it, we made our way down to the cells. “Please stay close. I wouldn’t want you to get hurt.” “I am more than capable of taking care of myself, thank you.” Simon lifted his nose a little higher in the air. The best part, there was two of my biggest guys walking towards us. Their arms and shoulders were so large, their arms stuck out from their body. Watching Simon take a few extra steps to the left and take a wide berth around them was both annoying and comical. “I’m sorry but at this point, I mu
“I’m so sorry. I’ll explain later.” My heart was shattering as I walked towards Jasmine but we needed answers. This could really help us get ahead and finally be able to figure out what is going on. I knew Charlotte would be pissed off at me but saving her life was more important to me in this very moment. “What do you mean?” Charlotte responded right before my lips touched Jasmine. Jasmine immediately moaned into my mouth, the way she used to. The way it used to make my knees weak, now made my stomach turn. I had to sell it. Deeping the kiss, Charlotte was the only thing on my mind. Jasmine tasted wrong, it was messy and just wasn’t quite right. “YOU MOTHER FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT! THIS BUUURRRNNSS!!” Charlotte was screaming in my head as I felt her pain. It was weird, my lips were burning horribly as I kept kissing Jasmine. Thankfully, Axel stepped in. “That’s enough!” Grabbing my shoulder, he pulled me back. “Just like old times.” Jasmine smiled. “I’m so sorry, please. I w
“This is completely uncalled for!” Simon continued to protest until we took the bag off his head. Sitting down in my office chair, Axel stood by the door. Simon slammed his stuff down as he straightened his clothes. “After what you heard in there and you think I give a damn about your clothes getting twisted?” My patience was wearing very thin as the need to get to Charlotte was high. “Surely you don’t have any questions. Clearly Jasmine was making up stories and there isn’t any proof of that girl being the missing daughter of the late king and queen.” Axel pushed his words into the conversation. “However, there isn’t any proof that she isn’t the missing daughter. A blood test will be done and then we will be moving forward with the trial. You will get my report early next week.” Simon gathered up his belongings and turned to leave. “I’ll look forward to it.” The sarcasm was thick and he knew it. “I’ll see you out.” Axel said firmly as he opened the door and then closed it. I watched her eyes look down at my lips. Her indecisiveness filled me as I, too, looked at her lips. It was like my body moved on it’s own. Smashing my lips against hers. As soon as they touched, sparks erupted down my spine and to my toes. Charlotte let out a soft moan in my mouth as her body shook. Wrapping my arm around her waist, I pulled her body against mine. Fuck, how I’ve missed this. “No!” Charlotte snapped out of whatever trans she was in and pushed me away. “You don’t get to use your sex appeal to get me to forgive you!” The fire was back in her eyes. Dropping my hands, I took a few steps back. It took more self control than I had thought possible. “Okay.” Turning around, I went to walk out but this time, she didn’t stop me. Walking up to my office, was incredibly hard to do. At least Charlotte didn’t have the link snapped shut. It wasn’t open but it wasn’t locked like she had it before. Right as I sat down, there was a knock on the door. “Come in.” Axel and Nova w
As we got closer, the adrenaline in the SUVs was rising. It ran through my veins like cocaine. My warriors were an extension of me so their energies hyped mine. Jasmine was silent the whole ride but as we neared the meeting place, her leg started to bounce. It was a sign of her nerves. One warrior was tapping his finger against the door and another kept shifting in his seat. Everyone hated Alpha James. He was the classic backstabber. Nice to your face but he would sweep your legs out from under you if it meant he would gain more power or money. He never did anything for anyone, unless it benefited him. To the point that I seriously questioned if he even had any allies. He probably thought he didn’t need them. As I am the only pack bigger than him, he must think he is untouchable. The vehicles stopped along the edge of a barbwire fence. It was pretty hilly so we couldn’t see the exact spot we were going to be trading her but the sun still hung in the sky so I knew we would be okay t
