Calista stared inside the car with admiration. She had never been in a car this fancy before. She woke up from her admiration as she turned her head to Claire, who was staring at her without blinking.
“Miss Calista, you are so beautiful,” Claire said.Calista smiled with her cheeks blushing. “Thank you and please just call me by name,” she said. Claire smiled at her as she kept staring at her face.Calista wanted to ask her how she knew she was looking for a job and she even knew she was at the bus stop but before she did, Claire suddenly said seriously to herself, “All right then! Back to work!” She then opened a black briefcase that was on her lap and took out the agreement paper and pen and looked into Calista’s eyes.“Calista, you will work at my boss’s house. You will receive a salary of $ 60,000 for a year. Your work hours start from 6 p.m. until 12 midnight. You’re free on Sundays. And you will start work today,” Claire said and smiled.
Calista was so happy when she heard her boss would pay her that kind of salary, and she also felt confused and curious. “Forgive me. Did you just say that I will work at your boss’s house? And why do I have to work until midnight?” she asked.
“Yes, you will work in his library. My boss really likes to read books and collect them. He has so many books and your job is to take care of them. He always comes to the library after dinner and spends his time there until midnight, and you have to serve and be with him until that hour,” Claire said.
Calista nodded her head, even though there were still many questions on her mind.Claire then handed the agreement letter and pen to her. “Now all you have to do is sign this,” she said.Calista took it from her hands. Her eyes keep staring at the agreement paper as she doubts if she should take this job. Finally, she signed it because she really needed this job.Claire smiled with relief and immediately took the paper and pen from her hands and put them in the briefcase on her lap. Then she looked into Calista's eyes. “Now everything is settled. From today, you will stay at our boss’s house. His driver will drive you when you go to campus and tomorrow you can stop by your house to pick up your things,” she said.“But why? Why do I have to stay there?” Calista asked in surprise.
“That’s because his house is out of town. When you finish work, it’s already midnight. You will be exhausted if you have to go home every day. You will get sick. And you’ve already signed this. That means you’ve agreed with our terms to stay there. If you don’t do that, then you have to pay the compensation,” Claire said with a serious look.
“Wh-why didn’t you tell me that his house is out of town?”
“Because you didn’t ask me.”
“Wait! Are there requirements on the paper I signed?”
“Yes. It’s on the second sheet and you didn’t read it.”
Calista's heart was beating fast as Claire smiled at her. She felt scared and worried. Claire knew how she felt. Then she held her hand, looking gently into her eyes. “Oh my dear, what’s the matter? Oh, please don’t be afraid. I also stay at his house because my house is far from there. Trust me, you will be happy to stay there just like me. And our boss, he’s very kind, and he is a gentleman. You will be happy to work for him,” she said.
Claire then whispered in her ear, “And also he is very handsome.” She smiled at her and leaned her back against her seat.Calista stared at her face with resignation. She can do nothing now and can only obey.

The car that took Claire and Calista was already outside of the city and was entering a gate of a luxurious Victorian-style mansion that was far from the crowd. The mansion is vast, beautiful, with white paint, and its front-yard filled with white roses.
“Oh, my God! This place is so beautiful,” Calista said, in admiration. It's not a house but a mansion, she said in her mind.
“I know you are gonna love this place,” Claire said, smiling. Calista smiled back at her and looked back at the mansion without blinking.
The car then stopped at the main door of the mansion. They got out of the car and walked into the mansion.
Calista could hardly believe what she saw as she stood inside the mansion. This place is so beautiful and majestic. All the rooms were so beautiful and all dominated by white. Everything in this place looks expensive and luxurious in classic style.
This mansion has 3 floors. On the 1st floor, there is a Victorian fountain in the middle of the room.
The fountain is so beautiful with a statue of a beautiful naked woman standing, holding an antique pottery jug with both hands close to her right waist in the middle of the fountain. The water comes out of the jug and flows into the pond below and goes around the pond filled with beautiful white roses.
Calista walked over to the fountain and stood by the pond. She couldn't move her eyes away, staring in admiration.
“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” Claire said as she stood beside her.Calista nodded her head as she kept staring at the fountain.
“Our boss really loves this fountain. He also really likes white roses. As you can see, he filled the whole place with his favorite flowers.”Calista was curious to hear what Claire said, making her look into her eyes. “Our boss, where is he? Can I see him now?” she asked.
“You’ll see him soon,” Claire replied with a smile. Then she took Calista’s hand. “Come with me now. I’ll show you your room,” she said excitedly as she led her hand to go with her to the second floor.
“Calista, this is your room,” Claire said, smiling.Calista stared at this room in admiration. She liked it so much. This room is so beautiful, it looks like a princess room. The room is spacious and painted white. A fine white carpet covered the floor of the room like snow. Everything in this room is beautiful and luxurious in classic style. She could see the front yard filled with white roses from the large glass window of the room. It stunned her when she saw the bathroom in the room; it was so luxurious and three times the size of her bedroom. “Do you like this room?” Claire asked. “Yes, I love it so much. This room is so beautiful. I’ve never slept in a room this beautiful before,” Calista said.Claire smiled pleasantly upon hearing what she said. She then, pointing to the luxurious white wardrobe in the room, said, “You can wear everything in the wardrobe. It’s all yours.” She suddenly spoke seriously, staring Calista in
Calista immediately got up from the sofa as Vladimir walked over and stood before her.“Vladimir? Why are you here?” she asked. She felt both nervous and curious.“I’m here to read a book,” he said. Her eyes keep on his eyes while my brain is busy thinking. “Wait! If you’re here to read a book, then you are ... my boss?!” she asked in surprise. He smiled gently at her, hearing what she said. She couldn't believe what was happening as she asked herself why he could be her boss. Her mind went blank, making her speak without thinking. “Please have a seat.” She suddenly bit her lip and said nervously, “Or not.” She just remembered that this was his house and the one who should have said those words was him, not her.“Thank you, Calista,” he said teasingly and gave her a smile. She avoided his eyes with her cheeks burning in embarrassment. He then sat on the sofa, crossing his legs. He put his index finger on his lips while gazing at her
“Thank you for being with me tonight. I had a wonderful time with you,” Vladimir said into Calista’s eyes when they stood at the door of her room. “I should be the one who says thank you. You are very kind to me. You gave me a job and allowed me to stay in such a beautiful place. I’m so happy. I never thought something like this would happen in my life,” she said gratefully. He smiled gently at her, as she could see her happiness in his eyes. They stared at each other warmly for a moment and then he said in his soft voice, “I’ll see you again tomorrow. I bid you goodnight.” He then put his left hand behind his back, brought his right hand to his waist, and bowed politely to her. It stunned her to see him like that. Never had a man treated her as polite as him before. She really loved the way he treated her.He wanted to leave her but before he left she immediately said, “Please wait!” He looked into her eyes and waited for what she would say to
The sound of the singing birds woke Calista from her sleep. She opened her eyes and saw sunlight coming in through the window. She sat up and leaned her back against the head of the bed. She bit her lip as she felt a slight pain around her entrance. She wonders what had happened to her and why does her body feel this weak. She feels like she had a dream last night, but she can’t remember what she was dreaming and the last thing she remembers is when Vladimir took her to her room and then she went to sleep. It surprised her when she looked at the clock. It’s seven in the morning. She immediately got out of bed, took a shower to get ready for the campus. ****** Calista came out of her room and immediately descended the stairs. She was curious when she set foot on the first floor; it was so quiet no one was there. She didn’t see the butler and the maids who were there last night, as if they had all disappeared. Her mind then told her she
“Miss Calista, would you like to stop by your house before we return to the mansion?” Sebastian asked as he drove the car. “Tomorrow is Sunday, so I don’t have to take my things today. But if you don’t mind, I’d like to stop by the food shop. Claire said I could use the kitchen in the mansion and I wanted to cook. And please don't call me miss, just call me by name,” she said and smiled friendly to him staring in the rearview mirror. She’s so happy to be working in the library and she wants to make chocolate cookies for Vladimir, Claire, and Sebastian to thank them.Sebastian smiled back with a warm smile on his face. He liked her kind and friendly nature. Suddenly, his face turned sad because he knew what would happen to this beautiful, innocent girl. ****** The sun had set when Vladimir was in the dungeon chamber of his mansion. It was creepy, cold, dark, and smelled of blood. The dim light from the torch on the wall illuminated Vladi
She opened her eyes when she heard his soft laugh as he moved his lips away from hers. “Please don’t show me that face. You make me want to tease you even more,” he said into her, smiling teasingly. She fell silent, breathing nervously, trying to calm her rapid heartbeat. Now she knew he was teasing her, deliberately frightening her. As her fear disappeared, sadness filled her heart. She felt sad that he didn't kiss her.His eyes turned soft, staring into her eyes with his gentle gaze, as he knew what she felt and wanted. He then slipped his hand gently behind her neck and brought his lips closer to hers. She immediately held back his chest with her hand before their lips touched. “Please, stop teasing me,” she said into his eyes. She thought that he was teasing her again. He smiled devilishly at her. “Nothing can stop me. I always get what I want,” he said in a deep whisper. She gasped as he pulled her closer and kissed her lips in a passionate
Calista couldn't sleep even though it was past midnight. She was sitting on her bed, leaning her back against the headboard. She smiled with her heart beats happily, thinking of Vladimir. She never thought that he would fall in love with her. It was like a beautiful dream come true.Everything that happened between them happened so fast. She just met him and he already has her heart. But somehow she can feel that her heart has been waiting for him for thousands of years. Her eyes suddenly opened wide as she remembered something. “My cookies! I left them in the library.” She patted her head as she sighed in an upset. “Why am I so silly? I shouldn’t forget to give them to him! He must be sleeping by now.”****** Calista thought that Vladimir was asleep. She didn't know that he never slept at night. He was now sitting on the sofa in his room, staring at the small box wrapped in a white ribbon in his hands. Inside the box were the chocolate cookies Callista
Calista walked to the front door of her house after Sebastian left in the car. When she opened the door, she’s not surprised to see the living room was so messy. There were empty beer cans and cigarette butts on the table, dirty clothes on the sofa.As she walked into the kitchen she saw piles of dirty dishes in the sink, trash-strewn across the floor. The bathroom became so dirty and smelly. She’s so sad to see her parents' house become like this. She really love this house because it holds so many happy memories with her dad. She believe her parents were always with her, and they never left her. They live forever in her heart and in this house. So she will keep this house no matter what. She started cleaning the house. Her aunt and Amber are still sleeping in their room. They usually wake up when the sun goes down. ******Calista had just finished taking a shower and walked into her room, locking the door. She looked at the clock it wa
“Please... can I sleep with you? I’m afraid to sleep alone in the rain. I’ll have a nightmare,” said Calista spoiled, holding Vladimir's arm. “But now it's not raining anymore,” Vladimir said, smiling gently into her eyes. “What if it rains while I’m asleep?” He laughed softly hearing what she said. She had a devilish smile on her face. Then she took his hand and led him up the stairs to his room. ****** Calista was looking at her face in the mirror in the bathroom. She was wearing Vladimir’s white shirt. She had brushed her teeth. She had washed her face. She smiled devilishly, with two horns on her head. She was ready with her naughty plan. She opened the bathroom door, and she saw Vladimir was sitting on the sofa. He couldn't take his eyes off her as she walked closer to him. His eyes shone with passion, admiring her beautiful, sexy body. She smiled flirtatiously into his eyes and sat sideways on his lap, wrapping
Vladimir and Calista are sitting on the sofa in the library room. It's still raining outside. She didn't feel cold because the fireplace kept her warm.Vladimir was on the phone with Calista’s dad. He put his phone on speaker mode so she could hear their conversation.“Uncle, I’m sorry I called you so late. I took Calista to dinner at my mansion and it was raining here. I don’t think it will be safe if I bring her home now. I want to ask your permission so she can stay here tonight. I’ll take her home tomorrow morning,” said Vladimir. Her dad laughed merrily, then he cleared his throat and said, “Yes! Of course! You have my permission. Let her stay there. Just... take good care of her.” “Yes, uncle,” Vladimir replied politely. “Then have a good night,” her dad said. “Good night, Uncle,” Vladimir said before her dad turned off the phone. Vladimir then put his cell phone on the side table to his left. She kissed his right cheek as
Calista walked into the mansion with teary eyes. She was so happy she was back home. Vladimir, who was walking beside her, smiled gently at her. She smiled back with a happy smile on her face. She looked around in admiration. This place is still the same as before. Nothing has changed. She then walked to the victoria fountain in the middle of the room and stood by the pond. She kept staring at it without blinking. “Do you like this fountain?” Vladimir asked when he stood beside her. “Yes. I fell in love from the first time I saw this,” she said into his eyes. “You... have been here before?” She fell silent upon hearing his question. She just realized she shouldn’t have said that. She quickly avoided his eyes, that were staring at her curiously as she tried to hide her nervousness from him.She then saw a man wearing a black suit walking towards them. He was holding a white box tied with a white ribbon in his hands. Vladimir moved
Calista woke up from her sleep when she felt someone unbuckling her seat belt and lowering the car seat. Her heart suddenly skipped a beat, with her cheeks burning as her eyes met Vladimir's. His face was so close to hers she could feel his warm breath against her skin.“Forgive me. Did I wake you up? I just want—” He suddenly fell silent with his cheeks turning red. She could hear his rapid heartbeat in her ear. They kept staring in the eyes with their hearts thudding. She slowly moved her gaze to his lips. She wanted so badly to enjoy his lips. Then she looked back into his eyes and begged him to kiss her with her eyes.He understood what she wanted from him, then he slowly moved his gaze to her lips and held her chin gently. She closed her eyes as he pressed his lips against hers.He sucked on her lower lip gently. He slipped his tongue into her mouth, tangling with hers, making her moan into his mouth. She felt heat rising in her core.
The sun was almost setting with its cold light wrapping around Calista’s body, which was leaning against the outer wall of the theater. Her eyes kept staring at the theater entrance as her heart kept begging to see the one she loved the most. She always came back to this place and waited for Vladimir here after her campus. It's been a week, and she still hasn't found him.“Tomorrow, dad will go out of town. I will go to the mansion. I have to find him there,” she said in her mind. She suddenly remembered something and immediately took out her cell phone in her bag. It surprised her that her dad had called her many times. She didn’t hear it because she put her phone on silent mode. She then called her dad. “Calista! Where are you now?! I called you many times! We’ll be late for dinner!” he said with a rising voice. “I-I’m so sorry. I’ll be home soon. See you,” she said hastily, hanging up her phone. She immediately stopped the taxi and le
“Vladimir, where are you now? Please come back to me. Please... I beg you,” Calista said in her mind. “Honey, what’s the matter? Are you alright?” She woke up from her thoughts and turned to her left. She saw her dad, who was sitting in the driver's seat, was staring at her with sad eyes. She could see in his eyes that he was really worried about her.She felt bad for making him feel that way. She then tried to smile at him to hide her sadness. “I’m fine. See you,” she said and kissed him on the cheek. “Honey, wait!” he said as she opened the car door, making her look him in the eye. “Don’t forget. We’re having dinner with Uncle Stevan,” he said. She nodded at him with a smile, then she got out of the car and went to her class.Calista's dad didn't leave the place and stayed in the car. He furrowed his brows in thought. “What really happened to her? Why does she look so sad? She cries every night. And why was she crying in the rain like
“Mom died when she gave birth to me. The book can’t bring her back to life because I have no memory of her. Aunt Anna and Amber are alive. Dad says he doesn't know where they are now. They haven’t contacted us since Mom died,” Calista said in her mind. Her heart suddenly pounding. “And soon, he will be back in my arms,” she said again in her mind and smiled with her cheeks burning. “Honey, why are you smiling so happily?” She woke up from her thoughts and turned to her left. She saw her dad, who was sitting in the driver's seat, was staring at her face curiously. She just realized that they were already in the parking lot of the theater. “We have arrived!” she said, laughing awkwardly. Her dad smiled gently at her while Alice, who was sitting in the back seat, smiled at her with a dazed face.“You two have fun. I have to go now. Uncle Stevan is waiting for me. I’ll be here after the show,” he said. Calista nodded into his eyes.
“Calista... Wake up.” Calista opened her eyes when she heard a soft voice whispering in her ear. Sunlight shines through the window, shining on her face. She felt like she just woke up from her deepest dream. Her heart suddenly beat fast as she couldn't believe her eyes when she saw Alice sitting next to her, smiling at her. She immediately lifted her head from the library reading table and hugged her into her arms. “Alice!” she said in tears.“Calista, what happened? Why you crying?” Alice asked anxiously. Calista said nothing, just kept crying. She felt so happy. She never thought that she could see her and hug her again. Alice let go of her hug. “Please, tell me. Why you crying?” she asked into her eyes. Calista couldn't tell her the truth, so she lied to her. “I just woke up from my nightmare,” she said with a sob. “Oh gosh! You scared me. I thought something bad happened to you,” Alice said in relief. She then wiped her tea
Cedric, who was sitting on the chair near the bed where his father was sleeping, startled, as he did not feel Calista’s presence in the mansion. “Speculum Secretum!” he said with his eyes wide open. He immediately left the room as fast as a shadow, and he was now standing near the stairs on the first floor. “Why are you here! I told you never to leave her!” he yelled at the maid who was standing in front of him. “Forgive me, my prince. Princess Calista said she was hungry. I-I want to cook for her,” she replied, terrified. Cedric’s eyes turned red with anger. He gripped and broke her neck before she could blink. He then moved fast, and he was now at the door of Vladimir’s room. It surprised the vampires who were standing guard there to see him. They immediately bowed politely and said, “My prince.” Cedric ignored their greetings and opened the door. He was furious that Calista was not in the room. He then killed his men mercile
