“Calista, please help me save my sister,” Sebastian said when they were standing at the door of a hut.

“Claire is your sister?” she asked.

He nodded at her with his sad eyes.

She stared at him in a daze, then she asked, “What happened to her?”

“You’ll find your answer once we’re down there,” he replied.

She was so confused now and didn't know what to do. Her heart told her to run into Vladimir’s arms, but her mind forced her to stay. She then chose to stay.

Sebastian then opened the door, and they walked into the hut. It terrified her when she saw two men sitting in chairs with their heads resting on the table in front of them.

“Don’t be afraid. I’ve put sleeping pills in their drinks,” he said into her eyes.

She breathed a sigh of relief, trying to calm her fear. He then walked to the corner of the room and pulled down the statue attached to the wall.

Only Prince Cedric can help us,” he said into her eyes. “Sebastian’s right. Please come with us,” Claire said. Fear and sadness took over Calista’s mind, making her unable to think clearly. The moon shone in its dim light as Vladimir was sitting on a chair in the hut with a letter in his hand. The two men and the two vampires who were in charge of guarding the place were standing in a row facing him. Great fear wrapped around their bodies made their bodies tremble.Brother, your wife is mine now. Finally, I can taste and enjoy every inch of her beautiful body. Vladimir’s eyes turned red as he squeezed the letter in his hand. He then got up and walked over to one vampire. He grabbed his neck as he pushed his body against the wall. Blood dripped when his nails pierced his skin into his veins. He then broke his neck and let his body fall to the floor. The others were scared to death. They immediately knelt down, begging for mercy. “Please, my prince, please forgive us. Please, spare our lives.” Vladimir ignored their pleas and brutally killed them. “No! Please don’t kill him. You said you wanted to save him. Why did you lie to me!” Calista said in a panic.“I didn’t lie to you. He’s free of the curse now,” Cedric said casually. Then he smiled evilly at her. “I never told you I would not kill him. I only lied one thing to you. I was the one who killed Alice,” he said in a deep voice. Sadness, anxiety, and fear gripped her at the same time, making tears fall from her unblinking eyes. She always believed in her father’s words. There is love and forgiveness in someone’s heart, even if he is the meanest and cruelest person, and she truly hopes she can find it in Cedric’s heart. “Cedric, please... He is your brother. Please let him go,” she pleaded with him.He cradled her chin in his hand and said, “I can’t do that. He must die so I can be with you.” “No! Please... Please don’t kill him. “Our great and unbeaten prince has defeated by beauty. His first love has taken his life,” the elder said, smiling evilly. “What Arazor thought was right. Vladimir is Seline’s son. Fortunately, he gave me the potion before he died. He also told me to seal our minds from him so that he could not find out our plans.” Cedric, who was sitting on the sofa next to him, didn't listen to what he said. He kept thinking about Calista. He loved her so much, but he couldn’t have her heart. “Why can’t I make her forget him? Why?!” he asked angrily in his mind. “I can't turn her into a vampire. I can't let her get my powers. I have to keep her weak so she can't run from me. Vladimir had given her the elixir of life that made her never grow old and sick. Her beauty will be mine forever,” he said again in his mind, and smiled devilishly. “Cedric! Did you hear what I said?”Cedric turned to the elder in startled, and he just realized he was staring at him curio
