My feet Carrie’s me through the forest, I have no idea where I’m going to but my wolf reassures me there is a pack a few miles away from here, if I could just get there by tonight. The sounds of owls hooting and snakes in the forest are enough to scare me back to my old pack but I move forward, my head beating wildly in my chest, the sound of water fills my ears After walking for a few hours my eyes meet with a small waterfall, the sky darkens further as I decide to rest here for the night. I fill my water bottle up and sit up against a tree thinking through my plan, “All you have to do ELARA is survive tonight, by tomorrow I’ll get to the next pack and I can live out the rest of my days there, happy and free” My eyes move around the thick forest, hoping I don’t attract any rouges of any kind, as I’m already weak from walking for hours. “Rest, you will need it,” my wolf says calling me down, if there was a need to be alert she would tell me. I shut my eyes remembering what happened a few moments ago with Zane. I can’t believe he was my mate this entire time. The only reason we couldn’t find each other was because I was never allowed to attend the big parties, and I never had the opportunity to be in the same room with him, I wonder if he had found me earlier if he would still treat me the same? What if I didn’t escape the pack after he found out? Would he tell everyone I was his mate and future Luna or cast me to the side like everyone else? “I guess I’ll never know” I whisper the words to myself, my eyes stinging with tears at this new loss. I know my wolf was angry at me, we always wanted to know who our mate was, to bond with him to be marked by him. The burning pain on my neck reminds me of his mark, I know the pain could get worse the further I am away from him, but maybe I can deal with it, I mean how bad can it be? “Elara” my wolf brings me back to reality “What?” I reply my eyes flying open just in time for a black wolf to jump over me. I slide to the side immediately my eyes meeting with a single wolf, the wolf is two times my size with shining red rabid eyes. He growls running towards me again but my feet carry me quickly, I can’t transform so I depend on my legs to carry me to the river beneath the waterfall. The wolf tries to follow me into the water but I submerge myself into the water, trying to swim away against the current. I can’t fight a full adult rouge wolf, my heart beats recklessly in my chest, as I stick my head out, gasping in short breaths my eyes move around the landscape. The currents carried me to a completely different area, now I don’t know if I’m close to or far away from my actual destination. Water drips down my face as I nervously look around the area, not wanting to come out of the water in fear, I look around me, hoping the wolf can’t catch up to me. I breathe heavily, finally walking out from the water, I bend over tired and exhausted when I hear another growl on my left. I turn to the side, and this time another brown wolf with red eyes stares down at me, I turn to run to my side but another wolf corners me from the side. I frown, a group of rouges? I thought they didn’t work together. Their eyes glow in the dark and I turn around to fly back into the water but I’m blocked by the wolf I ran away from in the first place, the black wolf. “I’m a rouge just like you!!” I yell in fear, sweat, and water dripping down my face, “I escaped from my pack because I was an Omega!!” I yell walking backward but the breath of the wolf behind me blows on my back softly halting my heart. Is this how I’m going to die? I close my eyes ready for it to happen, for them to tear me apart and use my bones to pick their teeth like they told us in stories about rouges. Instead, I hear a loud growl, followed by another, I open my eyes and they meet with a scene I don’t understand I roll my hands tightly into my palm, shock, and anxiety going through me as I shake in the place where I stand. In front of me, the three rouges are being fought by a single brown wolf, the wolf takes down the first wolf, biting down on its neck and throwing him to the floor aggressively, he transforms back to his human form, a large chomp of his neck gone now. My eyes turn back to the fight as I step back little by little, the brown wolf's eyes are a bright blue color and he grips the next wolf by the neck as they both attack. The brown wolf overpowers the two leaving them with fatal injuries. The wolf turns to me as they all transform back into humans, all with one huge injury or the other. “I’m not a part of them” I want to yell but it comes out as barely a whisper, how can one wolf overpower three rouges The wolf turns to me slowly walking towards me, the wolf starts to transform, bones shattering and cracking as it turns into a girl. “Hi I’m Silvia” she sends me a soft smile, “excuse me please,” she says nicely and I can’t believe the sight I just saw. She grabs a few clothes behind a tree, changes into them, and approaches me “Now what is an omega like you doing in this dangerous part of the forest?” She raises

ELARA POV The car comes to a stop in front of a house and Silvia turns to me with a smile. “We are here, let's be quick and we can go straight to the alpha’s house” She taps my shoulder pulling herself down from the car. We enter her home and the sight shocks me, the house is very warm and cozy with a lot of cool tone lights, I walk into the living room my eyes moving around “You live alone?” I turn to her eyes wide She nods, “The Beta of the pack is my father, and I'm being trained for the position” She places her keys on the side, leading me up the stairs “Women are allowed to become Beta’s here?” I ask shock in my system “Omegas are not allowed here either” she responds swiftly stopping in front of a door, “okay this is your bedroom, I will find some clothes that will fit you, have a shower and I will bring them in, is that alright?” she rubs my arm reassuring me as we move along.
