Dylan had said to his guys that he wanted to take a nap, that he should be woken when they get to the pack.
He slowly opened his eyes and looked around. This was the first time he would be here. He didn't know why his father would insist on coming to this pack every time. It wasn't a big pack, so he didn't see what was worth coming.
As they drove to the Pack house, he saw an old woman crying a girl in her arms. This made him wonder why it would be so.
Looking at the girl in her hands, even though they were not so close, he still knows that she wasn't a child.
That picture brought a stir to his heart and he didn't know why.
"Stop," he said all of a sudden.
His beta Luc looked at him.
"Your Highness?" He called.
"Stop the car," he said.
Then the car stopped immediately.
"Are you alright, your Highness?" His Beta asked him.
" Get down, go see if the girl that old woman is carrying is dead" he said with a bland voice.
The Beta got down, and at first he didn't see the old woman he was talking about but when he looked, he saw the old woman walking slowly.
He then ran to them.
The old woman, seeing him running towards her, had a bit of fear in her heart.
When she saw the car pass by them, she knew it might be the lycan King arriving but then this King seemed to be different from the one who did come. He didn't come in convoys as usual.
"Ma'am" the Beta said when he got there.
The old woman could only bend her neck slightly.
"His Highness wants to know whether she is alright," he said.
"She is fine......."
The old woman started to say but was interrupted by Selena's crying voice.
"It hurts..... I'm gonna die" she cried out.
Her eyes were tightly closed. It was as if she didn't know that she was even talking.
The Beta could see the pain in her furrowed face and he had pity on her.
"Do you need me to help you to the hospital?" He asked.
The old woman shook her head and gave a sad face.
"It's not something doctors can treat. It will wear out soon" she replied.
The Beta looked at her for a while before he nodded. Even though he wanted to help, it was something he couldn't do without the King's order.
"Take care ma'am" he then returned to his King.
" She's not dead but sick" he relayed.
"Okay" Dylan said.
His Beta looked at him, thinking he would say more but then he didn't.
"Do you want me to go help them to the hospital?" He asked.
" No," Dylan said.
His beta looked at him strangely. He didn't know why he bothered to stop when he wasn't ready to help.
"Drive," he said to the driver.
Getting to the venue, everyone was already dancing and eating. Immediately his presence was announced, everyone stopped.

Dylan brought out his phone. "See. This is exactly what I want my new room to be like and I'm giving you just twelve hours" he said. Marcus' eyes widened as he saw the picture on his phone. He felt like he was about to be sentenced to death by hanging. Everything in the room that was in the picture he was staring at looked only befitting for a wealthy King. Not them. Their pack was a small and not wealthy one. How could they get such luxuries in the next twelve hours? If they spend so much just for a room, they will have to suffer for months. "Your Highness...... Dylan was eating when this delicious smell made him freeze. Since his existence, he has never smelt something so delicious that it got his heart beating fast. He turned slowly to the direction where the smell came from. He then saw a very weak looking female head bowed and talking to herself. He watched her vigorously. He was surprised at her beauty when she finally lifted up her head. "Mine" his wolf growled. That realisation got him frightened that he stood there static. Then he also heard his Beta say, "mine " too and that got him more confused. Dylan never heard that an Alpha and his beta shared mate. The female looked at them wide eyed and fell to the ground. Selena then remembered that her sister and her former mate were having a wedding which was supposed to be traced by the Lycan King. “Why is he here?" She asked in her heart. … … … Back at the pack house. The wedding has been ruined because now everyone was running helter skelter to make sure that what the lycan King demanded is very much accomplished. They all couldn't stop cursing at Selena for doing this to them as if she was the Lycan King. "Where is that witch?" Hyrene shouted furiously. "Luna, she's been carried away by your grandmother," one of the guards replied. " Get her for me!" She roared that everyone in the building got scared. The guard ran out. "That fool shouldn't be anywhere happy while my wedding is being ruined!"

My hands are full" Selena said. Lucius quickly went to the door and opened it. And the aroma of the food mixed with the delicious smell of its carrier hit Dylan's nose. He inhaled a whole chunk of air and exhaled slowly. He forced himself not to smile. "I'm sorry to disturb you," Selena said softly. " No problem. Come on in" Lucius said with a smile.
