“The Alpha King slept with her?" The priestess asked and Marcus nodded.

It wasn't even once that he had felt him sleep with her and that was the most annoying thing to him. He had always felt Selena was his but talking to the priestess gave him a pain in the heart because he knew that he might have lost her.

"I can't understand it too but then, there's no way she would have survived your rejection if she didn't have another mate" the priestess said.

Marcus gave a distant look. Selena isn't suffering in silence or is she? All these were really giving him headaches. He came here to find a solution for himself and he found out more things that would give him more headaches.

"Selena, why is your life so complicated?" he asked beneath his breath.

He was determined to find out the root of it. If Selena was really suffering in silence, he wouldn't hesitate to take her away from the Alpha King no matter what it takes.
