Lucius looking at her worried face smiled at her.

"Don't be too worried Selena. I'm only going on a leave" he said.

Selena breathed in and breathed out to show her sign of relief. She didn't know if her heart could contain those two fighting again. The gossip that was started against her that the Alpha King and his Beta were fighting because of her has not even died down. Now if they heard that the Beta has been fired again, they would surely murder her secretly.

"I thought you were fired," she said as she sat down on the chair nearest to her.

Lucius burst into laughter.

"Do you think that my disobedience can get at any time?" He asked in mockery.

" No Lucius. It's just that you and the Alpha King are not always predictable. This minute you are fine together and the next minute it is another story entirely" she said.

Lucius smiled at her.

" You worry too much, beautiful woman. The Alpha King can't fire his Beta just like that" he said jokingly.

"If you are going on a leave, wh
