“How did I offend them?” Dana pouted.

“You didn’t offend them but the one who paid them.” Ben chuckled in amusement as he gently knocked on her forehead. He was amused as Dana was usually keyed on. These sort of questions were Lara’s and Sarah’s portfolio. Ben only thought about it inwardly. He was not foolish to take the odds of 4 against 1.

“Wipe that thought.” Frank pursed his lips that were curled up to the right. “My wife isn’t that stupid.”

“Neither is mine!” Ed smirked. How could they not know what Ben was thinking? ‘Coz this was the exact same thought that passed their minds when they heard Dana.

Ben shrugged, his face twisted between smile and indifference.

“What’s wrong?” Steve asked as he walked in.

“She can’t remember what happened before getting knocked out.” Ben’s voice was edged in concern.

“More like she’s been knocked silly.” Lara giggled while Dana pouted.

“Why don’t you tell me why you suspect memory loss?” Steve sat down with his notepad.
