How would I dare?

“Dring…. Dring… Dring”

Shadow’s phone lit up with a number that he hadn’t seen for 3 years. His face lit up with emotions and finally calmed down maintaining his indifference. Ben watched him from the background. He knew there was only one number that could bring all those emotions to Shadow’s face.

“Aren’t you going to answer?”

“Boss, I don’t think I can indulge him with what he wants”

“Answer the phone first, that’s an order” Ben knew how long Shadow waited for this call.

“CEO” Shadow called gratefully.

He picked up the phone and put it on loudspeaker. He wanted Ben to hear the conversation as he suspected the content. He hadn’t spoken to his younger brother in years and people change. Although he didn’t want this to be the case, he had to be cautious. However, the content was contrary to his expectation

“Hello”

“Brother”

“Please check the number, you might have reached the wrong number” Shadow feigned anger although he was ecstatic.

Ben smirked.

“Are you still mad at me?”
