Eva sat down with a grim expression “Cuppa can wait.” She did not think of herself as an outsider when it came to Dana. She considered Dana as her goddaughter.

Dana smiled and sat down with Eva acting like a spoilt child “Why the grim face? Are you not happy to see me?” Dana pouted.

“How can that be?” Eva’s expression eased as she turned towards Dana and smiled “How have you been, my dear child?”

Dana smiled sweetly as hugged Eva “I couldn’t be better now that you are here.”

“You sure know how to make an old lady blush.” Eva smiled affectionately holding Dana’s hand; her expression changed as she looked pointedly at Ben who was standing with a dark face “Dana, who is this?”

Eva was a good judge of character. She knew this man was not to be trifled with. She wouldn’t let anyone take advantage of her girl.
