Nix watched as Betty helped him up, she took care of him and fed him so gently. She had refused to leave him saying that she had nothing to do back home. She was like a worried mother hen. Nix felt butterflies in his stomach, it was a new feeling to him. He thought that she was just returning the favor he had shown her by saving her from the hands of that man, this somehow lessened his joy.

He thought she had done it because she cared not to return it. As he was contemplating Dilan arrived. Immediately he stepped into the room he saw how frightened Betty was, he turned over to Dilan and glared at him showing his displeasure at his arrival

"How are you doing now nix"

"Am fine" he replied coldly
