Why so nice?

"Lola we don't have time he already asked the housekeeper for you" the maid said flustered

Lola Decided to let her hair down to cover her face then followed the maid. She was panicking why did he ask for her specifically though she was his personal maid but still. That man hated her so nothing good could actually come from him specifically asking for her.

In the living room Hayden sat on the couch while the housekeeper stood by the side

"Where is she" Hayden asked

"Young master I already sent someone to call her maybe she's asleep since you said you won't be coming today" the housekeeper replied earning himself a glare.

What was wrong with him today. why did he say he won't be coming back today. anyway it was not a lie he had no intentions of returning but came to spy on her to know when she returned who knew she will return with A swollen face

Lola and the maid went the living room her long hair was covering her face. If he hadn't seen her before he wouldn't notice that she had a swollen face

"Welcome young master" Lola said nervous without doubt. He didn't actually give her a reason to not feel scared of him.

He then stood up and walked towards her. Lola put up a reminder in her hearts never to believe when he said he wouldn't return. She unconsciously took a step back fearing he would hit her. She had only been hit once by her employer.

He stopped directly in front of her only a few inches away and looked at her hair

The housekeeper felt grief for her how could she come out with her hair so messy she should have tied it up on her way here. But it's not like she had time

"Did you receive the loan" Hayden asked his voice a little softer. All Lola heard was bells ringing in her ears not the softness

"Yes young master" Lola said her head lowered

His next action shocked everyone

He directly used his hand to move her hair away from her face to reveal that it was still red. Noticing how she flinched when he raised his hands. Making him frown more.

The maids and the housekeeper didn't notice the red face they only stared at the young master if wondering if he was real it wasn't until he spoke that they noticed.

"What happened to you here"he said running his thumb gently on the red part of her face.

Lola stepped back subconsciously her head still lowered she had already made up her mind to lie. She was weary of this man's intention

"I ran into a wall in my room" Lola lied without blinking. She was not a saint and had her own share of lies besides the truth would put Daniel in trouble.

He looked at her. He knew she had lied but merely nodded his head. He was worried about her face more so he said to the housekeeper.

"Call doctor James over and be fast"

He grabbed Lola's hand and led her to his room on the second floor. She stood her ground at first unsure what exactly what this man wanted from her.

"I'm fine totally fine. No need to call a doctor" she tried to pull her hand from his grip to no avail but he merely dragged her along

Leaving in his wake this stunned housekeeper and maids. Young master was even calling his personal doctor for her.

When he entered his room with Lola he said "sit down"

While he went ahead to bring the medicine box

Lola stared around the room and decided not to sit The young master was in neat freak how dare she sit on his sofa. She shifted her weight from one lef to the other nervously pondering if she should leave now he wasn't watching. But that was stupid he could easily get her back.

Why was he being nice to her. She was scared and worried. No one did free things there was always a hidden reason.

Hayden returned with the medicine box to see Lola still standing with her head lowered. He frowned at her. Taking her hand he took her to the sofa and made her sit . Lola was reluctant but she didn't dare resist.

Hayden used his hand to gently lift her chin to face him. There wasn't much distance between them. Lola took the opportunity to study his features he was really handsome carefully sculpted by God. She leaned back trying to keep their distance.

She was so drawn to his face that she didn't notice the warmth in his eyes as he watched her assessing him. He also let his eyes roam her face he looked at her nose which was so small and cute.

He lowered his head to kiss her nose But Lola retreated. He might be handsome but he was still her boss there was no way she would start something she couldn't end. What did he want was he being nice to her so he could bed her.

Hayden tried getting closer once more but a knock on the door spoilt it

"Young master doctor James is here" the housekeeper announced

Hayden frowned at the door before finally saying "let him in"

Lola shifted away from him.

Doctor James walked in and greeted Hayden the housekeeper had already told him he was here to see Lola

"Good day miss" doctor James said with people at smile on his face

"Hello" Lola said returning his smile

Doctor James walked forward to examine her face seeing how close they were Hayden regretted not having a female doctor on hand. When he saw James about to touch her cheek he lost it

"Stop!...... tell me what you want to do and I'll do it " making Lola flinch and James look at him puzzled

"Hayden this is my job it would be wrong for me to bother you" James said raising his brows at Hayden who was steaming

"I said I would do it" he said his voice leaving no room for arguments

James passed him the ointment. "It's okay for the doctor to do it" Lola said not wanting Hayden that close to her again.

"Hayden you just need to rub this on the bruised area " James said understanding Hayden wouldn't back down

"I'll do it my self" Lola said taking the ointment from James not wanting her master anywhere near her anymore.

When Lola was done James told Lola she was to use the ointment two times a day till the red patch cleared.

Lola thanked him at least there was no need for drugs

When James left. Lola stood up to leave but she heard.

"Sit" Lola reluctantly sat back. She didn't like this room it made her feel nervous. This man was unsettling her.

Hayden sat on the opposite sofa reading a file. Lola decided to look around with her eyes. She thought of what happened earlier with the Young master and a blush faintly appeared on her cheeks.

Unknown to her Hayden had been watching her secretly from behind the file. It wasn't until her eyes landed on him that she realised.

Hayden dropped the file on the table as he smiled at the flustered Lola. Did he hit his head somewhere she wondered

Lola lowered her head once more when she saw him smile. Did the young master skip taking his medicine how could he smile?

And at her? She went back to her former theory was he just being nice so he could get her laid or was she just overthinking.

Hayden was still smiling when Aaron knocked

"Young master dinner is served" it was Lola job to call him down for meals but he wasn't sure of her predicament.
