“What do you mean by that?” Tanya asked.

“I meant what I said. You know it's true.” Alexander said.

“Yeah it's true. But why would you say it like that?” Tanya asked.

“You wouldn't want to sleep in a room with no doors, will you?”

“Well, I can. Or better still, I can go to sleep in the living room.” Tanya said.

“Just stay here. I have a lot of work to do so you can sleep comfortably.” Alexander said when he noticed Tanya was getting a bit annoyed.

“I'm heading back to the study.” Alexander said.

“Wait.”

Alexander, who was about to leave, paused.

Does she want him to stay with her?

That would be good for him.

Alexander turned around to look at tanya.

“Well, I'm hungry.” Tanya said.

“What?”

Was that what she wanted to say?

“I'm hungry. Is there anything to eat in the kitchen?”

“No there isn't. The cook didn't cook dinner. I didn't tell her to.” Alexander said.

“Oh. Okay. Then…..can you cook something for me? Anything is fine.” Tanya said meekly.
