It was morning back at the pack, the sun was just rising, its warm rays shot through the windows, slowly illuminating the castle's infirmary as Liam lay peacefully in one of its beds. Slowly, he opened his blue eyes to the white ceiling above him. He turned sideways to the bench beside his bed, and saw Adira sleeping on it. She still had the hoodie on that was stained with blood, with a blanket covering the lower part of her body. Her injured forehead had been healed. Did she sleep here? He wondered. Memories of how he was shot abruptly came flying into his head. Swiftly he pulled the blanket covering the lower part of his body, to see his stomach bandaged. "Great, you're awake…" Laura walked into the room holding a basket filled with folded bed sheets, which she dropped by the bottom of the bed. "What happened?" "What happened is that you gave us all a scare last night, especially her." She gestured to Adira. "Despite how hard I tried to get her to change her clothes, or go t
Adira may have gone out of Theodore's head, but he was still captured, sitting on the iron chair while Roman continued to glare at his face, smiling in a devilish manner. "Who are you?" Theodore finally summoned the courage to ask, bringing the awkward silence that had lingered in the room for what felt like an eternity, to an end. "So he speaks." Roman chuckled, took a step back and folded his hands on his chest. "Well, I'm Roman, a hunter. It's nice to finally meet you, Theodore. I'd shake your hands, but you know." He gestured to Theodore's hands. Theodore scoffs, took a quick glance back at his hands which were chained behind him, anchored to the ground and slowly turned back to him. "You do realize if I tried hard enough, I could break out of these chains." "Oh really?" Roman chuckled, showing off half his teeth. "You can try all you want. But you must know, you can't break them. Those chains are made with pure silver, the more you struggle, the more it'll burn your wrists
It was now noon, Adira had just had her bath and walked out of the bathroom into Theodore's room with a towel tied around her chest. On the bed, there were a few clothes, left there by Laura. Nervously she walked over, and swiftly put them on. It was a black skinny jeans, white T-shirt with a black jacket. Feeling confident, she turned around and walked out the door, but was supprised to see Liam standing there, about to knock on the door. "Whoa…." His mouth was left slightly opened, while his eyes were fixed on her body. Leaving Adira dumfounded, she couldn't tell if it was because he liked it the clothes or because she looked silly. "Is it too much?" She asked nervously. "I borrowed theses from Laura, because my old clothes were ruined with blood stains. If it's too much I could go back and—" "No!" He cut her short by seductively grabbing her hand. "You look bad a*s in this. Plus, it being all black would make it even harder for the hunters to spot us as we try to rescue Theo
There were only three hunters guarding that part of the warehouse, and they all pointed their guns at Dominic and his men the moment he stepped out of the car. Despite being faced with such danger, Dominic smiled without a single grain of fear visible in him. He proceeded to walk to the front door with his men walking behind him. The hunter standing at the front door, stood firmly, pointing his AK 47 at him but Dominic and his men weren't stopping. In fear, he started calling the hunters guarding other parts of the warehouse to the front door with his walkie-talkie. In less than a second, the hunters guarding other parts of the warehouse rushed over to the front door, making their numbers amount to over a dozen, with all of them pointing their guns at Dominic. "Stand back!" The hunter standing at the front door finally had enough courage and yelled at the top of his voice, bringing Dominic to an abrupt stop. "This will be your last and only warning, take your men and leave now.
At the other side of the cliff, Liam, Adira, Shira Edward and Peter were still carefully watching in total silence. "He is surrounded!" Adira gently placed her hand on Liam's shoulder. "This is the time to attack!" Shira's eyes quickly moved to them like a hawk watching its prey, she had not been able to shake the feeling that something was going on between them. Especially since the way he pulled her back from the cliff when they first arrived, and how he jumped in the argument while she was basically defending him against Adira, to still defend Adira. Liam on the other hand wasn't dumb, he had been noticing this as well. The last thing he wanted was for more people to know about him and Adira, especially Shira of all people. "I am aware.." He coldly removed Adira's hand from his shoulder, and turned around to Edward and Peter, while taking off his shirts. "Okay, it's showtime boys. Come on, we have to take off our clothes, so we don't mess it up as we shift into our wolf forms.
Liam grabbed Theodore by the shoulders, and aggressively turned his whole body to face him, brain matter and blood was splashed all over his face. Liam then sighed in relief as he realized Theodore wasn't the one shot. But who was shot? Both of them quickly turned to face Roman, a hole was right in his forehead, then his lifeless body that was still standing, thudded on the ground. Theodore's eyes were left wide open, too stunned to speak. Roman's body falling, revealed Dominic who was standing at the edge of the cliff, holding Roman's pistol that he had earlier knocked off his hand. He had picked it up earlier when he pretended to fall dead to the ground, then crawled all the way to a corner of the edge of the cliff, that was far away from the forest cliff which was why Shira or Adira didn't see him either. "Roman missed my heart, I guess he's the only one going to hell today!" Dominic chuckled, then a devilish smile settled in. "Or maybe you could join him too." He abruptly p
"Stop!" Adira abruptly pushed Theodore back, after kissing him for what felt like an eternity. "This isn't right…" She exclaimed. "Is something?" His brown eyes pierced at her face. "You can't see nothing wrong with this, with us?" She gestured to him and herself. "You've already made it pretty clear today that you're with Shira." "But…." He took a step closer, seductively staring at her blue eyes then gently held her hand. "You can't deny that you didn't feel something magical from that kiss too." Just like that, she was once again charmed by his physic and beautiful brown eyes. But she quickly snapped out of it, pulling her hand away from him. "I said stop it!" "But you know it's true." "Okay, maybe it is true that I felt something during our kiss, that I still feel for you. But I cannot keep doing this….." "Keep doing what?" "Being some side piece that you can just run up to whenever you want and dump when you see Shira." "Adira, you are so much more than just some sid
Theodore's conversation with Adira left him heart broken, feeling like a jerk for making a move on her while claiming to love Shira. So he went back to Shira's room, needing to feel loved, as he knocked on her door. In less than five seconds, Shira opened the door, only in her pants and bra, wearing a robe that was partially covering her body. "Theodore?" She called, the look of utter surprise vivid in her face. "I thought you were staying at the infirmary tonight, so Laura could examine you?" Theodore's eyes scanned through her attractive boobs, down to her curves. Then he seductively held her waist and pulled her over to his body, and removed the robe on her. "I needed to see you, to feel you." He slowly leaned in, and gave her a deep kiss on the lips. Surprised at Theodore's sudden sexual drive, Shira kissed him back, and placed her arms around his shoulders, while holding each other, they both staggered into the room, and he locked the door behind them with his leg. Theodore
The first rays of sunlight peeked over the horizon, and slowly, but surely, the sky began to glow with an ethereal golden light. "Ahhh… Close the windows." Adira groaned, only to open her eyes to see herself completely naked, laying on top a completely naked Liam. "Ahhh!!!" She yelled in shock, abruptly moved back, to see her pants and bra behind her. "Oh my god." Her voice wavering as she picked them up. Liam was still soundly sleeping, like she had not just screamed. "Liam!" She aggressively kicked him with her leg, and he immediately jerked up to sit on the floor as well. His vision was still a little bit blurry, but as soon as they cleared up, his eyes were left fixed on Adira's boobs. "What are you staring at, turn around!" She yelled, and kicked him again. "Oh.. sorry…" Liam turned around, there he found his trousers, Adira's dress and his boxers. "Did we–" "I don't know!" Adira abruptly cut him short, wore her pants and bra, then stood up to look around, only to see t
A devilish smile settled on Shira's face, satisfied with the deafening silence that was coming from Adira, thinking that she had succeeded in upsetting her. "A second choice and something used to make you jealous, you say…." Adira started chuckling condescendingly without looking back at Shira. This sent Shira down a spiral of confusion, she thought she had won, so why was Adira laughing. "What's so funny?" She sneered, glaring at Adira. "I get the fact that you being a second choice, a whore and an object used to make me jealous is really hilarious, but why are you laughing?" "Because…" Adira paused and slowly turned around to stare at her directly in the face. "If a second choice can get the dress of the Alpha's mother, and could put the entire hall to silence when she walked in, are you sure she isn't the first choice?" Shira gasped, her chest pumping as her face turned red. She took a few steps back, people seated around who had heard their conversation were staring at her,
“What are you doing here?” Adira finally mustered enough courage to ask Theodore who was just staring at her without saying anything. "Well, I came to check up on you, after the whole Adolphus issue." He paused, his hands were behind him like he was hiding something he didn't want Adira to see. "You kind of disappeared." Adira remained quiet, and let out a silent sigh of relief. It seemed he had not heard about her fight with Laura, her mind started to drift into more relief and she totally forgot what Theodore had just said. “Adira!” He voiced out, suddenly pulling her back to reality. “Did you hear me? I said you kind of disappeared earlier on while crying, are you okay now?” “Yeah, sorry, my mind was a little bit carried away. I'm fine now. " "Are you sure? Adira, I came back here to this cabin to search for you, and you were nowhere to be found. You made me super worried." "Well, I did tell you not to follow me, because I needed to be alone at that time and I meant it.”
Shira swiftly walked down the staircase, through the various hallways of the castle, over to the throne room. Then she came to a stand still at the throneroom's doorway entrance. A devious smile settled on her face as she stared at Theodore who was standing at the balcony of the throne room, peacefully watching the setting sun unaware of Shira lurking by the doorway. The feeling of relief overwhelmed her, she felt it was finally victory for her over Theodore. Because she was certain once she told Theodore about the hidden relationship of Adira and Liam, it would destroy any feelings Theodore may harbor for Adira. All that would be left, would be to suggest transferring the bond from Adira to herself. She couldn't contain her joy. "Theodore, we need to talk." She finally walked into the throne room, straight to the balcony, to stand behind Theodore who didn't even turn back to her. This irritated her. "Theodore!" She took a short step forward. "Did you hear what I just said?" H
"Adira, are you okay?" Persistent, Liam stretched his hand towards her chin to lift her face up, despite her obvious behavior of wanting to back away. "Stop!" Adira aggressively held his hand and pushed it away, then in an aggressive tone she continued. "I just need to be alone right now!" "Classic Adira!" He scoffs, his shoulders slumped, as he takes a step back. "F*ck me for always trying to help when you seem hurt. I am the backlash guy right? You know what? I'm done being that!" He walked past her, continuing on his journey into the castle. She stared at him as he walked away, once again, she was getting filled up with guilt. After all, Liam had only ever tried to help. "Wait!" She finally voiced, bringing Liam to a halt. "I'm really sorry for the way I've been treating you…" She paused, tears still streaming down her cheeks, while hugging herself as if she was cold. After a short pause, she continued with her voice wavering. "It's that I've been through so much sh*t just thi
"Yes Adira, that's exactly what I am saying!" "Seriously?" Adira scoffs, and a grin settles at the corner of her lips. "You really think I'd believe that? Like seriously that's the best you could come up with?" "Adira, it's not a matter of believing. It's a matter of being truthful, whether you believe it or not. It is the truth." "Fine…." She folded her hand on her chest. "Let's say I believe what you're saying, which I don't, why would you still go through all this trouble just to get me away from the pack and kill me, knowing I'm basically family?" "Don't you dare say that, you are no family of mine, but an abomination to my lineage. And the cause of my innocent daughter's death!" The grin on her face quickly became engulfed with a serious look as she took an abrupt step backwards, memories of all the times they told her she was the cause of her mother's death back at the conclave, flashed through her head. "What did you just say?" She added, staring vigorously at Adolphus.
Theodore took another step backward, ulterly humiliated as he gulped down hard. "For the record, I have never made a choice, Adira. You just assumed I did." He said in a low tone. "Not choosing is a choice too!" She exclaimed in a loud voice. "You damn well knew that. So stop toying with my feelings when you know, we are never going to happen." "Fine…" He took a deep breath and exhaled hard, letting out all his anger in a loud tone. "You're right. I'm sorry for trying to kiss you Adira, after you gave me the go ahead by looking back into my eyes. I will NEVER ever try to kiss you again!" "Seriously! Giving you the go ahead?" She held her head up straight, gesturing with both hands. "You literally came at me for a kiss, then what? Later in front of Shira you'll treat me like I don't exist? Wait… do you actually expect me to apologize for slapping you?" "Adira, just drop it…" "Just drop it Theodore? You literally just tried to kiss me and tried to use emotional blackmail on me
"Well that was intense!" Lydia suddenly voiced out, drawing Laura's and Adira's attention to her. She had been standing behind them in the hallway, watching as the conversation with Laura got tense. "So much drama over one guy." She added. "Well he is the Alpha." Laura cut in, a smirk playing at the corner of her mouth. "He's every young girl's dream in the pack." "Well he isn't mine, plus it still doesn't change the fact that he's still just a guy mom and frankly speaking, he is not worth all the trouble." She proceeded to walk past them, over to the front door. "Lydia, wait!" Adira exclaimed, bringing Lydia to a halt before she opened the door. "I remember I hurt you last night when I shifted, I didn't have time to ask you this before, but are you okay?" "Hurt me!" Lydia scoffs, and turns around with a big smile plastered on her face, trying to hide how weak she felt. "You merely just tossed me, because you were stronger. You didn't hurt me sweet heart." "O…Kay. I just wante
"There is something you need to know…" Laura continued. "Adolphus's motive wasn't just so you could leave to protect the pack, he had over motives, or at least, so he says." "What other motive could there be?" "We don't know, he said he will only talk to you."KNOCK! KNOCK!! KNOCK!!! Someone suddenly knocked on the cabin's front door, pulling both their attention. "I'll get it!" Lydia echoed from the other room, and went to open the front door. "Mom, it's for you?" She voiced out a few seconds later. "Just get dressed, I left some clothes for you in the drawers." Laura said to Adira before she dashed out of the room to go see who was at the front door. Adira turned around and slowly walked back to the drawer which was beside the bed, brought out a black skinny jeans and a red female sleeve shirt which were carefully folded there and quickly put them on. Then looking like a model, she strolled out to the living room, only to see Shira talking with Laura at the front door. Her
