Lily's POV:

“What do you want to explain?” I asked, knitting my brows as I glanced at Blake. His face was pale and tense.

“Uh?” He blinked, looking confused.

I had no idea what he wanted to explain. Blake had received a text a few seconds ago and I was curious to see what it was about. I demanded to see the text, but before I could, his phone rang and interrupted me…

"Ryan is calling you," I said, turning Blake's phone towards his face.

He sighed heavily as color returned to his face.

"Oho, I better pick it up then," he said, swiftly grabbing the phone and answering the call.

"Yes, Ryan... What? Right now? Okay, I'm on my way there," he hung up within a few seconds.

I frowned, "What did Ryan want?" I asked, looking at the wall clock.

Blake got up from the sofa and scratched his head, "He says Sue is having a slight fever, so he is taking her to the hospital. I thought I'd go check on them," he said. I immediately jerked up from the sofa to meet his gaze.
