Chapter 65

Jason stared at me for the longest of time and I couldn't bring myself to break the contact. His eyes spoke so many things but his lips refused to move. It seemed like he wanted to talk to me but couldn't find the right words. Ethan's groan of pain brought us out of our stupor.

"April, can you get the first aid kit in the guestroom, please," Jason said hurriedly as he helped the limping Ethan inside.

I hurried over to them and I quickly closed the door, bolting it before hurrying to get the stuff.

Ethan was hurt on the back and it was claw marks. It could be a rogue attack, I hoped the injuries weren't serious as I made my way to the guest room but paused hearing the anger laced in Jason's hushed voice.

"I told you not to handle this task alone," Jason chided and Ethan grunted in pain as he lay on his front on the bed while Jason was cleaning his wound.

"It was just pack-related stuff, Jason. How the f*ck would I know I'll be attacked like this?" Ethan grunted in pain.

I love this book but I worry for her because to many people out to get her his dad ,Julie , those guys, and the one doing test on her I don't trust him and Leon wants her Jason better pull her in close and spill before he loses her.great job.
