Third person's POV. April groaned. A severe pain shot through her head slowly taking down her body. The back of her eyes throbbed in sheer pain as she tried to open them. She shifted her weight a little and could feel silk under her touch. With much difficulty, she slowly opened her eyes and the first thing she noticed after clearing her blurry vision was the unfamiliar ceiling. April blinked twice and then her eyes widened when a strong scent wafted through her nose. Her head snapped to her right where a man lay beside her. He was laying on his front so his back was to her with his face facing the other side. The shock was too much as she jerked away only to fall off the bed wincing in pain. April breathed in deeply as her fear-filled eyes fell on the man again. It was the familiar scent in the air which made her realize the guy was none other than Liam. She vaguely recalled someone knocked her out. She doubted it was Stella's plan all along but looking at the unconscious Liam
None said a word as deadly silence surrounded them. Everyone watched the bride with bated breath. Jason was expecting April to jump on him. Hug the life out of him as soon as she saw him but nothing of that sort happened. She stood there rooted to her spot not moving and not saying a word. Damon let go of her cold hands as he faced Jason. "She agreed to marry me," Damon tried to argue. "She's my f*cking mate!" Jason snarled coldly. His voice roared through the crowd, almost causing goosebumps to lace their body. He expectantly looked at the bride but April was silent as the night. His heart stuttered. Leon and Martin rushed out of the crowd and they hurried over to Jason. Jason hasn't come alone. Dave had come along with him while Nick was still looking after King Logan who had got his consciousness back and was still on bed rest. Jason appeared tough and fine but he was still recovering. "April?" Damon called but the bride didn't move an inch. All of a sudden April's scent was
April's pov. I was sniffing as Jason wrapped his arms around my frame. He buried his face in the crook of my neck as I let my tears fall silently. I hugged him tightly with my eyes closed inhaling his scent deeply. I felt at peace. My heart thumped in my ears as I tried to calm my erratically beating heart down. A sob of happiness tore through my lips as Jason rubbed my back. His fingers threaded into my locks as he massaged my scalp. None of us was able to form a word, we were too overwhelmed with all the emotions enveloping us.More tears followed. Fisting his shirt I hid my face in his shoulder and let the sobs flow through. I fell to my knees with him still holding me. I was full-blown crying. We were in the mini waiting room at the venue. I don't know how I ended up here. I just know Jason was holding me. He was alive. My mate was alive. "Shhh baby, it's okay," Jason whispered, kissing my ear as I tried to calm down. I don't know for how long I kept on crying there in his ar
April's pov. I faintly noticed that Jason unlocked the door and we stumbled inside our house. He kicked the door close, not breaking the kiss as he locked it. I was on my toes with my lips pressed to his as we kissed passionately. None of us wanted to break the kiss. I gasped when he scooped me up in his arms. I wrapped my legs around his torso and grabbed the nape of his neck. Kissing him searingly. Jason grunted as he carried me up the stairs. All of a sudden I recalled what Dave had told me. Jason's wound on the back still hasn't healed. It was too deep. I break the kiss breathing heavily. "Jason put me down," I said in a raspy voice as a frown caressed his beautiful thick brows. "I don't want to," He husked as I gripped his shoulders tightly, wiggling my legs to get down. "Your wound, it's not healed. Put me down," I said but he scoffed. "I'm fine and you're light as a feather," To emphasize he tossed me up in the air a tiny bit before catching me only to wince causing me
Jason caressed my hair as I lay half-cuddled on top of him. His arm wrapped securely around my waist. Our naked bodies entangled together. The soft beating of his heart was like a lullaby to me. I don't know what time it was; probably morning. I don't know how long we made love to each other and then we both slept. And now I woke up with Jason gently caressing my hair. I don't know how long he was up. Soothing silence engulfed us as we found peace in each other's presence. "I'll end the war," He rasped. His deep morning voice caressed my ears. I knew he would end the war. I trust him with all my heart. "I know," I whispered. My cheek squished on his sturdy chest. Jason exerted his body a lot last night and ended up wincing in pain in the end. His wound on his back got stretched, which was his cue to finally stop. Otherwise, I don't know if he would've stopped if not for the wound. "Jason," I whispered his name almost like a prayer. My heart was thumping in my ears. "I want to t
Third person's pov. Jason stepped into the warehouse that stank like rotten bodies, piss, and blood. The guards parted ways to let him in as he prowled to the room with a powerful gait. The door was opened for him as he stepped inside. All the men stepped aside when Jason stalked into the room. A thick aura of vicious revenge oozed out of him in waves. The guys held their breaths as they gulped seeing that lethal look on Jason's face. They had always seen the man smiling and helping everyone. He had shown up his mad side but this avatar of his was chilling them to their bones. He looked vicious. Brutally cruel. Jason halted right in front of Damon who was tied to a chair with silver chains. "Untie him," Jason said in a calm voice. But the underlying menace in his deep voice had the temperature of the room dropping. Derick who was also tied to another chair a bit too far watched the scene unfold with fearful eyes. He knew what they had made April go through and now Jason was h
Third person's pov April walked down the street after having coffee at the nearest coffee shop. She was headed to the university to meet Jason when all of a sudden a huge figure blocked her way. She paused. Her eyes narrowed when she recognized those brown orbs. It was Liam. April hasn't seen Liam since she woke up beside him when Stella helped her to run. Liam never contacted her either. "April," He breathed her name in a painful whisper. "What do you want Liam?" She asked calmly. Protectively placing her hand on her seven months pregnant belly. "I want to apologize," He said, causing her to look away. What was there left for him to apologize? "I know I've only ever hurt you and I'm sorry, I wanted to save you from Damon but my hands were tied-" "Enough Liam. I don't want to hear about the past," She said curtly. "I need one last favor from you," He said almost brokenly. Liam pulled out a gun and forwarded it to her. "Kill me, please. Stella is gone. You're happy in yo
"Here, happy birthday," Ethan rasped forwarding the box which had a bracelet in it. "Why?" She asked dubiously as he rolled his eyes. "Because it's your birthday," He said in a duh tone. She grabbed the box and their fingers touched. Zap of current ran down his spine at the touch and the most alluring scent filled his senses. His murky green eyes widened and pupils dilated as his wolf surged forward. "Mate!"Ethan and Susan said at the same time. She abruptly jerked her hand back causing the box to fall on the grass as they couldn't break eye contact. It was as if breath got stuck in her throat and her tongue felt heavy. She couldn't form a single word. There was a severe shortcircuit in her head as she gaped at him. Out of billions of people, her mate was Ethan. The one who gets on her nerves all the time and leaves no stone unturned to annoy her. The biggest playboy aka an excellent flirt was her mate. Ethan was the best example of men she hates. As the reality dawned on her
