Diego's POV

Something wasn't right, and even in my sleep I knew that. It was as if I was wasting my time in sleep, as if there was something I was supposed to do which I wasn't doing, and that made sleeping very uncomfortable.

I lazily opened my eyes, grateful that the white light in the room wasn't so bright, and the sun that peered through the window blinds wasn't so harsh. I tried to recall what happened while looking around, trying to figure out where I was, and there she was, Patricia, staring down at me with an unreadable expression. I jerked back, not in fear or shock, but in something in-between that fear and shock.

" You heal so fast, and you were just damn lucky that I didn't have a silver blade with me", she said, cold and withdrawn. Her face wasn't painted in shades with the different colors of the rainbow, and even her clothes spoke volumes of how much she had deviated from her usual flamboyant self.

" Why Patricia? Did I do anything to wrong you? Yes, I betra

" The blood farm. I want to go to the blood farm". " What for?" he asked, even though sure enough I knew that he knew why I was making such a request, but I answered anyway. " I agreed to provide a solution to a problem at the blood farm, and even though my time is out, I would still like to see what I can do", I said, using my pleading voice. " Well, you said it yourself, your time is up, so go back to your confined room, and wait for the decision that will be taken at the councilors' meeting", he sounded authoritative, sure enough to let me know that his word was final. " Please Maester, I beg of you, innocent children will be subjected to pain and misery if I do not see to the end of this", I got down on my knees and begged, hoping to thaw his frozen heart. " That is more of the reason why you are not permitted, now back to wherever it is you came from". The idiotic watchman must've heard him from outside. He immediately opened the door, almost like a deja Vu, ready

Everyone was silent, and only the sound of me sniffing snut in my nose could be heard. I bet they were contemplating, obviously not reconsidering. My father was also almost teary, and from where he sat in powerlessness, he gave me a reassuring smile, clearly telling me that all was well. " We cannot be sure of that", the Maester blurted out, gaining everyone's attention, " we do not know if you have been bewitched, and for starters, there is no logical explanation for you as a vampire to be compatible with a werewolf", he said, leaving me speechless and giving the others a valid point to fall back on, " and even if you are in fact, true about your feelings; which I believe you are not, that still does not justify the fact that you killed a councilors, a senior member of our pride, together with other members of our pride, and also hindered our chance at ever defeating the Northcave pack", his anger was more evident, boiling rage as he spoke, " for one, I would have ordered your exec

Malia's POV The Uber driver kept staring at me and Hansel through his rear mirror, probably astounded at how I swiftly carried him into the vehicle. " It seems like you gym a lot, huh?" he asked, his eyes running a 200 meter race from the road to the mirror. " Pardon?" I didn't understand what he meant by the word ' gym'. " I asked if you gym a lot?" " Uh, um........ yeah, yes", I finally gave up and just answered. I could only hope that since it was a yes or no question, my answer wouldn't seem weird, and most importantly, wouldn't lead to another question. " Wow, but you don't look like it at all", he continued, his right hand swaying here and there off the wheel as he drove, " women who normally gym are usually all bones and muscles, but you're slender and super feminine". " I guess I'm not like them", I just tried to go with the flow, hoping that the drive would end soon. " Looks like he's your boyfriend?" he was talking about Hansel. " Oh no, no, he's not. J

" Thanks for the ride", I said as I hurled Hansel out of the car, tightly gripped. " No problem", he said, looking around the area like a surveyor, " but where are you gonna go from here, like, there's no house here?" I was hoping he wouldn't ask such a question, but knowing fully well how unpredictable mundanes could be, I prepared a lie. " Well, tomorrow's his birthday so I decided with a few friends to hold a camp party. He was a scout and really loved camping, so we decided to remind him of old days", I dished out the lie, fresh from the oven. " Oh, that makes a lot of sense. No problem, enjoy yourselves, and happy birthday to him". " Thank you", I said as he drove off, his backlight disappearing into the distance with a slow blur. I turned around, facing the familiar woods that I had always maneuver whenever it was time to meet Diego. The familiar crocking sounds of toads and night creatures were very much audible, and the moon was absent in the sky, giving the fores

Patricia's POV " They called for what?" Valkyrie asked, his mouth wide open, his eyes almost tearing up in shock. No one spoke. No one could actually. If the witches had called for an Assembly, it only meant one thing - they have become aware of Diego and his abnormal mate. " Who summoned the coven?" he asked no one in particular, placing his two hands on his head as if the head was about to fall off. " Who the hell called the coven?" he banged his fist on the table in fury, as if it was the poor table that had summoned the coven. It was that witch girl, Ariel or whatever it is they called her. I was so certain about that. " Take him out", the Maester said as Diego was still mopping at everyone in surprise. I escorted him outside to the guard who was to take him to his captive chambers. " Patricia?" he called as I was about to leave. " What is it?" I turned to face him, anger building up in me just with the sight of him. He just kept quiet, as if he wanted to

Dad stood in the middle of the cave, a fire torch in his hand, illuminating the pitch black space with yellow light. I was trembling, almost crying and almost freezing to death. Mom was tied to the side, her hands wounded behind her and tied to her feet, her mouth gagged as she continued crying, pleading consistently. She was saying " please, don't make her do this, please don't" but everything sounded like grunts, how I was able to get what she was saying was all intuition. Dad wasn't listening to her, I bet he wasn't even hearing her. His ears were clogged with rage and fury and his eyes were hot blood red as he stared at me in disdain. " Patricia", he calmly called, his voice more cold than ice, sending shivers to my already shivering body. " Yes dad", I answered still crying my eyes out, hoping that he would retrieve his order, that he would tell me that it was all a joke, that everything was a prank he and mom had planned. But it wasn't, I knew my dad too well to know t

Malia's POV Everything was snowy and cold, and the sun hid its face from the earth, just helping with its rays to provide the earth with illumination. I was running, and someone held me by the hand as we ran together. For some reason, I felt I was shorter than I actually was, but that didn't matter at that moment because our lives were in danger. That is why we're running, right? I looked up to behold the woman who was running with me, and Lo and behold, it was my mother. There was a hint of excitement in me, I felt happy that I was with her. I wanted to stop running, but I couldn't. I wanted to call out to her, to tell her how much I've missed her, but I couldn't. We just kept running, as if controlled by a supernatural force. She barged a large antique door open and led me inside, closing the he door behind her. I found the interior of the building strangely familiar - the long chairs set side by side, constituting of four in a row, the colored windows with depictions of

I couldn't tell why it felt as if I did something bad. I know I actually did something bad; my feelings for Diego will undeniably be seen as bad, but I couldn't tell why it felt as if they had found out about it because only when they find out about it will I agree to being a bad girl. As long as they don't know anything about Diego, I was damn innocent of any charges against me. " Malia, I will not ask that question a second time, where have you been?" alpha Jace asked again, his voice becoming more suppressive. For the fact that he didn't even take my nudity into consideration, it meant that he meant business, and I was well aware of it. " Alpha, I was kidnapped", I tried to sound sympathetic, to at least appear as a victim of torture, but that didn't seem to break my interrogators down. " By who?" Mr Pakistan asked, his voice cool and straightforward, suspicious even, " who kidnapped you and why would they kidnap you?" " It was the vampires. They were using me for some s

The EndMalia's POV " My child, you have to forgive him", mom said as we sat on one of the long chairs. " I can't mom, not after what . he did to you and dad", I said. " Look, life has its twists and turns, but everything happens for a reason", she said and I just couldn't help but wonder what reason there was for her to be killed by Diego. " And there's a more important reason why you should forgive him", she gave me a kind of suspicious look. " What?" " You are carrying his child inside of you", she said, shocking me to the bones. I brought my hand to my tummy, probably to properly check if there was a tiny cub inside it, " I'm pregnant?" " Yes you are, and your child will need his father", she said, my hands still on my tummy. I never imagined having children with Diego. Not that I hadn't thought about it, but there was always a reason to dismiss the thought. I was a werewolf and he was a vampire, what would our offsprings be? H

Malia's POV I couldn't tell how we got home, but eventually we did. I still couldn't put one and two together over the fact that Diego was the one who killed my parents, and I felt horrible, as if I was betraying my poor parents who were unjustly killed by him. But why didn't I recognize him? I guess my memory was so sparse that I couldn't quite put a take on his facial features, but at least I should have known, in one way or another, and the guilt weighed me down. The worst part of it all was that he knew what he did, he knew he killed my parents. I guess he found out during that conversation before in his vehicle when I had showed him the bite mark, no wonder he acted so weird after what I said and even had to drive off with his cock dangling from in-between his zipper. I knew Mrs Bran was going to spread the message to the entire members of the pack. " Did you know that Malia's vampire mate was the one that killed her parents?" that was technically how it was going to s

Malia's POV Hansel had persuaded his brother into giving into my idea of curing the alpha with vampire blood and he had reluctantly agreed to it. " My mate, Diego, he will be willing to give his blood", I said as I sat up on the floor of the dungeon. " So how is this going to work? Surely, we can't bring him hear", Mr Clinton said. " What we need is just the blood, not him. I suggest she goes back to where they met with a few others and drain a substantial amount of blood from him", Mr Pakistan said. " The same as I thought ", Hans said, " I'll send some people to accompany you". " But just to be on a safer side, hope we're not in any way going against any rule or something? Or at least we won't get into a clash with the vampires?" Mr Clinton asked, too humbly for someone whom I thought was hot tempered. " You're talking as if you don't want to get on their bad side ", Hans said, " as far as I know we are to follow only the directive of the Assembly, and that will not

Diego's POV I killed my own mother. That was it. No wonder dad never talked about her. No wonder he never answered any of my questions about her, about what she was like, who she was, how she died, none of them. He had been keeping me in the dark just so that I wouldn't feel responsible for her death. " It is not your fault Diego", he said, holding my two hands and cupping them into his. But alas it was indeed my fault. I was the little beast eating her away from within, little me was the one sucking up all the blood and nutrients in her, and I was the reason she decided to disembowel herself. Just thinking about it reminded me so much of Malia's mother laying cut open there on the white and black marble church floor, and the fact that my mother experienced such sent cold shivers down my spine. I hadn't only disemboweled Malia's mother, I had also disemboweled my mother. A feeling of uncertainty overcame me as I stared dead straight at my father, the pain of the loss of

Diego's POV I waited. There was a very good chance that I wouldn't go hungry again; at least for a long time since I had taken pure blood, and so I spent the whole day sleeping comfortably. I hadn't seen dad in a very long time and I was a little worried about him. I knew very well that he had not fully recovered from that attack even though he would never agree to that. As I stared upwards at the ceiling, unconsciously trying to decipher the color in the dark forecast, a green light appeared right in front of the door, spiralling in circles and expanding. I became scared instantly, wondering if I was in another dream or if the old woman from my dream had come to pay me a visit. I know I asked her who she was and I was curious to find out, but that never meant that I was ready to take our relationship out of Dreamland. The circle became bigger and bigger, getting brighter along its edges, just like a hole in the air. Suddenly, someone jumped out of the hole and into

  • Destined By The Moon Goddess     Chapter Seventy-nine

Diego's POV After Malia left, I slumped on the bed, feeling a little bit guilty that I had drank a good portion of her blood but still feeling thankful. I knew she was finding it hard to believe that a vampire's blood was the cure to a vampire bite, but the thesis had been proved by the medical practitioners in our pride, especially Dr Josh, and I knew that she was going to give it a try. She wouldn't just let her alpha die just like that. I couldn't tell when I became weary and slowly drifted off to sleep. " The dark is always comforting, for those who bear great secrets", the familiar voice echoed in the drowning darkness, bringing my senses back to life except for the sense of sight. The voice came again, inside my head, " the dark is always comforting, for those who bear great secrets", and with the force of a descending meteorite, something pulled me down in the darkness, into something that seemed like a pool of water. I gasped for breath but found none, and with each

Malia's POV " Wait, wait, I might have misunderstood. Is it that the blood has to be applied on the injury or that he has to drink it like he drinks water?" I asked. " He has to drink it", Diego said. Deep is calling on deep, And it has always been sure, That the one he holds beneath, Is nothing but a hard earned fool. He sounded so foolish that the poem just popped up in my mind for whatever reason. I mean, how can a vampire's blood cure a likable vampire bite? It was just like saying that mosquitoes were the cure to malaria as much as they were the cause of it, therefore we should feed on them - how stupid could that be? " We may be carnivores Diego, but we surely are not blood suckers like you folks", I said, meaning no form of harm or belittling. " Malia, it's the only way that he can get better, if not the bite area would keep expanding until he loses too much blood and ends up dying", he said, his eyes flaring up in undeniably sincerity. He was actuall

I had requested for the truth, but the truth was far too frightening for what I had imagined, and after that experience here I was, face to face with the mighty Calipsu in some unknown, magical, non-existent place. She smiled at me, her smile radiating warmth and friendliness as her hair effortlessly floated in the air, commending her . overflowing pearl imprint gown which made her seem so much like a female lead character from a Bollywood movie - almost like Priyanka Chopra. " Why do you look so surprised?" she asked, " you wanted to know the truth and here I am", she said, her voice sounding heavenly, soft and still high pitched, and it did to the ears what the soft breeze that brushes against calm lakes did to the soul. " You are here to tell me the truth?" I asked as I took a few steps towards her before picking up my manners from wherever it is that I must have kept it. " Pardon me ma, good morning, or rather good afternoon.............. I don't even know what time it i

Ariel's POV The whole place became windy, and before I could tell what was happening I was hurled into the familiar wind tunnel, tossing around so carelessly as the screens of events remained vague and not understandable. I gasped as I opened my eyes, finding myself back in my apartment, only to feel the tide of the wind rising again - not again. I was pretty sure that I was going to throw up after that ride. I got sucked up again into the wind tunnel, the screens of events reappearing. The wind was getting stronger as I felt pulled downward in the tunnel, going deeper and deeper into a black smaller tunnel, almost like the pure depiction of the black hole in space, but this time a much smaller one, but still spherical and black, frightening even. I held my breath as I approached that part of the tunnel, and when I was finally inside it, the darkness surrounded me as I kept falling into the unknown, unable to see anything, just total darkness. Suddenly I started slowing dow
