I left him to his own task and I went to handle mine before it was too late. By the time I got to the lobby, I found it the way I’d left it earlier. The only difference is that Kendrick was nowhere to be found. I ran outside, checking the parking lot and asking every nurse I met along the way, asking about him. He seems to have just vanished into thin air as if he was never here in the first place.
