"You can rest for an hour and do it later. We are not rushing you to finish this house in one go," He explains. "Just rest or not clean this floor at all. We don't force someone to do it that fast since we know ourselves that the house was too big." He added. That made me delighted. "Will you still pay my grandma whole?" I asked back.Of course, I need to make sure of her benefits first. I don't want to disappoint my grandma. It was the first time I did something big for her. Let me repeat. I want to make her proud. I don't mind cleaning the house if they pay me well. Do they know that money is a good motivator? Now they know!"Yeah, so do not worry about it. You can take a seat for a while." he answered back. After hearing him, I sat on the floor after hearing what he said. "I am so tired. There's no way one person can clean this alone. Is this house for real? How could the housekeeper clean something like this? If I was working in a place like this, I think I'll get skinny as time pass by." I muttered."Hey! Do not sit on the floor. We still have vacant couches to sit on! Were you afraid I would do what I did a while ago?" Mavin, the pervert, said worriedly after seeing me sitting on the floor. "I told you that I am not a pervert! I just got excited by your smell, okay? Are we clear? You have to remember that, and I don't do bad things to anyone unless they hurt me." Mavin said, explaining his side.I turned to him. "Why would you go and smell people you don't even know? If you did that anywhere, they would think you were a pervert," I also explained. "I smack you more than ten times, and you still don't appear hurt. That made me think that you have a bad motive toward me. You can't blame me." I added."He has not gone out ever since we moved here. That explains why he is like that. He is starting to get crazy." Steven added, almost mocking his brother."I have not gone out for ages for correction," Mavin corrected. "I told you that you smell nice. That is a compliment, a way of my compliment. Why do you have to take it badly? Don't you like hearing a compliment from someone? I don't usually tell people they smell good, so be thankful." he asked."How can I like that when I am bathing in my sweat? How can I smell good after that? I know myself." I retorted. "I can even smell myself already. So hearing a compliment that I smell good after cleaning feels like an insult." I added."You do not smell bad." Steven commented.I turned to him. "Do you guys have any problems with smelling?" I pouted. "You need to get it checked now." I told them and smelled myself a little. How can they say that when I am fully aware of myself? They just do not want me to get embarrassed. No one will smell good after cleaning. "Trust me, if you smell bad, we will definitely tell you about it," Mavin said. "We are pretty sensitive about the smell. If we tell you that you smell good, take the compliment because if we smell you bad, we will definitely make fun of you." he added.I smelled myself again. Maybe I don't really smell that bad to them. At least to them, I smell good. "Then, can I change my shirt for a while?" I asked them. They both nodded, so I headed to the storage room. "Hey! That is not the way to the comfort room!" I heard someone yell."It's okay! I can change in a second as long as there is a room." I yelled back.I changed my shirt inside the storage room. I made sure to wipe myself with a clean towel to remove the bad smell a little. I brought my bag as well when I came back to the sala. Living here is so lonely just by looking at these two brothers."Are you guys living here alone?" I asked them and received a nod back. "Why are you living in such a big house when the two of you are the only people here?" I asked again. "My grandma told me that only you are living here. Your house is far from the neighbors too. How will you ask for help if you need a hand from other people? It would be best to choose a place where you have neighbors. And your house is too big. Too big for the two of you, and you don't even know how to clean the house." I added. This is too much for just two people. They can live in a one-story house rather than this."So, how did you know about my brother?" Mavin asked back, changing the topic.Maybe they do not want to share it for now. We just met today, and it is not appropriate. "We're classmates," I explained. "You should have told your brother a while ago." I told Steven."I don't want to." he answered.I looked back to Mavin. He was shrugging his shoulders off. I guess Steven is also not talkative with his family. I thought he did not like us. That is why he talks like that to us at school, but it seems he is like this to everyone. But that's much better than being ignored because he doesn't like us at all."We live here because our parents said so," Mavin answered my question afterward. "They were the ones who chose this place, and Steven liked the house because he said it's away from many people. You know how much he doesn't want to interact with other people." he added. It looks like he is just interested in why I know his brother. "Then, you should not have accepted my grandma's housekeeper application here. Cleaning your three-story house will make her sick. I went here in place of her because she is sick." I explained."Your Grandma is kind." Steven replied."Yeah, she makes good food every time she is here. That is the reason why we accepted her. We both can't cook, you know." Mavin added."What?!" I answered with my eyes widened. "How are you guys eating every day?" I asked and looked at them from head to toe to see if they were skinny or what."We usually order our food online." Steven replied."You should have hired a person who could cook for the both of you. You can hire two or more people who can take care of the house and your food." I reasoned out."We are not allowed to do that," Steven replied. "The condition we had from our parents was to live alone and do things ourselves, aside from cleaning." he added."And as you can see, this little brother of mine is afraid of people. He hates interacting with others and is uncomfortable with other people." Mavin shared. "As his best older brother, I will do what he is comfortable. I don't want him to cry." He added, teasing his brother, making Steven glare at him."So, have you eaten something today?" I asked again.
They both shake their heads. "We only had pizza for our breakfast. We plan to order at the fine restaurant, but we don't know how. Steven does not want to go outside and ask or buy anything for us." Mavin complained about his brother.
How can they live in that kind of setting?
"Do you have anything in your kitchen?" I asked. They both nodded. "Can I go and look in your kitchen for a while?" I asked again and received a nod.
I stood up and headed towards their kitchen, with them following me from behind, opening their big refrigerator full of foods that they could cook.
"You have many things to cook here. Why aren't you trying?" I asked. "You should try to open YuuTube and watch how to cook. You will die because of hunger. You will get sick."
"Trust me, we tried but failed," Mavin replied. "Steven is knowledgeable and only knowledgeable." he added.
"Will you eat anything I cook?" I asked. They both nodded with full determination. "You sure guys are hungry? I will cook something you can eat. Return to the living room." I told them.
"Does Grandma Felicia's granddaughter cook well too?" Mavin asked me. "I will pay you thrice if it is good!" he added.
"Just go back to the living room. You will know if it is good or not if it is done already." I said, pushing them away from the kitchen.
I thought my only work here was to clean their house. Why am I cooking their food now?
Steven "So, she is the one you are talking about?" Mavin asked my older brother. I nodded quietly. "I think she really does not have any idea about us," He said. "How gullible she is." he added, even managing to nitpick someone. Humming to his arrogance, "But with your sudden craziness, you can make her mind change. You are acting as if you are a hungry wolf who wants to devour her," I scolded him. "I will tell Mom you are acting like a wild pig here. So that means she won't let you go out more. Good luck." I added. "She just smells great. How can I stop myself from smelling her?" he answered back. "Can I compliment her? And it is a compliment. Why take it in a bad way?" he complained. Yes, we are werewolves—millennial ones. We can live as ordinary people do. We can go outside, act like one of them, and do what we need or want to do. They do not know that they are living with different creatures. We are all living with other creatures. They just do not know about it yet. No one k
Sunny "That's good," Shiela said. "How about the assignment? Are you done with yours?" I looked at Steven's chair and saw him reading a book again—such a bookworm. "Honestly, I finished mine in just a few minutes." I told her as I put my things on my chair. "A few minutes?" Shiela asked with her shocked reaction. "I do not think you have finished yours in just a few minutes. I finished mine for an hour or two." she added. Well, without his help, I do not think I will be able to finish my assignments in just an hour or two. I signaled to Shiela to get closer so I could be able to whisper what I wanted to share. "Yesterday, Grandma was sick. So, I decided to do her work." I started to share the tea. "So, what is the connection between your few minutes' assignments and your grandmother's work?" she asked with her sarcastic tone. "My grandmother is working as a housekeeper. The house she was cleaning twice a week was Steven's house." I shared. Shiela's eyes turned to a big one. She
Sunny "I want to buy this chair, and it looks so comfortable!" "Why do we need to buy it when we already have chairs in our house? We do not need it." Steven retorted. Mavin frowned. "I am going to put it in my room, okay?" he replied. Steven shook his head. "No, we won't buy it. You are just wasting money." he said. "Hey! It is my money in the first place, right?" Mavin snarled. "Wait!" I interrupted. "Can you guys please calm down for a second," I added and looked at them one by one. "Calm down. Inhale. Exhale. Calm down. Why are you guys fighting over chairs?" I asked them. Yes, it is Thursday, and I am with the Rendezcah Brothers because they want to buy new things for their house. Actually, I was supposed to clean with my grandmother, but they asked if I could come to buy things since they do not know many things. They claim that they are boys and that they do not know anything about these kinds of things. That is why I ended up coming with them and leaving Grandma at thei
Sunny "Where is Shiela?" I asked our seatmate. I could not see her in our room. Where did she go? "Someone called her from the other section," she answered. "I did not see who called her, but she went out after that." she added. It is one of her friends. My friend is a social butterfly. She knows a lot of people inside this school. She is also a part of the cheerleading squad that represents our school to other schools. If you ask her about someone, she can quickly tell you what their course or department is. But I need someone to accompany me. I need her help today. That is why I am finding her. "Aah!" I complained when I bumped into someone. "Sorry—Steven!" I exclaimed. Maybe he can come with me. He can, right? "What?" he asked grumpily. "Are you okay?" I asked. He is pale. "Do you want me to send you to the clinic?" I asked him. He looks pale. He looks like he will collapse any minute now. "I am fine," he answered. "What were you asking? You have something to say, right?" h
Sunny He was still sleeping when our next professor came, so our professor called for him. "Ah, Ma'am. Bapin, I heard Steven is not feeling well." Marco commented after Ma'am. Bapin called for Steven. "Marco, send him to the clinic if. He should have gone to the clinic right away." Ma'am. Bapin answered. Marco went to Steven and tried to wake him up. Fortunately, he did not say anything and just let Marco help him. Marco did even look at me and signed a thumbs up. I am happy that he is helping me in some way. I do not want to cause more rumors about us. If Steven heard about it, he might get awkward or something. After that, our class continued. "Steven is sick?" Shiela asked while we were fixing our things after class. Shiela was not able to attend the class after the break because of her practice. Their instructor called her. She said they needed to finish their stunt as soon as possible. That is why they practiced and asked for permission from our professors. I nodded my head
Steven "How is your school, Steven?" "Have you gained friends?" "How about your future partner?" "Mom, it is too early for that," I answered one of their never-ending questions. "I went there to study, not to find my future mate." I added. "It is not a university for finding your mate, Mom. I just want to remind you." I reminded my mom. "But, Mom, do not worry too much. He made pretty new friends. They smelled nice too." Mavin commented, spilling the things he should not have to in the first place. What a nosy brother. We are currently in our parents' house. Since it was the weekend, we decided to visit our parents, or else we would get visited by our parents in our home. It is better to see them rather than have them visit us. "Really? How is your health?" Dad asked after sipping his morning coffee. "I am doing well. With the scratches that Beta made, I think he never intended to kill me in one shot. The poison is not that lethal. We need to be sure about human safety at night
Sunny "I want to die. Right now, right here!" I yelled. "Are you sure about that?" Shiela asked me right after. I shake my head. "No! I will just die now, right here. Then, wake up after this subject ends! This is so tiring. This is not Physical Education anymore. Just physical, no education anymore!" I replied. It is our Physical Education, and here we are, not tackling our lesson and making us run for about half an hour now. I do not know anymore if this is part of our lesson or if it is just our professor making fun of us. It's been a month since we started doing this the hard way. "Just faint, and I will do the rest," Shiela suggested. "Or should we tell him that you are having difficulty breathing because of asthma? You know, the typical reason if the subject is P.E." She added expertly. "We both know I cannot act," I answered back. We would be dead meat if our professor caught us lying in 4K, right? "Why don't you just do it? You can do it." I told her with my full support
Sunny "Seriously? He really did that?" he asked, still not believing what I shared with him. Nodding my head furiously, and said, "I am not lying. Steven really did that. He stood up for our section as well as the other sections that were also victims of Mr. Prile." I added. "He does not care about the others, so why now?" Mavin asked. "He is not the type who will stand up for someone, especially when he is not close to them. Why?" He turned to me and asked. I stopped wiping the table. "Why are you even asking me? You are his brother. You must know him better than I do. And if he stood up for us, maybe it was because he could not stand the torture we have been experiencing. If you were in our situation, would you do what he did?" I asked him back. "Of course! The second time I experience that, I will make sure to rebel. Who is he to make me suffer like that? I will make him pay for what he did to me." He replied. "See? Even if you are not that type of person who would not stand u
Sunny "Sunny, how's your class today?" Shiela asked when we met in the corridor. "Have you finished your class?" She added. I nodded. "I just finished my class today. How were your students?" I asked her back. Her smiley face turned into a sour one. "I am dying with Mrs. Fuentabilla's students. They were all noisy and naughty. They would not let me teach my lesson without getting into trouble!" She shared her experience. "If I were not trained well, my arms would fly to hit them all, but I stopped myself from doing so. I still want to be a licensed teacher soon." We are now doing on-the-job training. We will graduate soon, and we are teaching high school students at our university. "This is just training. Soon we will have our students. We must face them daily, so this is a wonderful opportunity. We will learn and be able to take some tips that we can use in the future." I told him as I patted her hands. "You are right. This won't stop me from being a teacher soon." She replied.
Sunny"But where are you guys living now if you are not staying here anymore?" I suddenly asked. "I thought you went back to the place where you live. I do not know the way there or how I will get there." I added."Would you mind telling me the address to your house?" I asked him again. He laughed and tapped my head. "There is no need to ask for the address." He replied.I pouted. "Why? You can tell me, so if this happens again, I will know where to go and what to do. " I defended myself."As I said, you do not have to know our address. If everything is good already, I will bring you to our house next time. We can't go there for now because of what's happening here." He replied."You know what? I am stressed these days. After what happened that day, I could not shake the memory of your face. You were confused and scared at the same time. A lot of things came into my mind. I was so scared. My mind went blank for a few minutes. I have been thinking about the what ifs." He shared, looking
Sunny "I will go now. You better go home with your friend, okay?" I told Shiela. "And where are you going alone?" She asked back, stopping me from walking. It's been two weeks since that day happened. I smiled at her and said, "I guess it's time for me to talk to him and run to his arms." I replied. Shiela let go of me with a shocked face. She was covering her mouth out of shock. "I am okay now. I think I can go and talk to him about us." I added. A while ago, Shiela would not let me go. But now, she is the one who is pushing me out of our room. "Good luck, girl! You can do this! Oh my gosh! I am so happy for you!" Shiela said excitedly. It's time to get him back. "Good luck, Sunny!" Marco yelled. "Get his ass back! Tell him we miss him already!" He added. "Tell him we need his brain here, and we will have our finals this semester. He needs to catch up!" Our president also commented. I was not able to hear them all because they were talking together. It's been weeks since he sta
Sunny"Sunny, let's have our dinner. Go outside now." I heard my sister calling out for me. I slowly got up from my bed and went out of my room. "Goodness! Look at you. You look like a zombie," she added when she saw me. "Let's go."Fei guided me, and we went together to the kitchen. We had our dinner quietly. Very unusual. It's the first time we've had a dinner like this. No one dared to say anything nor dared to strike up any conversation. We have been like this for days, and I know I am the reason. That day.I woke up, and I was already in my room. I do not know, but my tears fell like a river that does not know how to stop. It's like I could not stop them even if I wanted to. They did not question me at all. They let me cry and cry until I fell asleep. At first, Fei asked me worriedly if Steven had hurt me since I was crying nonstop, but I could tell them that he did not."Eat, Sunny." Grandma reminded. "Do you want me to feed you?" she asked.I shook my head and smiled. "No need,
Steven"Steven... how... what... was happening?""Sunny!""Mavin! Steven!" I heard my dad call us. "We have sieged the enemies already." Dad added."Prile is around, Dad. Have you seen or caught him too?" Mavin asked.Dad shook his head. "He left his troops. He was nowhere to be found within the perimeter," he answered and looked at Sunny, who was unconscious. "How is she? Is she hurt?" He asked."No, Dad. We managed to guard her better." I replied."Good. I will let the others check the house first. Are you okay? Does she know about our secret now?" Dad asked calmly.I nodded slowly. "Yes, Dad. She saw me." I replied."What are your plans now?""I want to send her home first. After that, I want to stay away from her. I do not think she is safe with me, and I am scared she does not want to be with me anymore." I answered."You will be fine. Do not worry. Let's send her home for now. Let's do what you want," Dad said, tapping my shoulders. "Mavin, get your car ready. Let's send Sunny ho
Sunny "It has been said that it is not made by normal people. Many people are saying that a monster or a psychopath could do it. Our authorities are conducting their investigation into this crime happening in our country." "Oh! That's Mavin and Uncle." I said when I saw Mavin and his father behind the talking reporter on television. They were talking to the police and a few men wearing black shirts. "I guess their work is really that dangerous. They are in charge of this case. I hope they are always safe." Grandma commented. "It was also the first time I saw them working. Usually, they just hold their laptop or tablet when I am at their house. I did not know that it was that serious." I shared. "Mavin does not share much about his line of work. He said when he is at home, he does not want to talk about it and wants to have a normal day, so I do not ask about it." I added. As I always say, Mavin and his father are always smiling and know how to follow what is trending today. Seeing
Steven"Do not worry about me. I will send you a photo if we have finished our practice already. My friend will send me off, I swear." Shiela told Sunny, trying to reassure her about her safety.Shiela shot a glance at me. Her face was telling me to help her. "We can just talk to her friend and ask them a favor. If you are that worried." I told Sunny.Shiela sighed. "I did not mean this kind of help, Steven. Argh, you two are making me frustrated," she replied. "I know I should be happy because you are worried about me, but it feels like you guys are my parents." She added."We just want to make sure that you will be safe." Sunny replied.Shiela nodded, defeated. "Okay, okay. Come with me to the gymnasium." She said.We quietly followed her to the gymnasium. We can hear loud noises from the outside. Shiela opened the door and left it open for us to enter. Her teammates turned to us and quickly waved their hands at the sight of Shiela."Efren, come here!" Shiela yelled and called for th
Sunny "Mavin!" They greeted each other excitedly and ran towards Mavin. Mavin was surprised at first. I even saw him blink thrice. He was trying to confirm if they were really real. Well, I was staring at them stupidly a while ago too. They are too pretty and handsome for me. I feel like I have been starstruck by seeing them up close. If they were my idols and I saw them face to face, I would faint instantly! "How are you guys? It's good to see you!" Mavin greeted them back. I headed to the kitchen and quickly told Grandma what was happening in the living room. "Grandma, they have a visitor today. Do you think we need to cook another dish for the visitors?" I told her. Grandma looked confused, "Visitor? Why did they not tell me about it? I should have cooked more." Grandma said. "I do not think they know about that either. Steven and Mavin were surprised by their sudden visit here. Don't worry. I will prepare what they can eat. You can just cook more rice for them. I will do the
Sunny "Are you really sure that you are fine now?" Steven asked for the nth time. "You do not feel dizzy at all or not?" He asked again. I just want to avoid him. He has been asking me these since a while ago. "Sunny, answer me. I am asking you here." He added. I stopped sweeping the floor and turned to him. Our eyes locked the moment I faced him, and he was not budging. I sighed. "Steven." I called out to him. "Yes? Would you like to answer my questions now?" He answered and fired a question right after. I pointed at my head and slid it down. "As you can see, I am walking fine and am able to do everything now. I would not be here if I were still not okay." I told him. "I also told you that I was fine before we started cleaning, and here you are asking me repeatedly." I added. "So you are complaining about it?" He asked back, or rather, I would say he sassed back. "I am worried. Can't I be one?" He asked this time. "You can be worried, Steven. There is no one stopping you, but
