The doctor offered her a glass of water to drink, which she accepted after letting go of him slowly. Jessica felt bad and was about to apologize to the doctor. It seemed like he sensed it and quickly said, "You would be discharged tomorrow."
Without talking any further, he walked out of the room. She was all alone and was scared; thankfully the lights were turned on. However, she left her eyes open, taking notice of every noise she heard, until she unknowingly fell asleep again. Jessica jerk awake on hearing some far distance noise, she looked around, observing that it was daybreak. For a second she felt relief; there would be nothing to be scared of for now. Just as she had expected the door sprang open, revealing one of the nurses who attended to her yesterday.Beside her was a stern looking face Jessica had never seen. He was average heightened and had curly brown hairs, which appeared to also be on his chin.
"You can't just barge in, who are you?" The nurse, who now stood behind him questioned.Suddenly, some security men came also trooped in, they stood behind, waiting for instructions. They had received a call about a young man barging into the hospital, heading to one of the rooms, without checking in or anything. Jessica looked confusedly at them, her mouth unconsciously left opened as she stared."Am I in trouble?" She demanded from the man who had been staring at her.She feigned to be fearless and looked into his eyes. But when the man lifted his right hand, putting it into his coat, she screamed and begged for her life. Her mind had flashed back to the time she saw Mr. Harrison bringing out his gun to shoot her saviour. She thought the stranger was about to do same.
Instead of a gun, he brought out a white envelope and threw it on the bed. She took a glance at the envelope and looked up to inquire about the content in the envelope, when he huskily said " From my boss, he said you should use it wisely." He left the room immediately, accompanied by the security men. The nurse apologized to her, before leaving the room quietly. Jessica stared at the envelope without touching it, she pondered on what the content might be.
What if it was something that could actually kill her or do more harm than good to her.
After minutes of thinking and staring, she took the envelope, opening it gently just in case there was something dangerous inside. To her greatest dismay, the envelope was loaded with a large bundle of money. She nearly threw it on the floor as her eyes had never seen such huge amount of money. " Who are this people?"Yesterday, she was saved from going to prison, now they have also given her some money. She was quite excited about the money, but was worried. With the money, she could get an accommodation and also fend for herself while she searched for jobs. In as much as she needed the money badly, what if the people helping her were only doing it for something in return or because there was something they needed from her.Jessica was discharged from the hospital later that afternoon, but she left in the evening, when was feeling much better. Although, her shoulder still hurts a little and she could barely use her left hand for anything. Since her clothes was in a mess, an elderly nurse offered her a black jean trousers, along with a white baggy shirt and black coat. It was already getting dark when she darted out of the hospital. She stood along the walk way for some seconds, inhaling deeply with her eyes closed. It felt so nice to finally take in fresh air and enjoy the natural scent of the environment. "Move away!" She came back to her senses, after being shouted out for the obstruction she was causing. Jessica walked as fast as her leg could carry her, before someone recognizes her. She stood at the bus station about to board a bus to no where in particular; all she needed was to leave this area. She needed to start a new life in a new location. After standing for hours and still didn't get a bus, the next option was to board a train. As, she walked toward the train station, she observed that a few people still recognized her and made it obvious. She had to put her face down, while heading to the subway.Something was off while she walked through the underground subway, there were a few passerby, but it seemed like she was being watched. She gazed around but everyone seemed to be minding their business. "Maybe, I am imagining things" She slides her hands into the coat immediately, holding the money firmly. She was already close by and could see the train station from where she stood, when a hand grabbed her coat and pulled her back wards, until she found herself on the floor. On looking up, about four faces gazed at her with smug expressions.
She had to urge to beg for her life, but she found herself not talking. She was stiff and could only stare at them, like they had inject something into her body that rendered her this useless. They lifted her up and carried her to a white car waiting at the entrance of the subway. "We found this on her" Jessica saw one of them bring out the bundle of money she was given. Her life depended on that money; she wanted to shout and struggle to get the money back, but the more she tried, she only kept on causing herself pain and found it hard to breath. "You can keep that, just put her into the car. I need five more girls before weekend" "All right sir, that wouldn't be difficult"Just when Jessica thought it was a new beginning for her, she ended up in the hands of human traffickers. For a few hours Jessica was conscious; her eyes were open, she could feel and see everything happening, but wasn't able to talk nor move. It was felt like her cerebral hemispheres was frozen or had stopped functioning. After a very long drive, the car finally came to a halt by the side of a scary deserted road. Immediately, the men hurriedly got out of the car. They grabbed her hands and legs roughly pulling her out of the vehicle. Her eyes scrutinized around the environment thoroughly, she observed that they appeared to be in an entrance of a thick forest as they were surrounded by tall trees. Fear gripped her as they went further into the woods, heading towards what seemed like a small empty apartment. She moaned softly while trying to talk; her shoulder now hurt badly and it was unbearable, but all the men did was laugh and mimicked her. Jessica saw blood dripping down from her shoulder while they walked, her injury hasn't healed completely. She wished someone could tell this
"Help me please!" Jessica shouted.Without thinking or bothering to know his identity, she ran off to George and stood behind him. Her hands were wrapped around his chest and unknown to her, she was breathing heavily in his ears which caused a wolfish smile to slowly appear on his face.Because of the way he had barged in, she concluded that he was going to free her from this monster who was about to rape her."I'm sorry boss, pardon me" Nate went down on his kneels immediately and the others followed suit. Jessica watched, wondering why they trembled before this George, she was confused. She looked at the girl and saw them hurriedly putting on their clothes.Slowly, her hands unwrapped him as she moved forward, but still stood beside him. Before she could take one more look at George, he took out a gun from his back pocket and pointed it on Nate's forehead. The girls shrieked in fear and ran back into the dark room, leaving Jessica behind. In as much as she was mad at Nate for try
While she was still trying to dress up, Nate and his men grabbed her hands and threw her into the dark room. Luckily she was able to pick up her torn shirt and brassiere before being carried out of the living room. The moment she got inside the dark room, she heard the other girls murmuring among themselves and wondered if they were talking about her. "Hi guys, I'm Jessica. Sorry for whatever happened out there" Jessica said, while trying to put on her torn shirt. She paused for a while, wondering why she was actually apologizing to them like it was her fault. However, neither of the girls replied; she had to mind her business till they were ready to speak, while she figured out her escape plan. She was about dozing off when George last words before leaving, suddenly flashed in her head and she quickly asked "Who is Italian here?" Jessica rose up for a few minutes, waiting for a response but nobody did. Since nobody responded, she laid back on the floor, closing her two eyes ti
Jessica was confused, did this strange face just say "you again?" While she was being brought out of the vehicle, she kept on staring at the guy who talked, trying to recall where and when she had seen him, but her head was completely blank about his identity. Instantly, she concluded that she haven't met him, maybe he has, but where? If only her mouth wasn't stacked with cloth, she would definitely ask him. For the first time, she looked around the environment, observing the beautiful flowers, the cars parked and the security guards standing in every corner looking all fierce. For the building, which appeared to be a two story building, she could tell that it wasn't an apartment. It seemed to be more like an office place. She was going to find out in a few seconds, but Instead of taking her into the building she was seeing, they diverted and passed a narrow corner until they finally stopped in front a giant iron door. Jessica was curious to know what was behind the huge door s
"Sorry to disturb you sir, what I want to say isn't important. I will just come back." Joe managed to say and quickly shut the door without waiting for Jayden's instruction. The moment he shut the door, he thought he heard his boss say something, but out of fear,he didn't bother to open the door and just left. If only Jayden allowed him to speak, he would have told him about the girl they saved a few days ago.Back at the cell, the atmosphere was oppressive and suffocating, devoid of freshness and vitality, which gave Jessica a feeling of repulse and she couldn't wait to be out.It was late in the night and she couldn't sleep as mosquitoes wouldn't stop singing in her ears and also sucking her blood. The concrete beneath her, felt like a stab of an ice which made her shiver continuously. The others however seemed to be sleeping comfortably; they were used to it. Except the snoring of people, sounds of bird chipping, she couldn't hear anything else. After a while, she saw a flash of
Jessica didn't know when the man finished, as she was in another words, envisioning how she was going to work as a stripper for the rest of her life. She is definitely not going to survive. The girls, who were to be killed began to weep bitterly begging for their life to be spared. Their pleading however fell on the deaf ears of the hefty guards who dragged them out like animals. Others, who have been assigned to be maids, followed an elderly woman in her late fifties into the building facing them.Although, that wasn't were they would be working; they still had a long way to go. Inside there, the elderly woman, Mrs. Dave would pair them into three, as there are different houses which they would be working in.While Lilian was leaving, she tried getting Jessica's attention, but the poor thing was still in shock, standing motionlessly with her mouth agape. Jessica was completely lost in her thoughts and unaware of her surroundings. Sadly, Lilian had to leave without a goodbye to her f
"Jayden stop!" Ivy ordered in anger refusing to listen to his wife and she kept on yelling at him as he hurried down the stairs."Don't push me Ivy, we can talk about this when I get back." He tried as much as he could not to increase the tone of his voice or get angry.Ivy was bothered about the fact that, for some time her husband, Jayden, has been refusing to have sex with her, failing to perform his marital duties. The pressure on her to bear Jayden a child was frustrating. Her dad had strictly instructed her to do everything possible in order to get pregnant this year. She had been married to him for over two years and he badly have sex with her and even when he does, he was either drunk or would request that they use protection."You promised me Jayden, you said this morning or have you forgotten?" Ivy shouted."Can you just get back inside and stop embarrassing yourself ugh? I am in a hurry right now." Jayden stopped at the entrance of the door, with his hands placed on the
Jayden turned his head around to look at the person speaking. He could see the fake wide smile relaxing on her face as she approached him.Nothing about her had changed; her height, face, body size, hair colour, everything was still the same. "I can see you are back, why did you leave France?" He asked Eva, who only responded with a smile as she glued her eyes on his face, giving Jayden a weird feeling. He looked around properly to make sure this wasn't a trap to catch him. He also wanted to be sure that no one was around them, asides his driver who was in the car. When he was eventually convinced, he turned to face her again."I can see you don't still trust people or it is just me?" Eva asked him fidgeting with the tip of her cloth."How do I trust some who accused me of killing my step-mom?" "Your step mom? When she was alive, you never considered her your mother, now you call her your step mom?" Eva said laughing profusely like he just cracked a joke, but Jayden did nothing oth
