IMEELA

Lucinda, who was mated to Sebastian, had the gift of astral projection. She spent an hour going over the do’s and don’ts of doing it.

Do: control your emotions because losing control of them could have disastrous effects because it could weaken your connection and cause you to have trouble rejoining your body. When one projects, their spirit goes from your body, through the astral plane, and to wherever destination was needed. You could think of it like overwhelmed emotions weighed the body down too much for it to easily go back through the astral plane.

Do: remember that some people, primarily gifted ones, could still see or sense the astral form. Thankfully, Jackson’s cloak would fix that issue.

Don’t: pass through bodies because it could potentially disrupt the connection between spirit and body.

It all seemed fairly straightforward. Jackson was still worried about what this would do to me, but he understood that we needed to do it.

Lucinda, Sebastian, Brynn, and Theo were al

It was a good thing that she followed the feeling that it was imperative that she went to the coven.

JACKSON The days had quickly passed by and were filled with not much besides training, Imeela helping Ziyah prepare the items that would be used by our side, and me helping Theo get our pack situated for when we had to leave. We would be leaving our parents in charge. They would be watching Kalen, Mira, and Sadi as well. Well, Mira would be wolf-sitting. She was ecstatic about that. We honestly did not know how long it would be from the battle to us taking on the coven, so we needed to talk to Sebastian and Lucinda about the Beta position. Theo, Brynn, me, and Imeela were in my office since it had plenty of comfortable seating. We were just waiting for them to join us. There was a knock on the door, and I went to open it, gesturing for them to come in. They looked surprised to see all of us and were clearly trying to figure out why I had asked them to swing by the office. I was nervous because I was not certain what their answer would be, but I honestly felt that they would be perf

JACKSON “Hello, pet. It’s been a while. How nice of you to finally show yourself instead of hiding like a coward,” Toris told Ziyah. His eyes raked over her body from head to toe and even licked his lips at her. Could you say creepy as fuck? He was in for a rude fucking awakening because she could easily destroy him, and we would all laugh as his presence faded from this world. Although, death was too kind of a punishment for him after everything that he had done to her personally and had done to her by others. “I was never hiding like a coward. I was ensuring that your ventures got cockblocked. How irritating was it for you to know that you lost Blantay, the gifted wolves, the Slater pack, and me? It was so fucking amusing to watch through the mirror shard that my lovely sister had in her room as your daddy berated you for losing me. Oh, and also when he just promised to kill you himself if you fucked this up. I was never hiding, just biding my time.” The furious look on his face

BRYNNA body went flying through the air in front of me. It was clear by the resounding bang and stilled body that it had been a death throw. Theo winked at me before he got ahold of the next target. There was something sexy about a man who could toss any foe as if it was nothing but a rag doll but then was incredibly gentle with his daughters. He cried the very first time that he ever held Kalen. Theo and Zen were both amazing fathers to Mira and Kalen. They were also incredible mates to me and Moira.‘Ready to unleash hell?’ Moira asked excitedly.‘Let’s do it. Wolfie’s choice.’She chuckled and mentally shook out her fur. I saw it beginning to glow white. This was one of her favorite Vessel abilities – releasing a bright flash of light. However, the heat from it was similar to being near the sun if that was what we wanted.I locked onto our target, an ugly ass Darkie, and hurled the light towards it. The body exploded on impact. Unfortunately, it was one ability that had to be used

  • Design of Fate   Chapter 48

IMEELA Brynn shared with us that the Goddess Selene spoke to her during the battle and informed her that not this full moon, but the one following it would be when we would go to the coven. I was split between how I felt about that. On the one hand it felt like it was too soon because there was so much to plan out. On the other hand, it felt like it was too far away because each moment added to the potential danger that our people were going through. However, all that we could do now was plan and prepare so that we could protect them when the time came. That was why we were on our way to my uncle’s coven – the Czarcu coven. Our group included Jackson, me, Brynn, Theo, Mira, Kalen, Sebastian, and Lucinda. Lindsey, who was mated to Diego (at least I believe it was him) would be our portal master to get there. Jackson would be able to get us all back. Mira was very excited because my uncle had promised her that his daughter would give her a tour of the medical facility. That was all

  • Design of Fate   Chapter 49

JACKSON Immense relief flowed down the bond from both of us when they accepted the offer to help us with the coven. We had not been certain what to expect for this meeting’s outcome, so we were pleasantly surprised when all twenty accepted the offer to relocate to the coven and help us rebuild it. They would bring their families over once it was safe. So, as of now, our new coven would include fifty-five members before we sorted through what remained of the original coven. There was no telling how many there would be once everything was said and done. One thing that Zeus and I prayed for was that the survivors would not hold a grudge against Imeela for having been outside of the coven all these years and had not returned until the time when we did. It was not like she had partying it up, but some people were experts in the blame game. This would not be an easy transition. We had to start over from scratch. It would take time to establish everything. Valis had mentioned that the p

IMEELAThere was a large planning session scheduled this morning at Shadow Falls to iron out details regarding the coven infiltration since our time was running out. Each passing day brought a little bit more stress because there were a lot of lives counting on our success. My uncle and our selected Cabinet members would also be accompanying us today. Luckily, the boundary already included his blood, so each of his official coven members would be able to pass through it.Thank god for portals because they made our lives so much easier. While Jackson could easily cast multiple people, the limit thus far was nine. However, his ability would expand the longer he used it. It was just like conditioning a muscle. Once we got to the pack, Brynn took Kalen and Mira to drop them off at daycare.“If it isn’t three of my favorite people,” Dante said, smirking. He was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest. This man was a great guy. I did not know him as well as they did, b

JACKSON Hellhounds. Imeela and I were both paired with a Hellhound. I did not care why Hades had decided to do that, but I was thankful, nonetheless, because it meant that we would both be more protected while she reclaimed her throne. It was not me that I was worried about. I knew that my mate was far more capable than I at protecting oneself, but I would always worry about her and pray for her safety. ‘As long as they aren’t cockblocking guardians then we won’t have an issue,’ Zeus stated. ‘Perhaps we need to lay down ground rules about Imeela screaming our names or crying out. That way they won’t take a bite out of your ass.’ I glanced down at Roman and grimaced, trying to not imagine how painful that bite would be. Ground rules sounded like a good idea. Theo was grumbling through the link about how I always got the cool shit. I just flashed him a smirk. Siblings were naturally competitive with one another. We were not immune to it simply because we were ranked wolves. We were b

  • Design of Fate   Chapter 52

IMEELA It was interesting to watch Sadi playing with Roman and Venus. It helped that all three were energetic. It was like the best game of tag ever played because they would disappear and reappear, giving Sadi quite the challenge. Did you want to know something even more interesting than that? We had gone to the twins’ first birthday party, and Brynn had three specific warriors come along. They turned out to find their mates there, specifically three Nabellos. The six new mates talked it out, and the Nabellos decided to move here. We made sure to have an informative meeting with the pack just like Nightshade and Shadow Falls had done. Dark Moon was very welcoming to the newest arrivals and made them feel right at home. Jackson and I had been working alongside our Cabinet to come up with the best course of action when it came to dealing with the aftermath of the battle. Our first order of business as leaders would be punishing the culpable. Not everyone who ‘worked’ for Andrei was

  • Design of Fate   Author's Note

To all of my amazing readers, I am happy to tell you that “Destined Alpha of Change” is now officially up on the app and ready to begin being read. Now, onto other important matters. First and foremost, I would like to thank you for how much support you have given me throughout these books. I love reading all of your comments, whether they were negative or positive, and use them to help shape the story as it evolves. Jackson and Imeela’s story was one story that I could not begin to write. I know that not everyone was thrilled during Theo’s story when Jackson took Brynn’s side after the rejection. However, it just showed the type of man that he was. The one who would help protect those who needed it, just like he did with Brynn. One thing that many of you had mentioned was that you enjoyed the species integration seen throughout this book and the Fated series. We will see the byproduct of that during the Legacies of Destiny series. Kalen’s story will be the first one, followed by

SNEAK PEEK – “DESTINED ALPHA OF CHANGE”– KALENLater on in life, I would look back and wonder how I survived what I willingly threw myself into.Visions led me down this path. They were warnings of what was to come. A single person was going to be the spark that ignited the fire that would destroy everything that I held dear. It would lead to countless graves. The peace that our world experienced would be wiped away, leaving nothing but pain and chaos in its wake. The only way to prevent this was for me to identify the supernatural that was aiding him. My visions only showed me this one path to potential success. Yes, I said potential. If I succeeded, then it would save everyone and everything. However, it could very well be my demise. The plan unfolded where I would create my own trap to catch his attention. It worked like a charm, and that was how I ended up in this make-shift dungeon cell. He really spent too much time watching B-rated horror films.I lost track of how long I had

EMILIOMy mind was a complete mess right now. I had a sleeping Princess cradled in my arms as I ran, searching for somewhere that was safe enough to rest.‘It is your duty to keep her safe. Run and do not look back. There will come a day when she returns here to avenge us, but it will be when she is older. We have every faith in you when it comes to protecting one of the most important gifts that we have ever been given and will never be able to express just how much we appreciate it. We have always loved you like a son, so let me give you one last piece of advice. Do not harbor guilt for leaving instead of fighting alongside the coven because you are protecting the future of our kind. That is the most important mission that has ever existed.’Those were his parting words. As much as he said not to harbor guilt… it was easier said than done. Instead of focusing on that, I focused on the fact that it was my duty as her personal bodyguard to always do what was necessary to protect her.J

  • Design of Fate   Bonus Chapter - Enter Lola

LOLAI had been different my entire life. Not being able to hear anything made life hard. That was why Mom taught me ASL and how to read lips. It did not always help, but it did help sometimes. Mom and Dad were my only sources of consistency, but even that did not last.We were always moving around. They never told me why, but I had the feeling that it was because of me. Dad was a special kind of vampire, and Mom was an Elemental dragon. I might be young, but I understood what that meant for me.Sadly, we could not outrun every danger. Vampires caught up with us. Mom and Dad fought them off with everything they had. They took down many of the vampires. Then something hit my head, and I blacked out. I came to and saw my parent’s dead bodies next to me.My heart broke because I was all alone now. They would never be able to tell me another bedtime story. I would never ride on Mom’s dragon form again. There would never be another opportunity to tell them that I loved them.Lost in my sadn

  • Design of Fate   Epilogue 2

JACKSON At the same conference as Epilogue 1 – I could not be any prouder of Lola as I watched her get everything prepared for her presentation. She worked her ass off to get to where she was at right now in life. Nothing held her back, and nothing slowed her down. It had been hard for her at first because she desired to be independent, but not everyone could communicate with her and vice versa. My amazing mate was the one who could break through her barriers and encourage her to get right back up. I had never seen Lola happier than when Ziyah had given her the hearing aids that she created for her years back. Lola was born deaf, so she never had the opportunity to hear people speak to her or around her. She never had the ability to listen to the sounds of nature. While she could not do anything for the second part, Ziyah had been able to fix it to where the words were picked up by the devices and then sent as a mindlink. A lot of attention to detail was found in how they worked.

  • Design of Fate   Epilogue 1

IMEELASix years later –I checked my appearance one last time just to make certain that I looked presentable for the supernatural conference that we were attending. The pencil dress came to my knees. The top was white with a notched neck and three-quarters sleeves. The bottom was black with strips of black and white crisscrossing the waist. My hair was pulled into a low side bun with my newly designed diadem.Honestly, I hated wearing the crown in public, which this conference was, but our normal diadems were not official enough, according to our Cabinet, so we designed new ones that were more official looking. They were more pronounced with the Precoza crest designed within it.I opted for a natural look with my makeup, so it just highlighted my features. Luckily, my mates did not care if I wore makeup or not because it was not something that I cared about either.“You look beautiful, Mom,” Zion said from behind me.I turned around and smiled at my handsome son. He was as tall and bu

  • Design of Fate   Chapter 94

IMEELAZiyah had called me earlier and said that she had something special for Lola that should help the most with her deafness.Lola was a blessing in disguise when we first met her. She had been through so much in her short life, but it proved that she was strong and resilient enough to soldier on and keep going. Her biggest hurdle in life was learning to navigate being deaf in a supernatural world. There were many shows and movies out there that show how easy it was to overcome that hurdle and still live a completely normal life. That might be how it worked for humans, but it was extremely dangerous for supernaturals. Our world was a chaotic one where we always had to look out for the dangers hiding in the shadows, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike.Lola was so fucking strong that it made us incredibly proud of her. She had learned how to read lips with damn near perfect accuracy. She was also learning how to defend herself against any attack. Zion took it upon himself t

  • Design of Fate   Chapter 93

JACKSONThree years later –I chuckled as I watched Amira and Cyrus playing tag with Zion outside.Imeela rested her back against my chest. It was a very comfortable Spring with the sun shining down on us.Amira was a pro at this game already because of her gift. She could use her shield to essentially cloak her just like I could via casting. This, however, also hid her scent, breathing, and heartbeat. Thankfully, Ziyah was able to put a block on it so that we would always be able to find her even if she was cloaked.Emery was practicing her dance routine off to the side where she would not be in the way. The girl was really fucking talented. I had never liked ballet before, but I watched every routine she had and got swept away in the emotions that it evoked each and every time.Zion fell to his knees and gripped his head, crying out.We were next to him in an instant. Zion had a high pain tolerance. He broke his arm last year and did not scream or anything. He whimpered, but that was

  • Design of Fate   Chapter 92

JACKSONI was currently sparring with Santiago. He was a great opponent because his training and heritage really made him really fucking lethal when he wanted to be. Thankfully, he liked me enough to allow my continued breathing. It only took training with vampires for about four months before I could keep up with them entirely speed wise. Strength was a different matter because there was a biological difference between our species. However, sealing the bond with my girl gave me additional strength. I might not have been able to deck a vampire quite as hard as another one could, but it did not matter. I just had to be more strategic on when and where to hit. However, the blessing of strength that Hecate had given to me at the coronation and also the boost from being crowned King put me as close as possible to being at the level of vampires. My fist connected in an uppercut, causing Santiago to fly up and backwards with his ass landing on the ground. He just laid there, panting heavily.
