Celestia stared at the bright scroll of love in front of her. It was so bright that she needed to tied it down with the golden lasso so that it won’t steal too much attention. Especially from her ever so curious daughter.
“It just keeps on getting more and more brighter.” She uttered to herself as she reached out and touch the lasso to open the scroll. She closed her eyes for a bit and let the light from the scroll engulfed her.
She sighed when it suddenly deemed out. She opened the scroll once again and saw the blessed boy’s face. Every second he stared at him, her gaze turns darker.
“You’re really something…” she whispered as she caressed the surface of the scroll where Morgan’s face was etched.
Morgan’s prominent features were drawn on the scrolls in the most detailed way possible. Every strand of his long hair, the fascinating thickness of his brows, his tantalizing eyes, and that kind-looki
When they arrived the enchantress was already waiting for them outside her fortress. She discreetly guided the family inside her fortress and even paid extra to the charioteer. "I already told you about this Calliope. It was the moon goddess. We can't do anything about it." Enchantress Inessa said as she shook her head while staring at the passed-out Morgan on the bed. Morgan's parents asked her the favor to look into their son's case. And aside from that, they wanted to keep his situation from him a secret for a while. They didn't want to worry their son, they can only imagine how difficult the situation is for him. So the enchantress had asked her apprentice to prepare a drink with sleeping pills on it. And in just a few moments, Morgan's knocked out. "At least take another look at him. Please... I'm not asking as an alpha of a pack, enchantress. I'm here as a father. Please... I'm begging you.
Morgan was silently carrying a bunch of flowers that would be used as an offering later for the thanksgiving event. It’s been weeks since they came back from the head enchantress’ fortress with low spirits and the pack was slowly grasping the reality his parents were trying to hide.Their pack’s golden boy had lost his spark. He would never be able to fulfill the fate he was originally prophesied. He gracefully placed the flowers below the altar they made, careful not to make any sound that can gather other people's unwanted attention. He had been like this ever since they came back. He was careful not to get into anyone's way afraid that it might cause his family more problems.“Morgan,” he turned around and immediately bowed down a bit when he saw his father's beta.Dmitri sighed heavily as he looked around to make sure that no one can hear them.“Can we talk?” Morgan realized that the beta was abo
Morgan realized that their little exchange had completely stolen the people’s attention and now, all eyes were on them. The singers had stopped singing, the graceful dancers had stopped moving and even the elders and children that were preoccupied earlier were now watching their little scene.Condemn.Morgan felt everyone staring at him with condemnation. He was standing in the middle of the crowd that once loved and adored him. But now, all of their eyes were filled with fear, condemn and disappointment."He actually met the moon goddess. He's done for." He heard someone say.He closed his eyes tightly as he tried to tune out all the words of condemnation around him.It was at that moment that he heard that familiar soft voice.‘What are you doing now, Morgan?’ he looked around and checked if she was around but he couldn't see her. There are more than a hundred people around but she wasn't there."Amira?" H
“Morgan,” his head snapped back to the dark woods behind him and he saw his mother and the head enchantress walking towards him with a confused look on their faces as they scanned the place.“Who are you talking to?” Calliope asked and was about to take another step towards her son when the enchantress hastily pulled her back. She looked back at her questioningly only to turn her head back to her son when she realized the enchantress’ watchful eyes directed at him.Her eyes widened when she saw Morgan’s eyes glowing.“Morgan,” Inessa called out as she stares at the young man with her watchful eyes.“Let’s talk some other time, Amira. I needed to do something,” Morgan said as his eyes flew over to the sky.‘Oh. Alright. Is everything alright?’ Amira asked worriedly. Morgan turned to the women a few distance away from where he was seated before nodding.
“Amira?” The young goddess’ ears perked up after hearing Morgan calling her. She immediately turned away from the pavilion and ran towards the direction heading to the Pond of Living. Morgan is the only secret she has kept from her mother. She was afraid that once she learned that she was able to communicate with someone from the living realm, she would forbid her from doing it too. She doesn’t have any friends and she had no one else to talk to aside from Morgan. She didn’t know what she would do if ever she would lose her only friend. She carefully looked around before she sat by the pond where she can hear endless chants and voices of enchantresses addressing the concerns of their people. Amira stared at the rippling waters that showed the reflection of the glowing fireflies above it. “Amira?” “I’m here.” She answered while she’s staring at the water in front of her, trying to figure out how the Goddess of Goodwill uses th
“Morgan's face contorted as his face flinched away from his mother's hands. She was currently tending to his wounds.Since his wolf had left him, Morgan also lost the ability to heal quickly. Much to his dismay. He couldn't hide the injuries he got and can only lie to his family when asked where he got those.“Can you at least watch where you're going next time? Your wounds don't heal fast anymore, Morgan. Who knows if this would leave you with a scar?” Calliope scolded as she carefully nabs a cotton swab on the corners of Morgan's eyebrow.“Sorry, Ma. I’ll be more careful next time,” he said with a consoling smile. Calliope just shook her head and continued to take care of his wounds.“How were the hunters treating you?” she asked as she started to keep the things she had used.Morgan froze for a while, not knowing how to answer his mother’s question. In the end, he had forced himself to smile
Morgan wiped the sweat on his forehead with the back of his hands before he resumed pushing the wheelbarrow filled with soil that would be used in planting. The bright sun glaring over him, he pushed through his way back to the packhouse. He can feel his body burning as he shook his head, struggling to get rid of the blurry vision he’s currently seeing. It was drought season and the Crescent Walkers are having a hard time coping up with the scarcity of water. The soil nearby their territory was also starting to deteriorate, affecting their crops and other plants they use for the pack’s survival. They had learned about the abundant healthy soil from Nighthill and wanted to ask for cooperation with the wolves living in that part of Serigala. But Nighthill wasn’t an ideal place for just anyone. Among the three territories of Serigala, Nighthill’s the most dangerous above them all. The place was filled with rouges and vicious wolves who were always ready to tear apart an
The sun was about to rise when Morgan realized that he’s being watched. He looked up at the orange sky while subtly checking out his surroundings. He may not be able to turn but he’s a trained soldier. His whole body suddenly tenses up as his senses became more and more wary of his observers. Observers. There are lots of them. Probably the wolves from Nighthill that had finally caught up with him. He continued walking, pretending like he wasn’t able to sense anything around him but his eyes were all over the place. He’s defenseless, hydrated, starving, and almost on the verge of collapsing. These wolves can easily tear him apart within a second. He’s weak and all he could do was think. He needed to outsmart these beasts in order to survive. Morgan sighed heavily, giving up on thinking of any ways he can outrun the predators around him. He stopped walking and sat on the ground while resting his back on the wheelbarrow’s handle before closing his eyes.
“I can’t help her in this state, Morgan. I’ll go blind just looking at her.” “It’s only you who can go near her. We already vacated the packhouse. The injured ones were already attended to.” “Comfort her, Morgan. She never wanted this to happen. This is not her fault.” It was a disaster. She is that disaster. Amira hugged her knees closer to her chest as tears rolled down her face. She can feel the stars hovering over her glowing body as if calming her down. She can still hear the people outside the room talking
Amira looked up at the sky and stared at it with worry. Something is definitely going on. No matter how mad her mother could be, she would never reject such a message she sent her. That was her last straw and now that there was still no response from anyone in Bulan… she was sure. There is something wrong. She refuses to acknowledge all the negative thoughts plaguing her mind but that’s all she could think about right now. She felt so restless thinking that something happened to her mother. Goddess Celestia is not the best mother but she’s not that bad either. She took care of her, raised her well, and never abandoned her. She even pushed her down into this
“A penny for your thoughts?” Morgan’s soft and loving tone accompanied his warm arms that embraced Amira’s small body from behind. She was silently looking out the window, thinking about her current situation and wondering about her mother’s and companion’s situation up there in Bulan. She felt Morgan place a tender kiss on her shoulders before his arms around her tightened. “Is something bothering you?” he asked earning a sigh from the moon goddess. “I… I am worried about my mother,” she confessed. She immediately felt a quick stir in Morgan’s emotion before it completely vanish as he inhales her scent. &l
“We’re really sorry for all the trouble, moon goddess,” one of the councils apologized after their long conversation about the current state of Wolfpoint because of her presence. “It’s nothing. I’m grateful that you work hard in order to protect me and our people,” Amira answered gracefully. Her arms tangled across Morgan’s who was standing beside her, talking to another council. “It is our honor to serve the moon goddess—“ “Luna. She’s currently the luna of Crescent Walkers now,” Morgan corrected, earning an affectionate smile from his mate who even rested her head on his shoulder. The councilors conceded with Morgan’s overwhelming alpha aura and nodded apologetically. “Our apologies.”
Amira woke up feeling Morgan’s butterfly kisses on her face. She snuggled closer to his chest to feel his warmth. Her body felt sore all over but she actually feels good. Her body felt lighter than ever and the smile on her lips can’t help but appear as she felt her mate’s loving touches. She fell asleep naked last night but she woke up wearing the very same dress she had stripped off in front of Morgan. He probably dressed her up to make her comfortable. “Is it morning already?” she asked while her face was buried on his bare chest. “Uhuh…” he answered in a sweet voice. “You seem to be in a good mood,” she pointed out before looking up to meet his gaze.
Amira felt the cold breeze of the afternoon air. Although the sun remains hidden behind the bright full moon, the afternoon breeze is still evident in the air. Especially as she felt Morgan jumping from one tree to another with an unimaginable speed. “Are you alright? Am I going too fast—“ “I can’t wait to feel you,” Amira whispered by Morgan’s neck to cut him off. It was actually uncomfortable being carried while running and jumping at the speed of light but she knew her mate better. Once she mentioned her discomfort about the situation, he would stop everything and his prior intentions would be buried deep down in his mind again.
“I’ve heard rumors about the golden boy of Grimbell was mated with the moon goddess but I didn’t think it was true!”“I thought that golden boy had been eradicated already?”“No! He’s actually turned out to be an ultima wolf! My sister’s a member of the pack so I received news about their new alpha’s identity!”The whole transport area was filled with gossip about Amira and Morgan. Inessa sighed heavily listening to those endless chattering while waiting for her apprentice to finish speaking to the coachman of the carriage that they would be using on their way to Grimbell. The apprentice was right. Almost everyone’s heading to Grimbell to visit the pack of Crescent Walkers. Everyone’s looking forward to being blessed by the new luna of the pack who turned out to be a moon goddess herself.“Enchantress,” the apprentice bowed down curt
The brothers’ scene caused an uproar in the pack. As people whispered nasty things and judgmental thoughts about the two, Morgan remained still on the ground, embracing his brother’s huge wolf in his arms. Just like how he carried him back when they were both children.“It’s alright, Callum… it’s alright,” Morgan keeps on whispering on the beast’s perky ears as his younger brother whimpers.“I am sorry… I was… I don’t know what I was thinking… Oliver… He told me things—““Shhh… it’s alright. You don’t have to apologize for something like this,” Morgan said. “You can be the alpha. That is if you really want to be one, Callum. I know you would be a great leader but I don’t want you to force yourself to take up the responsibility that should have been mine in the first place.”“We’re brothers,
“Do they really have to do this? Romero?” Calliope asked her husband while crying. It breaks her heart to watch both of her sons standing in the middle of the battle stage to fight for the title of being the alpha.Never in her life did she ever expect that this could have happened. Callum and Morgan shared a strong bond ever since they were young. How it ends up right here, is something she never saw coming.Amira was silently seated beside Calliope and Monica, Callum’s mate. They watched as the brothers entered the stage. Amira can feel Morgan’s mixed feelings of guilt, worry, and love. He loved his brother. And this is the reason why he had pursued the title. He told him that Callum never liked the title. He just grew up thinking that he should have it since he trained for it, he had to take over Morgan’s responsibilities and burdens when he failed to turn and he was left with no choice but to force himself to think that he enjoys it.
