She's more communicative and understanding. Not that she never was, she just became even more so. She now understands Hector's need to hide such things from her, and actually openly chooses to search his point of view in things, and shares how she feels about his choices unlike how she would've.

I think amnesia did her well. The old Kaia would've probably let her fury and betrayal get the beat of her and avoided the choice to hear his side of truth and just run from it once again. But due to her amnesia, it allowed their relationship to grow, and her as a person.
