Just The Two Of Us

Hayden and Bryan watched Ashley sleeping soundly on the bed, after she passed out she got admitted into a ward.

Hayden kept checking if she is still breathing after every five minutes, she has been unconscious for more than an hour and he was starting to get worried.

“She is fine Hayden, she is just sleeping.” Bryan said as Hayden checked if she is still breathing again.

“I know.” He muttered and sighed.

“What about the child's body?” Hayden asked and Bryan sighed.

“She is in the morgue, she will be buried tomorrow.” Bryan replied and he nodded.

“You could have saved her, why didn't you do anything?” Hayden asked.

“I didn't do anything because she deserves peace, she deserves to rest. If I save her, her life will become abnormal and she is still seven years old, I felt like I will take her life away from her.”

“You knew she was going to die?” He asked and he nodded.

“Although, I was thirty percent sure she might survive but I guess she isn't meant to live.” Bryan replied and Hayden
