Scaling Mt. Xavier

The castle in the north.

Despite the name, it is located in the westernmost part of the Land of Whitepalace.

It is the first area through which enemies from the West must pass if they are to infiltrate the empire.

Isla lay on her magnificent bed, hidden from view by a curtain no one could see through.

She liked it so much that she had it built in every castle she owned. She was never one to enjoy sitting. She spent the majority of her time in her laboratory experimenting with her poisons, so sitting after all that work never felt so good.

That's when she made the decision to get a bed rather than a throne.

"Lori, do you think I was too aggressive when I invited my nephew to the Northern Castle?"

Isla considered it, but she was too prompt to make a decision. Lori was her advisor/butler, so his advice was valuable. Lori wouldn't feel guilty if he said it wasn't a hasty decision.

But…

"Indeed, Duchess. This is a very hasty decision."

Isla was taken aback, she expected Lori to think about
