The "Association," generally known as the adventurer's association, was a group that was impartial to any empire. They cannot, however, be described as a harmonious and uniform group.

The reason for this is that the association is made up of various factions, each with its own set of goals and desires. Since its formation, their only agreement has been to make their organization preeminent.

Despite the fact that they have amalgamated to the point where they are at the same level as any empire, their strengths are not concentrated, and they just share common interests and values.

Their approach and ultimate aims differed.
