The adversary was perplexed as to why the number of archers atop the walls never appeared to lessen.

They were currently at a standstill, with the Count's men using the shields for cover and my men using the walls for cover.

At least, that's what the adversary believed.

The Count's archers posed a significant threat to My archers now that they had reduced the distance between themselves and the defensive walls.

While the archers atop the walls were busy suppressing the enemy's archers, the troops pushing the battering did their best to move it quickly towards the door. They were only a few steps away from their destination when they heard a loud command.

"Invoke."

The enemy's visage blackened and heaved as they hoped they had misheard.

But the intense heat rising above them indicated differently.

[Fireball]

The low-level spell struck a group of foes, who immediately panicked and cried, "The enemy has a mage!"
