I cross my arms as I sit on the sofa in front of the TV on the first floor. Lily was sitting next to me, brushing her teeth.“Come on, go to the bathroom and do it.”“But I wanna sit with kiwi.” She says almost inaudibly as foaming toothpaste froth drips down the corner of her mouth. I roll my eyes and pick her up, taking her to her room. I wait until she finishes brushing her teeth and put her in the bath while I pick out her clothes from the hundreds of choices in her closet. I don’t know when he found the time to do this but our closets were completely racked from top to bottom with various styles of clothes. Where did he even find this?I had to admit, the choices weren’t bad at all. Especially since he had thought to put in every possible style- from goth to cute girly clothes. I smack my face. He’s making it too hard to leave! I am so in love with this closet, I want to be buried in it when I die. Forget the graveyard. Forget cremation. Just put me in here and my soul shall rest
I wait for a few rings and then she suddenly picks up.“Enkeli?”“Hey.. sorry about the other night. I left you there I was-”“Oh my god. I am so glad you’re okay! I was worried. One minute you’re grinding up on some guy and the next you just disappeared.”I bite my lip. Oh if you knew. If you knew then you wouldn’t be worried for me. You’d be worried about yourself.“Yeah. We had a little fun and then he dropped me at my place. That was really irresponsible and selfish, I know. I’m sorry.”“Dropped you home? Yeah right. Just say you hooked up with him.” She snickered.Oh boy. Hooked up with him? I hooked him up with a soul reaper. I gulped and then tried to make some noises that sounded like I was agreeing with her whilst trying not to agree with her. It turns out that having shit happen to you makes you a really good liar. I hope I don’t end up as a sociopath.“Well.. you know.. haha.”“I completely get it but at least pick up your phone next time something like this happens.”I no
It was like the whole place was a mixture of red brown black and white. There was nothing colorful. Even the sky had a reddish hue to it. The clouds were combined red and white. I was on a bridge, if I could even call it that. It was made of brownish red rubble and rocks and was thinly laid out for a few hundred metres. I looked behind me, not being able to see an end of it. Meanwhile in front of me, I could spot a castle at a distance. It was huge and spiky. Tower spikes emerged from each pillar that the castle was made of. I could spot the windows in the form of black slits in the individual towers. Even the entrance was just a huge opening along the height of the castle in the centre. I don't think there was even a door. I looked on either side of the bridge, it was a huge fall from here and the bottom was filled with hot molten lava. On the path towards the castle on either sides of the bridge, it wasn't just emptiness, it was filled with scaly rocky mountain like landscapes whi
At first he kissed me passionately and deeply, his arm was around my waist lifting me up and I followed his lead by straddling his waist. He put his hand under my shirt and caressed my lower back causing me to suck in my breath. Slowly, his kissing got more agressive, he pushed me against the wall and shoved his tongue down my mouth. He turned around quickly, throwing me on the bed. I expected him to immediately cover my body with his and lavish me with his tongue but instead he continued to stand there. "This isn't right" He says, breathing heavily. He looked like he was debating something with himself, trying to settle on one choice but was unable to. It was difficult. "What? I didn't pause because I was hesitating-" I tried to explain but he shook his head lightly."Perhaps you've mistaken the kind of person I am. I'm in no way gentle, love" He said as he looked down on me lustfully. So what? He likes rough sex? Is that it? "Try me" I tempted him. "You will regret it." He ass
I groaned as I felt light shine through the blinds in my room. It was too early for this, I have to sleep more or else I could probably murder someone today. On second thought those seem like a poor choice of words. I snuggle more into my pillow, shifting my body. That was when I felt it. I groan again. Everything hurts. Absolutely everything. I am not a lazy person but I'm afraid I am also not a person who regularly works out and goes to the gym. Guys in high school are usually obsessed with going to the gym and building muscle but the only thing I ever had a problem with was bloating from eating too much which would go away if I ate healthy and in a moderate amount the rest of the day. I might be suffering the consequences of not being an active person who works out regularly. I have cramps in places I did not even know it was possible to have them!I wait for the throbbing to die down and then sigh. I can't even walk to the bathroom at this point. "Can't tell if it was bad
My hand was on the doorknob. I was going to open the door just to hear what was going on out there. If Lily was awake or not."Stay right there" He growled. "Oh haha yep. I'm right here" I lifted my hand from the door knob.Slightly frowning, I looked over him obsessing over the situation with his thoughts. I might need to compromise a little here since he looks pretty freaked out."Out of curiosity though, how did he even know I was an angel?" "It's something all high power beings can do. Most angels can detect when certain amounts of magic has been used. Even though they may not know the location, they can communicate with them through their powers and find out. Not many demons can do this. Only the ones at the highest power level"So this means Lucifer detected my powers somehow and found me because of them? He doesn't know where I am yet but he could definitely find out. Why does he even want to? Why does he care about finding a random angel. Doesn't he already have enough staff
Next ChapterWell it isn’t like I had many options. I could only ask Agares so I waited until he came back from dropping Lily at the school.I had a knot in my stomach that wouldn’t go away. I was anxious and nervous and I didn’t know why. Whatever the reason, I just knew it was not something good. This wasn’t mere concern or worry. I had a bad feeling. Despite there being a high chance of me being psychotic, I will try to keep a look out just in case this feeling is right.I shrug. Sometimes we randomly feel weird for no particular reason.“It’s because I’ve been cooped up inside. I’m not used to it.” I mutter under my breath. It seems like a good idea to go for a walk outside. It’s early morning so the weather is quite nice and breezy. I rush to my room and grab a sketchpad, charcoal pencil and an eraser and put it into a small sling bag. I walk down the stairs trying not to make any noise, slowly. My ears and eyes- all of my senses were on the lookout for an anticipated interruptio
“The longer he stays away from where he belongs, the more stress it puts on the portal balance.”That doesn’t sound good at all.“Isn’t there any way to bring him back?”He shook his head. “Portals don’t open easily. Whoever did it must be incredibly powerful. More than me.”There was a cool breeze flowing through the air, causing me to shiver slightly. The leaves of the trees swayed.“The oxygen here is delicious.” I comment. The air was seriously so fresh, devoid of any toxic substances or smoke. He furrowed his eyebrows in disbelief. “I am giving you a very important lesson here.”“Okay okay, I get it. Don’t go out. Big bad devil go rawr.” The truth is, if he is going to find me then he will no matter what. I am not the type to cower away for the rest of my life. I can’t stay cooped up and not go out at all. It sounds suffocating and I don’t like it.I roll my eyes and get out of the water since it was getting cold now. I still had a lot of questions but I didn’t want to ask them y
This chapter is not part of the story so you don’t have to buy it. It is just information on demons from a book I enjoyed very much. Encylopedia of Demons and Demonology by Rosemary Ellen Guiley.Dealing with evil has occupied center stage in human affairs since our earliest times. Destruction, chaos, decay, and the ultimate darkness of death have often overshadowed the presence of goodness and light. Human beings have dealt with evil in three principal ways: by meeting it head on in battle, by warding it off before it strikes, and by trying to avoid it altogether through denial. The how and why of evil have been debated and discussed for centuries in religion, folklore, philosophy, art, literature, and pop culture, all of which attempt to explain why bad things happen, especially to good people. When evil strikes the wicked, we see it as the deserved consequence of evildoing. When evil strikes the righteous, we look for satisfactory explanations, often in vain. Everyone feels the tou
Grief in The Mind Grief is a natural occurrence that everybody goes through in their life. It can cause depression to some, but to others it is a way of coping with the loss of something incredibly meaningful. Grief can also occur from the death of a loved one, a change in your career, or the ending of a long relationship or a friendship. Grief can be any type of feelings people go through such as, being angry, being upset, having constant worries, relief, possible fear, or any other possible type of numbness. It also can be thoughts of despair and discomfort. Increasing your social life is one of many ways to quickly help the person get over the grief that they are experiencing.Although grief is experienced every day, most people do not have an understanding of what grief actually is. Grief is a deep sorrow, especially caused by someone 's death (Pbs). Death can be an overwhelming, painful, and frightening experience. Grief is classified as a strong, sometimes overwhelming emotion.
“The answer is no.” He laughed. “I don’t just like you, what I feel is much more than that. I don’t know what love is but if I had a choice, I’d live all my life with you and then some more. I would be willing to stay with you for as long as the earth existed. If you think that’s love, then so be it. I think the three of us made a pretty great family, don’t you? I really liked it when John, that waiter, thought you were my wife and munchkin was my kid.” He smiled was fulfilling, like he had no regrets in life.“Why are you saying this?” I pout, my eyes brimming with tears. “I.. I feel the same. You saved me.” My voice was too unstable to continue saying all the things I wanted to say to him.“I know how you feel even if you don’t say it.”I shake my head aggressively. I did not like the tone of his voice and I did not like where this conversation was going. He suddenly wants to confess his feelings? He wouldn’t do that at an inappropriate time like this, not unless he thought he woul
“You misjudged my character. I was never meant to be a demon.” He speaks. Lucifer raised an eyebrow. “Pretending to be a good boy in front of your girl? Let’s not forget the things you happily did for me. Slaughter, murder, torturing innocent children, I could go on and on.” I furrow my eyebrows. Torturing innocent children? He was just saying that to get on his or my nerves I bet, there is no way it can be true. “Say what you want. Let’s deal with this outside.” “Hmmm? How boring. I wanted your lover to watch as I killed you and then I’d take her after. Oh and her powers too.” He grinned. Shedim clenched his fists. “He’s just trying to get on your nerves.” I whisper. “Trust me, I know. That’s his personality in a nutshell.” He spit. “Ouch. Though I’d take it as a compliment in a heartbeat. Now, you.” He looked at Agares with a piercing gaze. “Give it to me.” Agares seemed to be in a daze still and responded to Lucifer’s words like a pet following his master whenever he was
“I’ll go deal with Asmodeus and you should stay here and make sure nothing happens to them. No matter what happens ,you can’t let Enkeli use her powers.” Shedim warned.Something was wrong with Agares. He was standing there blankly as if nothing around him made sense.“Stop me.” He grunted as he leaped forward towards Lev and attacked him. In an instant, Shedim pulled him away but Agares’s attack was so aggressive that he created a hole in Lev’s abdomen that was gaping and gushing with blood. He did this just with his hand?I reflexively scream and kneel down to him.“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?” I scream at Agares who still seemed to be dazed.“Fuck. He’s received a direct order from the master of the ring to kill any humans in front of him. I can’t hear the command but that must be it.”Shedim takes off his shirt and hands it to me, which I use to press against Lev’s wounds. He coughed painfully and gurgled up some blood that started flowing down the sides of his mouth right onto t
Note by author – You may skip this chapter if you’d like. Most of it is mainly information on some higher demons and the apocalypse. All the information I found was from the book Encyclopedia of Demons and Demonology by Rosemary Ellen Guiley. The lights flickered, on and off continuously until the bulbs fused and turned off permanently. The weather was getting more chilly, the wind started blowing faster and I shiver as it reaches me through the windows. I take a few steps forward, feeling my way around until I reach the kitchen. I was blinded for a few minutes but slowly, the moonlight had started giving me vision and I could see more clearly. The black spots covering my vision slowly faded.I got a few candles and a lighter. Lighting them, I placed them on the dining and coffee table.“Was that the sign?” I whisper. Did that mean the apocalypse had started?Shedim and Agares had found that out before anything noticeable even happened. They knew immediately that something was wrong.
When I woke up I was happy because of yesterday’s events. It felt like a real family. At least I got to know what that was like before hearing what I was about to hear. We were having breakfast at the table, all four of us. The swelling on Agares’s face had completely died down and in fact, he did not even have the black eye anymore. He looked as good as new. The healing powers of supernatural beings really was incredible, it meant I wouldn’t have to worry about them at least. The whole time, Shedim remained completely silent. No snarky remark or suggestive comment, not even one of those annoying smirks of his. Agares looked back and forth between us and raised his eyebrow, wondering if something was wrong.I shrugged my shoulders. I was just as confused as he was. Lily, on the other hand, was oblivious. Since it was Sunday, all she wanted to do was her homework from school then sleep some more. After eating her breakfast she yawned and headed to her room.He seemed to be done with hi
Next Chapter“Do you really think we should be idling around like this.” Enkeli wondered out loud.“There isn’t a better time.” His lips twitched to give a miniscule smile. She reluctantly agreed and changed her clothes into a dress. She checked up on Lily to see that she was completely ready and ended up in Enkeli’s closet to go through her jewelry box. Enkeli laughed and found her a small necklace (that was essentially a choker necklace for her but would fit more loosely for Lily.) It just so happened to be that both of them wore blue dresses.“How did you know I was going to wear blue?” Enkeli teased. “Aren’t you copying me?”Lily nodded. “You like blue.”She felt her heart melt. Lily really was the cutest kid Enkeli had ever seen. Seeing other people’s children being so annoying and demanding put her off at some point and she thought having children must be extremely difficult and miserable for parents but now she could understand why people choose to have them.It was still diffi
Back then there was a bit of an economical crisis. Shedim’s family sold trinkets for a living, just enough to feed their family of 10. Excluding himself and his parents, he had his grandma and 6 siblings. At a certain point, the trinkets had failed to sell during the period of economical depression and the ‘savings’ weren’t nearly enough to keep their family afloat. The first one to go was his grandma, since she had decided she had lived long enough and wanted her children and grandchildren to continue living and make the next generation better. The next was his father, who made sure his mom and siblings had enough food in their bellies. Then, of course, his mom would die too, followed by older siblings and at last, the resilient younger siblings remained. Shedim did his best to take care of her younger sister. He stole and threatened as much as he could. When he was caught and placed in jail, he asked only one favour of the police officer who looked kind enough to take pity on him. A
