With a frown, the policewoman sighed and was about to release Blake from the cuffs when she noticed he was already standing and heading out of the door.

Blake was walking with his hands in his pockets when he turned to Jill, making her stop.

“There is a man named John Steel; have it arranged for his release,” Blake said casually.

“You can do that yourself,” Jill said, looking at Blake. She was upset that he hadn’t contacted her since the shooting at his home. “Why didn’t you present your badge and prevent all of this from happening?”

Blake was startled and took out the badge that the Organization had given him. “You mean this?”

“With this badge, unless you decide to kill the President of the United States, you have amnesty,” Jill stated as if it was common knowledge. She had been trained these past days and knew everything concerning Blake and the Organization.

“Okay, now I know. Let’s get a friend out of trouble, shall we.” Blake stated and headed to the Chief of police’s office
