chapter 6

She stepped out of the bath tub and wrapped herself with a towel and went into her room.

She stood before the huge mirror and undid her hair, letting it fall down and down until it fell down her shoulder blades.

She was a beautiful young woman.

She looked to her left and examined her full lips in the mirror.

She took out her lip gloss and put on a little color.

She took out a brush and started to brush her long flowing hair, letting it fall down.

She was lost in her own thoughts, looking at her black, strapless dress on the vanity.

She tugged at the towel wrapped around her chest and pulled it lower.

Her naked breasts were still very firm, and her nipples were a deep, dark pink.

She let the towel fall completely off, revealing her curvy naked body.

She ran her hands through her wet hair and looked back at her reflection in the mirror.

She was beautiful and she knew it.

She was sure she would get any man that she wanted, if she wanted them.

She let her eyes wander to the top of her mirror. Pinned on it was the picture of Mateo Cruz, the man she wanted.

"The life of someone as powerful as you is too far out of my reach, but there is a shorter route through your heart. The very moment you take my hand, I'll drag you into the same flames that burned me. You will feel every ounce of pain I did, every tear I shed, until you feel completely numb. And when that's done, you'll regret the single most important day of your life.

You will look back at me, with tears running down your face, and beg me for forgiveness. And I'll laugh as you run away. For I will never forgive you. "

She applied make up on her face to make her beautiful eyes stand out.

She sat on her bed, staring at herself in the mirror.

She put on a white, strapless bra with lace trim and a matching thong.

She wore something that was attractive yet decent and sexy.

There was a knock on the door. "Li-lah. It's me, Samantha. ¿Puedo entrar?"

"The door is open, Adelante."

"Going out?" She asked when she saw she was dressed up

"Yes. I have to take care of something."

"Okay."

She came over and sat on the bed next to her. "¿cómo estás?" Samantha asked.

"I'm great. And you?"

"I'm perfect, Li-lah." Samantha smiled. "We've not been able to talk in a while. What's the update. You've meet them, what do you think?"

An evil grin spread across her face as memories of that night came back to her.

*FLASHBACK*

Someone sent a package. I have to go get it." She said to Natalia and Julia. They nodded .

As she walked towards the door, she made sure to brush her shoulder against Mateo's seductively, touching her fingers to his sending shock waves through his body.

He didn't want to but he couldn't help it, he followed her with his eyes. She stopped and turned back to him and they made eye contact. She winked at him. Then continued to the door.

She intentionally let her ring slip from her finger to the floor; it was an intentional act but to Mateo it was an accident.

She opened the door and walked out. He called out her name but she paid no attention to him. She just smiled to herself and made her way towards the parking lot.

She retrieved the package and went to keep it in her dressing room. She knew he was following her, so she did not lock the door after.

Through the mirror, she could see that he was by the door, peeping. She had him where she wanted him.

She slowly began to remove her panties from underneath her dress, exposing her sex to him. He watched with lust and confusion as she ran a finger across her lips.

She climbed onto her bed, positioning herself in a way where his face would be the only thing that came into sight.

She began to touch herself gently and moan at the feel of her slick wallsShe closed her eyes to enjoy the feel of her own skin. She moaned lightly. She wanted him to feel the pleasure she had sent through her body.

She slowly spread her legs and sat up a little more. Mateo could see more of her now, and this made him even harder, and his eyes roamed from her small, firm breast to her exposed sex.

He could feel his member begin to harden and begin to throb. His mouth watered for a taste of her, to bathe it with his saliva.

She slowly began to rub her fingers over her lips. His eyes ran over her perfect body, the ridges on her back, her long legs and her beautiful, round ass.

His penis became harder as he watched her hand rub over her soft, inner lips and slide down. He had never seen anything more beautiful.

The anticipation built in him like a roaring fire, but he didn't have the courage to step forward and taste her.

"Just wait, Mateo. I won't be much longer." She said to herself but just loud enough for him to hear, in a tone that was as seductive as he imagined she was.

Mateo's body froze as he heard her say his name in such a vulnerable tone. He didn't want to look at her anymore. He reminded himself that he was married and that he shouldn't be here looking at another woman but his whole body and mind was screaming for him to move closer.

She continued to rub herself in a rhythmic, self-aware manner, pausing between her strokes to arch her back a little, until she was dripping wet.

She brought her fingers back up and stroked herself faster. His eyes glued to her hand. He felt like a moth that had been trapped by a cocoon.

Her eyes were closed, the corners of her lips were slightly curled up into a half smile and she looked so sexually alive.

Mateo wondered if she knew that he was watching. She could feel her orgasm building. She moaned slightly as she rubbed her soft, inner flesh over her clitoris. Her hand began to shake as she anticipated her pleasure.

She began to moan and push her hips back. Her eyes shut tight, as she reached her orgasm. She began to tremble and convulse slightly as her body continued to ride the wave of her pleasure.

She opened her eyes and this time she looked directly at him. Her eyes met his and he was entranced by her. Her body was still quivering, but now she was calm and the pure, unadulterated joy and adoration on her face made his heart ache.

He quickly moved away from her watch and made his way back to the party while trying hard to push what he just witnessed to the back of his mind. His body still shook from the encounter.

Few minutes later, she came out and made her way back to the hall. She saw that Lia was together with Alma and they were talking to Maria. She made her way to the table.

When Li-lah got to the table, she introduced herself.

"I loved your performance." Maria said half-hearted.

"Gracias."

Maria was distracted by the principal for awhile and Li-lah took that chance to look at Mateo. their eyes locked but he quickly looked away.

He looked back again and he saw Li-lah was still looking at him with an innocent smile. Mateo looked down and saw that she had her hand on the edge of his glass. He could feel her fingertips brush his, making his heart race.he couldn't help but be distracted by the feeling of her fingertips. He didn't say anything but he reached out for the glass, taking it from her hand and finishing his drink.

He tried to stop himself from looking at her again but it was like a demon had taken possession of his body and wouldn't let him move.

Every time he looked at her, his heart would jump, and his cock would throb with need. This woman was messing up his head.

Too fucking beautiful.

His fingers tapped on the table, and he groaned.

Why did she have to look at him like she wanted him as much as he wanted her?

Didn't she realize she was driving him insane?

No other woman had ever caused his body to react the way this one was.

Was she one of his one in a million?

He shook his head and dropped his hand to his side.

What was he doing? He was with his wife yet another woman was affecting him like he couldn't remember having anyone affect him in years.

He glanced down the table and tried to focus on something else.

He didn't do need.

He didn't do lust.

He'd been perfectly okay with his life but in the few moments he'd set his eyes on this woman, he'd found that he couldn't stay away.

'I shouldn't be looking at you,' he thought But the more he looked at her, the harder it was to stop.

It was as if her essence was luring him in.

*PRESENT*

The smile on her face deepened. "I already have him where I need him to be." The venom in her voice was clear.

  • Delilah   The end (epilogue)

The winds of change swept through the air as Amelia stepped onto the plane, her heart heavy with the weight of all that she was leaving behind. Mexico had been a place of love, betrayal, heartbreak, and redemption. It had shaped her in ways she could never fully explain. But it was time to move on. She leaned back in her seat, closing her eyes as memories of her family, of Mateo, and of everything they had endured together, flooded her mind. She thought of the quiet moments she had shared with Mateo—the stolen glances, the tender touches, the unspoken words that had once bridged the distance between them. Those moments would forever be etched in her heart, but they were not enough to keep her tethered to a past that no longer served her. Her family—her mother, her father—had been the driving forces behind her fight. Their memories were now the foundation of her resolve. She would honor them by living a life that was not shaped by the darkness that had consumed them but by the stren

The tension in the warehouse was unbearable, the air thick with fear and desperation. Maria stood at the center of the room, her gun trembling in her hand, her child clutched tightly in the other arm. The sound of her erratic breathing echoed in the otherwise silent space. Amelia could feel the weight of the moment, the gravity of everything that had led up to this point. She glanced at Mateo, standing to her left, his face a mix of anger and concern. They had cornered Maria—this was it. The endgame. “Maria,” Amelia called, her voice steady but urgent, “put the gun down. You don’t want to do this. You’ve already lost.” Maria’s eyes darted around the room, panic and defiance battling for control. “You have no idea what I’ve lost!” she hissed, her grip tightening on the weapon. “You’ve taken everything from me. My power, my family… my future.” Amelia took a slow, deliberate step forward, her heart pounding in her chest. She could see the desperation in Maria’s eyes. She could se

The day had arrived. Amelia stood at the podium, her heart racing as the cameras flashed in front of her. The press conference was set, and today, Maria would be exposed for the monster she truly was. Amelia had prepared for this moment for weeks—gathering evidence, making connections, and ensuring that nothing could be dismissed as a lie. This was the moment of reckoning. Amelia glanced down at the folder in front of her. Inside were the irrefutable documents that would bring Maria to justice—details of her illegal activities, her involvement in her father’s crimes, and the horrifying truth behind the murder of Amelia’s mother. Every piece of evidence was meticulously organized, every lie Maria had spun unraveling before her. As she looked out at the sea of reporters and cameras, Amelia felt the weight of what she was about to do. Maria had taken everything from her—her family, her love, her peace of mind—and now, it was time to take it all back. She took a deep breath before beg

The night was heavy with unspoken words as Amelia walked into the private ballroom. She had agreed to meet Mateo under the pretense of settling their differences, but deep down, she knew this meeting would be anything but peaceful. This was the final chapter of their story—the last time their paths would cross before the consequences of everything they’d done came crashing down. Mateo stood by the grand windows, his back to her, staring out at the city below. His shoulders were tense, his profile etched with the weight of everything he had lost. The moment Amelia stepped into the room, he turned to face her, his eyes meeting hers with a mix of pain and longing. “I didn’t think you’d come,” he said softly, though there was a trace of relief in his voice. “I couldn’t let it end like this, Mateo,” Amelia replied, her voice steady but betraying a flicker of emotion. “We have unfinished business.” He took a few steps closer, his gaze never leaving hers. “You’ve made your choice, Am

The night air was thick with tension as Amelia made her way through the narrow alley behind the café. Her mind raced with the information she had just uncovered—the confirmation of Maria’s role in her father’s death had set her heart ablaze with fury. The weight of it all was suffocating, and yet she couldn’t allow herself to falter. The battle was only beginning, and she had to be ready for whatever came next. Suddenly, a car’s engine revved, and shadows flitted across her path. Before she could react, she was seized from behind, strong hands clamping around her arms, pinning her to the cold, unforgiving wall. A rough voice growled in her ear, “You should’ve stayed out of this, Amelia.” She struggled, but the grip was too tight, and she was dragged further into the alley, where three men emerged from the darkness, each one more menacing than the last. They weren’t just after her—they were there to silence her for good. Amelia’s heart hammered in her chest, panic rising, but her

The late afternoon sun shone brightly, creating long shadows in Mateo's study. He was there, trying to understand the confusing mess of his life. Papers were scattered everywhere as he looked through old files and ledgers that were covered in dust. He felt a heavy weight in his chest because he had so many questions that remained unanswered. While he was sifting through his father’s old things, his hand accidentally touched a worn leather journal that was hidden under a pile of papers. His curiosity grew, and he decided to open it. As he flipped through the pages, he recognized his father’s handwriting on the yellowed paper. At first, the entries appeared simple and ordinary; they talked about business deals and family stories. But as he continued to read, he started to notice a more troubling story unfolding. The journal revealed a series of shady business deals, secret payments, and alliances that helped build the family company’s wealth. The grand ballroom shimmered with opulence, its crystal chandeliers casting warm light on the sea of glamorous attendees. It was the charity event of the season, a perfect facade for the elite to mask their scandals and betrayals with smiles and champagne. Amelia stood near the entrance, her fiery red gown flowing like liquid passion as her sharp eyes scanned the crowd. She was a tempest in disguise, ready to unleash her storm. Her target was clear—Mateo. He was standing near the bar, looking dashing in his tailored suit, yet there was an air of defeat around him. His usual confidence was subdued, replaced by the weight of recent revelations and his growing dependency on alcohol. Amelia took a deep breath and approached him, her heels clicking against the marble floor like a ticking clock. “Mateo,” she said, her voice cutting through the hum of the crowd. Amelia stood in the shadows of the estate, her heart pounding as she glanced up at the imposing structure. Maria’s father’s estate loomed over her like a fortress, its high walls and security cameras serving as a stark reminder of the danger she faced. But she couldn’t turn back now. This was her last chance to uncover the truth—a truth she had spent years trying to find. Clutching the forged access card Diego had given her, Amelia slipped through the side gate. The night was eerily silent, the faint rustle of leaves and the chirping of crickets the only sounds accompanying her. She pulled her hood tighter over her head, praying that the darkness would conceal her presence. The basement was her destination, a place she had heard whispers about but had never dared to approach until now. It was rumored to be the heart of all of Maria’s father’s secrets—a vault of information, hidden atrocities, and untold truths. ---The air grew colder as Amelia descended the stone staircase lead

Mateo sat in his dimly lit study, the room thick with the scent of whiskey. The glass in his hand was half-empty, though the bottle beside him was nearly gone. He stared into the amber liquid, his mind clouded with a whirlpool of emotions: betrayal, confusion, anger, and heartbreak. Lilah—Amelia—whatever her name was—had torn his world apart. The woman he had trusted, the woman he had loved, had deceived him. He could still see her face in his mind, the tears in her eyes as she pleaded for him to listen. A part of him wanted to believe her, to believe that what they had was real. But Maria’s words echoed in his mind, feeding his doubts. "She’s a liar, Mateo. She’s only after your money. She never loved you."He tipped the glass to his lips and downed the remaining whiskey in one go, wincing as it burned its way down his throat. The pain was almost comforting—it matched the ache in his chest. ---Maria watched from the doorway, her eyes narrowing as she observed Mateo’s deteriora
