Diana

LESS THAN THIRTY minutes later, they were on their way to Moonshine pack. Diana had shifted, and Sia was settled on her back.

Diana had been running for miles, and she was getting tired. Still, she could not stop. Diana had less than a day and a half before Selene was sentenced to be reincarnated.

What's worse, she was not even certain that she would find all the missing pages in Moonshine. It could just be one page, then she might have to solve another puzzle to find the rest.

And time was definitely not on her side, and so, she could not afford to go on a wild goose chase.

Regardless, she just kept on running and hoped for the best.

Deep in her thoughts, Diana nearly did not see the figure lying in the middle of the path. It was only by the scent of blood that hit her nose, that caused her to come to a screeching halt.

Sia jumped down to check what or who it was, while Diana went to shift back.

"It's a woman," Diana heard Sia announce, as she quickly put on her clothes.

I did not realise we are here to read?" Sia had confusion written all over her face. Diana chuckled. "Who said anything about reading?" "Then wha-oh," Sia cut herself off as Diana opened the book, revealing the red button. With one push of the button, the wall moved until the secret library was uncovered. "Woah!" Sia exclaimed, stepping towards the entrance before Diana could speak. "Here we go again," Diana muttered, before rushing to stop Sia from being impaled by arrows. Sia asked as she watched Diana scan her hand for the second time, stopping the laser shots. "That... is what we are about to find out," Diana responded. "But we can no

DianaIF THERE WAS one thing her father taught her, it was the need to always make good of everything. It was a habit she had been trying so hard to bury for years. As Diana stared at Thalia, everything in Diana warned her not to trust the female. Her gut screamed against it, but Diana wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. "Are you sure about this?" Sia whispered to Diana as Thalia began weaving the spell. "No," Diana answered simply, still not taking her eyes off Thalia. "Then why are you letting her do it?" Sia asked again."How do you think you would feel without your powers?" Diana asked back, turning to face Sia. "Empty. Dead. Broken," Sia responded without even thinking. "Then you understand how it would feel if I lose my Wolf or Selene. They have been a part of me for over twenty years and nothing would be the same without them. "So, if Thalia poses a slight chance for me to save them, then I am going to take it," Diana said and resumed watching Thalia. Diana cou

DianaTHE PRINTS LED directly to the secret library. The last print was in front of a bookshelf with just six books on it. It was one of the most uninteresting shelves in the library. At least one of the pages had to be in those books. Diana picked a book that first caught her attention. She wasn't sure why she felt obliged to pick that book first, but she did pick it. "Fate's eye? So random," Sia commented on the book Diana was holding. "What can be more unexpected than a book about fate?" Diana asked. Suddenly, the book dropped from her hands to the ground. Diana looked at Sia in shock, then looked back to the book. "What the hell?!" Diana muttered as the pages of the book began flipping themselves. "Diana…" Thalia called but Diana was busy staring at the continuously flipping book. She looked at Sia. "Are you doing this?" Sia quickly shook her head. "Of course, not!""What about you, Thalia?" Diana asked again. Thalia rolled her eyes. "That was why I called your attention i

Diana "I HAVE NEVER seen anyone as selfish as you, Thalia," Diana said, staring at Thalia who obviously did not feel the least guilty about what she had done. "No need to be so sensitive, I was just messing with her. She did not need to go off on me like that," Thalia responded with an eye roll. Now Diana was pushed past the limit of her patience. She took a deep breath and said, "Please leave, Thalia. I really appreciate all your help but I do not think we can have you around anymore.""What? You are sending me away because that child is throwing a tantrum," Thalia said seriously. "That child is your sister. A sister whom I have watched you treat terribly since you came in here!" Diana stopped talking and took deep breaths to calm herself. "This is between Sianna and me. Why do you concern yourself with such things?" Thalia asked in confusion."Are you blind or just stupid?" Diana could not help but ask. "Excuse me?" Thalia blurted. "You are excused. Now, leave my pack, and I

DianaBACK IN THE library, Diana watched as Sia did the retraction spell again, the right way this time. It was a short spell and thankfully did not end up with melted pages. "There is nothing on here, Diana. I think Thalia might have been wrong about the pages being inside this book. "Yes, I know we can feel the power coming from it, but I believe it is not the pages. Only the word 'Eye' had been spelled so the clue must be that word," Sia explained."So, you think we just have to find another clue from that word?" Diana asked for clarification. "Yes. I wonder what it could be," Sia mused, rubbing her chin thoughtfully. Diana looked at the old clock on the wall, which was surprisingly still working. "Damn it, we have just a few hours left. Whatever it is, we have to find it fast," Diana told her urgently. She then began scanning through the shelves. She could not spare one more minute."Diana, wait!" Sia called out. Diana quickly came back to her side. "What is it?""There is

Diana DIANA QUICKLY SNAPPED her gaze to Sia's face, almost giving herself a whiplash. "If you return? What does that mean?" Sighing, Sia left the books and turned to face Diana. "Communicating with the dead is ancient dark magic. It is extremely risky and evil spirits could also take the face of my ancestors. "That is why I would be using the book as a key ingredient. It would represent the item of ownership of the dead ancestor. "If things happen to go wrong, and my return is compromised, the book will be safe here, and you can continue without me.""Have you completely lost your mind?" Diana questioned without thinking while glaring at Sia. "Hear me out, Diana, I-" Sia was quickly cut off by an enraged Diana. "No, you will hear me out!" Diana growled, her voice coming out a little feral. Sia shuffled back, a little startled but Diana continued. "There is no fucking way I will be letting you do this, knowing that your life will be in danger. Kill that thought, Sia, because it

I see through your eyes and hear through your ears, too.' 'Can you do it?' 'If I could, I would have forced my way past the mental block and told you myself, but sadly no, I can not. I could only sense the book because Selene pointed it to me. The pages are of a lesser power so it is impossible for me to sense it.' Diana sighed in disappointment. 'Then I guess there is nothing left to talk about—" 'Wait, Diana. The clue your father left, Fate's eye is indeed the answer to all your questions. Remember the story Debora loved to tell you all the time, the one about the two friends who formed a band of heroes.' 'I do remember that, but how does it relate to Fate's eye?' Diana asked in confusion. 'What was Leah's last line before she and Sarah defeated the evil vampire?' 'Two is double the power of one, and the

DianaAS SOON AS Sia began casting Thalia's spell, Diana began saying it with her. She was not sure what to expect, but all she knew was that she needed to say everything until something happened. She and Sia were standing on opposite sides, holding hands, with the books in between them. Sia told her to say the entire spell twice. Somehow, Diana knew something was happening after the second time. She felt it in her veins. Something was leaving her body and she liked the feeling. The feeling was like releasing a breath after holding it for a long time. She was not sure how long it took to cast the spell but she was certain it was not for more than a few minutes. When Diana finally opened her eyes, Sia was staring above them. She followed Sia's gaze and to her greatest surprise, the two books were floating above their heads in what looked like a slow dance. Suddenly, both books came crashing down, and they barely had time to move away before they slammed against the ground. Immedia

Diana DEEP IN HER thoughts, Diana did not realise that Sia had finished, and was now standing in front of her. "By the gods!" Diana exclaimed in astonishment as she took in the sight of her now imprinted friend. Unrecognisable words were tattooed all over the visible parts of her body except her face. "Does it look that bad?" Sia asked shyly. Diana quickly shook her head. "Of course, not! You look fierce, powerful and just as beautiful as you have always been." Sia looked at Diana with a timid smile on her face. "Thank you, Diana." "Do you feel any different? Does it hurt?" Diana asked. "It only tingled for some time and then nothing," Sia responded with a shrug. "And the book? The spells?" Diana asked again. "The book is gone now, and the spells…" Sia pointed to her head. "It's all in here." "That's perfect. Now, let us go back to the field and wait for Gary and Corbin. Gary expects that I have the Crown and you have the book. "But things have changed and those l

"She used to be the leader of the strategic team before she left. Now that she is back, she will continue to be the leader. "Stephan here will assist you, Diana," Aiden said, pointing to a man standing near Richard. Stephan stretched out his hand for a handshake, to which Diana took, immediately feeling his cold hands, and shook it. He held her hand for much longer than she would have liked. But she did not have to do anything because Aiden cleared his throat while glaring at Stephan. Diana pulled her hand back and turned to face Aiden. "What is going on, Your Highness?" "Less than an hour ago, I got a call from King Marse. His kingdom was hit by the Evolution. "He did not get enough time to call other kingdoms for backup before they were defeated. The same thing happened with King Fredrick. "We have lost the support of two kingdoms

Diana "I KNOW YOU may not believe me, so I want to show you something," Aiden said, then began taking off his shirt. "What are you doing?!" Diana asked in a high pitched voice. When she caught sight of his torso, Diana became tongue-tied. On his body was a beautifully drawn image of her Wolf form. Every little detail was perfect. The colour on her, and the golden markings, it was all there. She blurted out the first thing on her mind. "Wow, you actually did it. You got a tattoo." "Yes, and you are the only picture I want to see inked to my skin. The only one I want to see whenever I look in the mirror," Aiden responded. "It's beautiful," Diana complimented in awe, not taking her eyes off the tattoo for a moment. It felt unreal and impossible. Diana half expected to wake up at any moment and realised that all of this was a dream. Diana pulled her hands away from Aiden's view, closed her eyes, and discretely pinched herself. Opening her eyes, she half expected to wake u

Diana LATER THAT DAY, Diana was left alone with her friends. Sia had gone to meet Janessa and Ryan, while Aiden went to sort out matters concerning his kingdom. Rudolph filled Diana in about his situation with Lacey. Diana tried to understand what could be wrong with Lacey but came up with nothing after each thought. "Do you recall anything you did wrong before she became distant?" Diana asked. "No. I know for sure that I did not do anything wrong," Rudolph responded. "Then what could be the issue?" Diana mused. "Trust me, I have been wondering about that since we returned from the Fay kingdom. "Since she saw me hugging Janessa, she totally cut me out. She does not even want to see me," Rudolph said with a frustrated sigh. "Okay, calm down, let me talk to her. Maybe I can get through to her," Diana suggested. Rudolph instantly perked up with a smile. "That would be a lot of help. Thank you, Ana." "But first I have to talk to Aiden. I will go to Lacey afterwards," Diana

Sia ON ARRIVING AT the border of the vampire kingdom, Diana was recognised by the guards, and they helped Sia carry her to the castle. Without saying a word to Sia, Robin took Diana from the guards and began walking to a room. Not wanting to be apart from Diana in that state, Sia followed Robin and Rudolph. After Diana had been placed on a bed, Sia and Diana's friends sat around her, staring down at her in concern. Soon, a tall man strode into the room. He moved straight to Diana's side and her friends scooted over for him to sit beside her. Sia instantly recognised the King of vampires. "Your Highness," she greeted with a bow. "Explain," he said bluntly, as he grabbed Diana's small hand in his large ones. His eyes were cold and stormy but they held warmness for the female laying on the bed Sia watched the scene in confusion, wondering what the hell was going on. She knew Diana was close to vampires but she did not realise Diana was this close to them. "Yes, Sia, pleas

Diana IT WAS NOT certain to Diana how she found herself standing face to face with Selene. She felt the glass in front of her and indeed, she was now inside the glass which was a lot bigger than she thought. She turned to Selene. "Things get weirder and weirder at each step, but it is no longer surprising." As expected, Selene smiled. "Only you would be relaxed about standing inside a mirror." Diana shrugged. "Try having two other different personalities inside you, fighting zombies for four years, and being tortured by a crazy lunatic. "I guess strange things is my new normal. It no longer seems foreign to me anymore." "About Luna, it is actually my fault. You were right, wolves are not supposed to have a separate consciousness. "I tried to keep my sickness from you but I could not stop my mind from creating another consciousness in your head. "I wanted to take her out, but it would not work. So, when I saw how harmless she was, I decided to let her stay. "This just a

Diana ONCE AGAIN, DIANA was confused about what to do. Taking Selene's essence seemed wrong in many ways. Most of all, it would be an added responsibility that she was not sure if she could bear. If she thought keeping a relic was hard, how would keeping a god-like power feel? "No. I-I-I can not do it, Selene. Keeping the Crown is enough work as it is. "For crying out loud, I spent almost four years hiding from other creatures who wanted the Crown. I can not add this one, too, please try to understand," Diana said. "If that is your major concern, then you have nothing to worry about. No one would be able to sense the god-like powers in you unless you decide to let them. "The Crown is just an added benefit, you can choose to give it to someone else but you have to return it to its original form since I will no longer be in it. "Then you can live in peace as everyone will know you do not have it anymore," Selene told her but Diana was not convinced. "What about immortalit

Diana SHE FELT HERSELF falling in space, free-living and weightless. She kept on floating with her eyes closed in the dark, letting the breeze take her to wherever. Suddenly, her body stopped moving and it was no longer dark, as light beams tried to get past her closed eyes. Diana opened her eyes and then her feet finally touched the ground. After her eyes had adjusted to the light, Diana took in her surroundings. "What the heck?!" Diana blurted out. She was surprised to see that she was now standing in the middle of mirrors. The room had mirrors on the walls, the roof and the floor. Diana was a bit creeped out by numerous reflections of her, all staring at her. "I had imagined the afterlife to be less creepy," Diana muttered to herself, trying to look away from her reflections, only to stare at another each time she turned her face. "That is because you are not in the afterlife, Diana," she heard a voice say. "Who said that?!" Diana asked, looking around but finding no

Taking one glance at the wound, Diana looked back up to Sia with a blank yet incredulous look on her face. "It's just a little scratch," Diana deadpanned. Sia pouted while looking up at Diana. "But it hurts!" Diana raised both her eyebrows. "Really? You have got to be joking." "Small wounds hurt more," Sia defended. Sighing, Diana rubbed her forehead in frustration. "You know what, I'll just grab the book so we can get this Crown activated." Diana got the book and climbed down to the centre of the square where Sia now stood, thankfully over her tiny cut. "Are you sure you are ready for this?" Sia asked as Diana handed the book over to her. "No, I am not," Diana instantly replied. Sia threw her ha
