31: Bad Taste

I have heard those words in a movie, but the man wasn't any other ordinary being. He was more than that. That is why I think it's ridiculous.

"How can you be so certain? Are you a supernatural being with inhuman abilities?" I chuckled to mock him. But he didn't speak. He was facing front, static for several seconds. And I didn't have enough courage to interfere on his sudden silence.

"Are... you mad with me again?" I asked carefully. I didn't mean any offense. It was supposed to be a joke.

"No," he finally answered. I was relieved.

"Hold on to me now, Eve. Make sure it's tight enough."

He made the engine roar again. I immediately wrapped my arms around his waist, afraid that I might fall if I won't hold tight enough. It would be a terrible fall, I'm sure. It earned a chuckle from him.

"Not too tight, please."

"Oh! I'm sorry..." My cheeks burned and quickly loosened my arms on him.<
