Chapter 10 Never Do Such Indecent Things Again!

In fact, Sheng Shuihe didn’t want to run this errand. He sat on the couch and spoke to the steward through the curtain, “The reason why my father took me home was that I got wounded seriously, and he was worried about my wounds might result in sequela because no one could take care of me out there! So, how am I supposed to work with an injury?”

Then, he coughed.

The steward smiled sadly and thought that actually, Sheng Lanci did say the same thing after he brought his son home.

But during these days, everyone started to talk about the news that Sheng Family’s son hit a person for his sister. Now, everybody knew that the first day Sheng Shuihe came back home, he beat the ass of the Xuanyu Che.

But strangely, Xuanyu Che said something rude and insulting to Sheng Weiqiao and her mother that day in public. However, until now, his parents still didn’t bring his son to the Sheng Family to offer a humble apology. Well, the reason actually was quite straightforward. They thought his son was beaten too hard, and even if Madam Feng had forced them to apologize, still, they would have found it unacceptable. Also, according to the severity of Xuanyu Che’s injuries, his parents thought that the Sheng Family should be the ones who brought their son to apologize to them!

So, now you tell me, who would believe Sheng Shuihe was injured?

“Go away!” Sheng Weiqiao would never buy it. She also didn’t want to waste her time and went straight inside the pavilion. The doorman was too scared to touch her, so he made way for her with a sad face.

All the young and old maids in Xiezhu Pavilion didn’t want to be punished for their involvement in this Siblings War, so they ran away.

Sheng Weiqiao walked into Sheng Shuihe’s outside of the bedroom totally unimpeded. She saw his door left ajar, “Are you in there? Come out! I need to talk to you!”

“I am a bit inconvenienced right now. Shall we talk through this door?” Sheng Shuihe’s polite voice came from the inside of the room, “If sister came here for the young Lord, don’t waste your time then. I am injured and can hardly take care of myself. So, I don’t have time to help this young Lord to prepare his residence!”

“Father is the one who gave the order, and you want to refuse it?!” Sheng Weiqiao actually was not interested in this errand. She just wanted Sheng Shuihe to get into trouble, that’s all. Then, she quickly replied, “Have you forgotten the rules?!”

Before she could finish, there was a distinct laugh in the room. But it was neither a sneer nor a mock. It was kind of like a laugh that had the feeling of toleration and helplessness. Also, it felt more like a wry smile that adults would have when they were watching their kids being annoying but couldn’t do anything about it.

“…!” Sheng Weiqiao seemed confounded a moment and suddenly realized it. Then, she got absolutely furious!

Without another word, she lifted her dress and kicked the door open with one foot, speaking angrily, “You such a….”

He had bled so much that even Sheng Weiqiao was worried about him. Sheng Shihe looked as if he didn’t care, covering the cloth and said to her with a smile, “These are some old wounds, almost scabbed. You don’t have to panic. Just take a seat in the living room. I will come after I put some medicine on them!”

Sheng Weiqiao then realized that his table was filled with all kinds of bottles and jars. When the wind came in, she could smell a sense of medicine. She was so shy and angry that she stamped her feet and asked, “Why didn’t you tell me you were taking medicines earlier!? Also! Why didn’t you close the door?!”

“I told the steward to close the door when he left.” Sheng Shuihe felt kind of aggrieved. He was about to take off all his clothes and take his medicine when the steward came. Although they were both men, he was not used to being naked in front of anyone, so he hid in the curtains.

He thought he used a few words to send away that steward, and then he could concentrate on the medicine. He didn’t expect his sister to come after the steward and kicked the door open without saying more than two words. Well, no one should blame him, right?

When she was going to leave, she suddenly saw a piece of a jade pendant with an image of two kylins frolicking with a pearl on a small table not far away. The jade pendant was lifelike Chinese kylins carved from flawless white jade. In the position of the eyes were a pair of glowing pearls. Under the lightly lifted forepaws, the dragon was clutching a gold ball of silk the size of a fingernail. All of this was a very rare technique for inlaying gold and jade.

However, what made Sheng Weiqiao quite surprised was the craving technique of this jade pendant. These kylins were not only lifelike on the jade pendant, it also highlighted the auspicious beasts of peace, majesty, majestic and vivid. This was a level that ordinary craftsmen could not reach!

“Tut!” Sheng Shuihe laughed and closed the door behind her, shook his head and sighed, “Still a little girl!”

He thought his little sister was going to show her tough side, burst into his room, and then slap him for being such a dirty thing to stain her eyes!
