The Partial Control

Dark clouds swallowed the sky, smothering the pale glow of the full moon. The village square, once buzzing with anxious whispers, fell into eerie silence as the gathered crowd staggered back in terror. All eyes fixated on the woman before them—the one whose pitch-black irises held no light, no soul.

“She’s her! I’ve heard the stories—run! She’ll destroy everything! She’s a curse! Heratte!”

Panic erupted like wildfire. The name alone was enough to send the villagers into a frenzied stampede, pushing, trampling, clawing their way to safety. Heratte was not a legend of heroes, but a nightmarish specter whispered in fearful folklore—the spirit of chaos, the harbinger of doom.

And yet, amidst the chaos, one boy stood frozen.

Logan.

His wide, unblinking eyes locked onto the figure before him. He refused to believe it. The face, the frame—it was his mother. It had to be.

“This… this can’t be true,” his voice trembled, barely above a whisper. “Mom? Tell me you’re there. Mo

“Ahh, greetings.” Heratte’s voice slithered through the blood-scented air as she rose to her full height, her pitch-black gaze locking onto the approaching figures. A slow, knowing smirk played on her lips as she watched them halt.Thora stood at a distance, her weathered eyes sweeping over the carnage before her. A sigh slipped past her lips, weary yet resolute. “Stop this madness, Heratte. Supreme power will give you nothing. Return Sera’s body and retreat.”Laughter—low and dark—rolled from Heratte’s throat. Her gaze flicked to the old woman standing before her, leaning on her staff, silver hair illuminated by the dying flames around them. Though frail in body, Thora’s stance was unshaken, her resolve unwavering. With a lazy flick of her wrist, Heratte ordered the monstrous beasts to retreat. Their snarls faded into the night as she shrugged, looking at Thora with feigned boredom. “And tell me, old woman—who exactly is going to stop me? You?” Her lips curled. “Or these humans?” She

  • Death Wolf   Once for a lifetime

Zander's povMy life has been fuc*ed up. But I never complained. Not when I grew up seeing my father harassing my mother everyday. Not when she used to protect me from my father's beatings. Not when she left me, at the mere age of 12. With the moster of a man, called my father. With a promise to take care of him and never hurt him. I stayed silent. I killed myself from the inside everyday, surviving under his rule with just one deep desire. To gain power. Unquestionable, absolute insane power. So that I am answerable to no one. Not even my bastard of a father. But as they say. To gain one thing you have to loose another. I lost the innocent, sweet boy I was. Making myself numb to all humanly emotions and desires. I was born to be a king, a leader. And that was what I focussed on everyday. I loved it when others feared me. I loved this extraordinary power my Lycan had, to bring anyone down on their knees with a mere stare. I loved being in control. But then one day ,the mor

Zander stepped into the dimly lit room, his gaze immediately drawn to the delicate figure fast asleep on the bed. His heart clenched at the sight of the ropes binding her arms and legs, the angry red marks on her wrists evidence of how long she'd been restrained. Her arms had been tied to the bedpost above her head, and each leg was secured to the corners of the bed.Shrugging off his coat, he draped it over the couch before rolling up the sleeves of his shirt, veins swelling beneath his taut skin. A silent storm raged within him as he pulled a chair beside the bed and settled into it, staring at her.His butterfly. The white sundress she wore made her look ethereal, almost angelic. Her dark hair fanned out across the pillow, a stark contrast to the cruel ropes that held her captive. He didn't know how long he sat there, watching her, but time seemed irrelevant. Only when she stirred, a soft groan slipping past her lips, did he finally blink. Her gray eyes fluttered open, meeting his

Dipping his knee onto the bed, Zander settles beside her, his fingers gliding over her calf before tracing upward. As he lifts her sundress along with his touch, he notices her grip on the bedsheets tightening, her heart pounding audibly in his ears. His gaze darkens as he watches her soft thighs quiver beneath his fingertips. Her skin is silk—warm, delicate, trembling. The dress rides higher, pooling near her stomach, revealing the curves of her body. The air in the room thickens, pressing down on them. Heat coils in his veins, an inferno barely restrained.Shoving aside his errant thoughts, he forces himself to focus, hooking his fingers into her underwear and easing it down. Pressing the needle into her skin, he empties the syringe before withdrawing it, his hand steady as he rubs a cotton swab over the spot, soothing the sting."It's done."He expects her to shift away, to recoil, to shudder at his touch. But she doesn’t move.As he reaches to pull up her underwear, his breath cat

Sera's moans echoed through the dimly lit room, each sound a plea, a surrender. Zander's lips traced a path of worship, starting from her ankles, gliding up the soft expanse of her thighs, lingering at her aching center, tasting her blossoms, before reaching the delicate skin of her forehead. His fingers worked her open, stretching, preparing, sending a relentless pulse through her core that made her back arch off the sheets. She writhed beneath him, her breathless gasps betraying her helplessness. Embarrassment stained her cheeks a deep crimson, but the pleasure ruled over shame, leaving her lips parted in desperate moans. Her fingers curled and uncurled against the sheets, grasping at something—anything—to ground herself. She couldn't take it anymore. He was lifting her to unknown heights, only to let her plummet, again and again, each descent more brutal than the last. Her legs trembled, stomach twisting in unbearable knots of need, until she could do nothing but plead."Zander...

Her teary eyes locked onto his, and for the first time, Zander saw her—not the hardened shell she had become, but the same vulnerable girl he had left behind that night. The wall of her coldness had crumbled. She was broken. Desperate.Surviving all these years.Hiding her pain, burying her tears, enduring it all alone. And now he could see it, crystal clear. "I’m here, Butterfly. Nothing will happen. To leave Logan. They held each other’s gaze.Zander concentrated, reaching deep, trying to pull her pain into himself—to take it away, to make it his.But he failed.Again and again. All he could do was give pain. Sera stood on the balcony of Zander’s room, her gaze fixed on the figures below as they dispersed. Her eyes found him effortlessly—Zander, standing at the center, issuing orders with an air of authority that demanded obedience.A cough tore through her chest, forcing her to press a handkerchief to her lips. When she pulled it away, her breath hitched. Black. The same cursed substance.Heratte was punishing her for refusing to surrender. Her body trembled from the internal war, but her gaze instinctively sought him out again. As if he could sense her, Zander paused mid-command, his brown eyes locking onto hers with concern. Her heart clenched. He saw her. Even in the midst of chaos, he saw only her.Forcing a small nod, she reassured him— I’m fine.A flicker of hesitation crossed his face before he gave a curt nod in return, resuming his orders. The entire palace and its surrounding areas were being evacuated at his command. Thora zipped the duffle bag before turning to look at Sera, a soft smile tugging at her lips. "My Sera." She opened her arms, and Sera rushed into her warm embrace, sinking into the comfort she had longed for. "I missed you, Grandma." Thora kissed her forehead, cupping Sera’s face between her aged palms. "I'm disappointed in you, child. All these years, you struggled alone. Not once did you think to come to me? Didn’t you consider me your own?" Sera shook her head, gripping Thora’s wrinkled hands firmly. "No, Grandma. I wanted to… but try to understand. I couldn't tell anyone because…" Sera hesitated, and Thora completed the thought for her. "Because of the contract of death." Sera nodded, and Thora smiled in understanding. They sat together, catching up, with Daniel and Volkan eventually joining them. As the sun set, Sera’s coughing grew worse, her body weakening. "You… you all should leave.
