How does he know it. I look at him stunned. His eyes taking in my expression quite closely.
To only have me chuckle, trying to increase the distance between us.

His jaw hardens. His eyes, still looking at me.

I avoid his stare, looking down at my hands. Trying to avoid his scrutinizing gaze.
"Thora. I know you have been rejected by your mate and your Alpha has treated you badly. You don't need to hide it from me."
So he knows....but does he know my Alpha is none other than my mate?
