Chapter 2 - Realization

Lynn almost felt passing out again after seeing his face in the mirror…

He’s extremely familiar with the face of this person!

His name is Arial Lachman! One of the sons of a mighty business tycoon in the country! He’s extremely rich that almost everything he sought after would be handed over to him with just his words!

However, there was a single time where he didn’t manage to get what he wants, and that was Lynn’s girlfriend, Shannon Myers!

In truth, even Lynn was intimidated by this guy. Although Shannon already accepted him as her boyfriend, this Arial wouldn’t stop courting her whenever he has time.

Lynn couldn’t help but feel some danger as he knows how impressive this guy was. Though he knows that Shannon isn’t a materialistic person, he’s afraid of the things that Arial could do out of desperation.

Luckily, Arial has many women willing to serve him day and night so his interest in courting Shannon gets lessened and lessened as time passed. However, it didn’t change the fact that Arial still wanted to have Shannon and become one of his possessions.

“This is weird… What the heck is happening to me?”

There’s too much going on inside his head right now.

He took a deep breath as he decided to calm down and find out the truth…

He immediately tried to find something that might give him a clue. He first found a cellphone in his pocket and after that, he realized that he also have a wallet with him.

He first checked the wallet and found large paper bills, IDs, and multiple credit cards, and atm cards.

He already expected it but he still felt dizzy after seeing the name on the cards.

Arial Van C. Lachman…

He checked all the cards and IDs and each of them has the same name.

“I really possessed his body…”

After grieving for several minutes, he finally accepted the truth.

‘Hmph! Arial Van… What a lousy name…’ Lynn didn’t forget to diss the man.

Then, Lynn checked the phone to check the current date.

“What? August 3? Isn’t that---”

Lynn immediately checked the time and it’s already 9:00 PM!

Only a couple of hours had passed!

“This…”

He wanted to make a phone call to contact Shannon as quickly as possible. However, he realized that it was locked.

Luckily, there’s another way to open the mobile device through his fingerprint.

He dialed Shannon’s number but paused as soon as he was about to contact her…

‘W-what would I say?’ Lynn realized his current situation. He has a different body now. Proving this to her might be quite challenging… However, he has no other choice.

‘Whatever… I’ll explain it to her…’

When he dialed the number, Lynn nervously waited for her to pick her phone up…

[ The number you have dialed is busy at the moment. Please try again later. ]

“Ugh! I can’t wait… I have to leave now!”

Lynn decided to leave immediately. He doesn’t know where he is but he has to do something about it.

He immediately opened the door to see where he is. Then, he realized that he’s inside a huge mansion! It’s probably one of Arial’s properties in the city.

‘Wait… I don’t even know if I’m currently in Vermont City.’ Lynn wanted to check his phone again to find out his current location.

However, he heard someone call him.

“Young Master Arial, is there anything wrong?” A man in his thirties who seemed to be a butler or perhaps a bodyguard approached him after seeing his worn-out face.

‘Who the heck is this guy?’ Lynn wanted to ask but recalling his current situation, he tried to immediately calm down.

“Ehem… Nothing… Tell me, how long will it take me to arrive at Xavier’s Paramount Restaurant?”

Lynn asked while trying his best to act like Arial, or how he imagined him to be.

“Xavier’s Paramount? It should just be a 25-minute drive, young master. Do you need a driver?”

Luckily, this butler, or whoever he is, seems to be very sensible and makes it easy for him.

“Ah… Yes. I need a driver.”

“Understood. I’ll make the preparations. However, are you not going to wait for Miss Clarice? She should be arriving now, right?”

‘Eh? Who’s Clarice? I don’t care…’ Lynn was getting impatient. He has to leave now…

He needs to find Shannon as soon as possible. However, he doesn’t know where he is, he doesn’t know where the cars or keys are, he doesn’t even know whether this possession of body is only temporary!

What if he returned to his original body again? It might be better if he’s with someone instead of him driving on the road.

‘Right, my body might still be alright… I read books about spirits going out of someone’s body after an accident or being comatose. I must be similar to that, maybe if I found my body, I could actually return?’ Lynn had wishful thinking.

“Just tell her that I left already. I’m busy… I’ll find her some time after my business…” He answered.

“B-but Young Master, she’s---”

“Enough… I’m in a hurry!”

Lynn had to make sure that this person knows that he’s in urgent business.

It seems that the middle-aged man still has something to say but seeing how he answered just now, it seems that he knows that he should already give up.

“I will do as you say, young master. I will call Max to bring you there at the restaurant now. You can just wait for him at the door.”

“Good… By the way, don’t let anyone enter my room… even you.”

“Of course…”

The butler replied and bowed before calling Max, Arial’s personal driver.

Soon, Lynn was already in the luxurious car that is probably worth his decades of salary.

He finally relaxed for a bit as soon as the car moved into the road.

He then checked his GPS and realized that he’s in Montemayor’s Subdivision, a place where only the top families in the country can afford to live!
