CHAPTER 52: SHE'S MY ASSISTANT.

RACHEL'S POV

I stare up at the massive mansion before me, my fingers clenching around the strap of my bag as unease creeps up my spine. The air feels heavy with a kind of elegance that doesn’t belong to me. It’s the kind of wealth I’ve only seen in magazines or television shows, a grandeur so surreal that I feel like an imposter just standing here.

I had felt almost like this when I got introduced to Noah's world, but now, it's just double the pressure.

My goodness, what have I gotten into?

I steal a glance at Noah, silently hoping—perhaps foolishly—that he will reach for my hand, offer some kind of reassurance, something to anchor me in this unfamiliar place. But instead, he walks ahead without a second glance, his strides purposeful and confident.

Huh...what was I even expecting? Typical Noah.

He belongs here. I don’t. And yet, I have no choice but to follow him inside. I mean, if I do not, how do I find my way around?

The interior is even more extr

CHAPTER 53: MY HUSBAND IS GETTING MARRIED.RACHEL'S POVDinner is tense, but I don’t immediately understand why.I do understand that it might be because I am overthinking it but maybe this time around, I am not. The whole family is silent. My presence isn't even regarded. The large dining hall is filled with muted conversation, silverware clinking against porcelain, yet something feels... off. I study the family before me, observing the way they interact once in a while.Noah sits at the head of the table, quiet and unreadable as always, while an older woman—elegantly dressed, with a sharp gaze that misses nothing—watches me closely. I gulp...I guess I have been noticed. "And who might you be?" the woman finally asks, her voice smooth but edged with authority.I straighten slightly, setting down my fork. "I'm Mr Noah's assistant," I reply smoothly, casting a glance at Noah, who remains impassive. "What makes you think you have the right to sit at this table? You are just an ass

CHAPTER 54: DIRTY FAMILY SECRETS RACHEL'S POVI wake up the next morning with a heavy heart, the weight of disappointment pressing down on me like a thick blanket. The first thing I notice is the emptiness around me—Noah didn’t come to visit. I had dragged myself to bed last night unwillingly while still hoping that maybe he would see to it that I deserved an explanation for what was happening. But I guess not. Not that I should be surprised. After all, it’s just a contract, I remind myself bitterly, staring up at the ceiling like it holds all the answers I’ve been too scared to face. That’s all this is. A transaction, an agreement. Nothing more.I sit up slowly, pulling my knees to my chest, and rest my chin on them. The silence in the room feels louder than any words Noah could have said to me. Maybe it’s time I started treating this for what it is—a business arrangement. No expectations. No emotions. And definitely no space for disappointment.I won’t let him disrespect me anym

CHAPTER 55: TEMPTING HUG.RACHEL'S POVI shouldn’t be staring, but I can’t help it. My eyes are glued to Noah and the girl who clings to him like her life depends on it. The more I watch them, the more it seems like my eyes are going to pop out of their sockets. Her hands rest possessively on his arm, her body angled toward him as if trying to drown out the rest of the world. And he just stands there, like it’s the most natural thing in the world. Like I don’t exist. Like he doesn't remember, he is legally owned by me... literally, but still! Respect! Where is it? The pit forming in my stomach twists tighter with every second I watch them together. I tell myself it doesn’t matter—this is all just a contract. Just a contract. But my heart? My heart refuses to listen to reason. That's what I hate the most. Before I can spiral too deep into my thoughts, Victoria’s overly sweet voice cuts through the tension like a sharp knife. CHAPTER 56: NOAH'S FIRST LOVERACHEL'S POV.I trail behind Valentine, my steps slow and measured, like I’m walking through a dream I can’t wake up from. She moves ahead of me, graceful and confident, scanning the racks of luxury clothes like she owns the world. Her fingers skim over silk blouses, sequined dresses, and designer handbags—each one more expensive than the last.I watch her carefully pick a few outfits, her lips curling in approval as she adds them to her arm. Every movement is elegant and deliberate as if she was born for this life of wealth and privilege.I, on the other hand, feel like an outsider in every sense of the word. I clutch Noah’s debit card tightly in my hand, a reminder of my place here—an assistant on the outside looking in, pretending that this charade of a marriage doesn’t hurt more than it should.Valentine’s voice slices through the heavy silence, soft but clear. “So, Rachel… how’s married life treating you?”The question catches me off guard. • Dear Mr. Billionaire, Our Marriage Is Just A Contract   Final Betrayal

Chapter 57: Final Betrayal "Take a seat, Rachel," he ordered in a firm yet hushed voice. He pointed to the chair across from him without waiting for her to answer. His posture was poised as though this were just another day in his empire, and his hands were steepled in front of his face. After hesitating, Rachel sat with her thoughts racing. What had called her here? She had no idea how this meeting would impact things, but she could feel it. Only the occasional click of Cassian's pen against his desk broke the dense silence between them.It still felt like a test, but Cassian's voice shifted into a more conversational tone when he remarked, "You've done well to maintain your position with Noah." However, you must comprehend something crucial. This family is... complex.Rachel scrunched her brows. What was meant by that? She started to question, but Cassian's subsequent remarks interrupted her."Rachel, there are alliances here. You might not have suspected some of them. As if he had

CHAPTER 58: DECISION THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING.For so long, he had kept the truth from her, and now that she was standing before him, her heart and head were at odds."Why didn't you inform me?" Her pained voice was little more than a whisper. "Why don't you tell me anything?"Noah's ordinarily calm expression cracked for the first time as his eyes darkened. "I have to keep you safe, Rachel. You would be at even greater risk if you were fully informed.Shaking her head, she took a step back. Would you keep her safe? The idea hurt. Noah, I do not need protection. I require the truth. He grabbed and pulled her close as his fingers touched her wrist. His breath warm against her ear, he whispered to her, "I never wanted you involved in this world, not like this." But it's too late now. I can no longer assure you of your safety. You must decide whether to follow me, fight with me, or flee and protect yourself. He said something that made Rachel's breath catch. Chapter 59: The War Within Rachel stands next to Noah, her body stiff with expectation and her pulse a consistent thump on her skin. The room seems stifling, its heavy silence engulfing her. Though she cannot afford to say them, her mind runs with questions, not yet."Are you quite sure about this?" Rachel's voice comes out less than expected, betraying the hesitation she is trying to keep secret. Her gaze darts across to Noah, looking for any hint of uncertainty.Noah avoids looking back at her. His attention is on the door ahead; its low creak fills the tense air between them. His voice is quiet yet determined as he responds. "We are without choice."Nothing about the woman entering the room matches Rachel's expectations. Tall and with dark, sharp eyes that sweep the room with deliberate accuracy, Isabel fills the room right away, as though she is used to calling attention. She doesn't grin, but as she looks at Rachel, her lips start to quiver upward." Rachel," Noah murmurs, his v

Chapter 60 : Price of Freedom The sound of the explosion is so piercing and deafening that it causes Rachel's heart to rush into her chest. Heavy clumps of dust fall, and the ceiling trembles as the walls split. Her breath catches as she reflexively reaches out and grabs Noah's arm for support. Her fingers grip his sleeve, rooting her to the chaos. With a trembling voice, she asks, "What the hell just happened?"Noah's eyes widen in worry, his ordinarily stern face now tinged with fear, but Rachel can tell he isn't giving up by the fire behind his eyes. "They've made their move," he adds in a firm yet hushed voice. "It's now or never."Rachel scans her surroundings, still in shock. The world seems unsteady and whirling. She concentrates on comprehending what is going on. She looks at Benjamin, whose once-confident manner is now pale. Real panic replaces his previous swagger as he staggers back a step. "This wasn't supposed to happen," he murmurs. This was never part of the plan."Rac

CHAPTER 87: A NEW HOPEHer voice is almost audible against the breeze; she whispers, "We cannot run forever." "We are approaching."Noah initially answers hardly at all. He watches her, his own controlled anxiousness reflected in his eyes. " Nums." Still, we cannot face it by ourselves.Rachel stares at him, her history dragging down her shoulders. Once delicate, their relationship now feels like an unspoken promise—a knowledge they will be standing together no matter what happens. Still, even that dedication appears insufficient to shield them from what looms ahead. They have battled so valiantly to recover some normalcy and arrive here. Still, always eager to drag them back into the darkness, the shadows of their past linger, nipping at them. The truth of what they have done and lost forces on their shoulders like a weighty, stifling weight with every day.Noah adds at last. "We fight," his voice low yet firm. "And we triumph." • Dear Mr. Billionaire, Our Marriage Is Just A Contract   A New Beginning

CHAPTER 86: A NEW BEGINNING The weight of their rebuilding decision presses on Rachel's chest as she glances out the window. The peaceful buzz of the night outside fails to soothe the storm within. Her body hurts from the emotional and physical fights she has engaged in. Though she doesn't let it show, her hands shake slightly. She is far gone; she cannot stop now.Noah is standing next to her; his presence acts as a stabilizer. Though he is silent, she can see the same turbulence in his gaze. Even after the conflict ends, the scars remain. They both are aware of that. Neither of them is the same person who entered the fight several months ago."We can do this, Rachel," Noah replies gently as if trying the words and considering their sincerity. "Together." Her heart twisted, and Rachel turned toward him. She wants to believe it. She does, although the uncertainties still exist. Suppose the past is too difficult to overcome? What if their survival comes at too high a cost?"I'm not s

  • Dear Mr. Billionaire, Our Marriage Is Just A Contract   Rising Tension

CHAPTER 85: RISING TENSION Noah's face looks drawn and tired as he walks into the living room, and Rachel can sense the irritation in his eyes. She knows the conversation is approaching even though they have dodged it for days. Indeed, neither of them is good, not yet.Noah replies, his voice laden with the unspoken thoughts between them, "We need to talk."Trying to calm her racing heart, Rachel inhales deeply. "Regarding what?"Rachel, about us. Regarding what's next. His eyes meet hers, begging for some response to help them make sense of the anarchy around them.Rachel bites hard. "I have no idea, Noah. I don't know whether I am capable of doing this.Noah approaches, his hand extended towards hers. "Do we have any option here? We have far to go, but I am not giving up on us right now.She jerks her hand back, the agony from the past several days rising. "It goes beyond just us, Noah." It is much more than that. Though Rachel knows the truth, his eyes flutter with a weary will. Though the fight is not finished, they have survived the worst of it. Not for their use.She suffers anxiety, terrified of what lies ahead, of the unknown road. She fears losing Noah to the dark place the war has brought them and losing herself in the mending process. The intensity of their connection is evident when their eyes lock. The only thing that feels definite and keeps them anchored is their link.Reaching for his hand, Rachel softly squeezes it to try to express everything she experiences with one touch. Her voice quakes as she talks; her words are more brittle than she wishes them to be. " Ah, I'm not sure where to start going ahead. I have no idea what to do anymore.Noah's hold gets tighter, and for a split second, she senses the unspoken promise betwe

  • Dear Mr. Billionaire, Our Marriage Is Just A Contract   The Final Price

CHAPTER 83: THE FINAL PRICE The Sinclairs, their falsehoods, and their decisions have cornered them. One watches every movement they do. Every word counts. Rachel senses the pressure pressing in on her, strangling her, but only one road remains."You know what we have to do, right?" Noah asks, his voice hardly audible but cutting through the suspense like a razor. He glances not at her. His eyes are locked on the door leading to the future, towards the last confrontation—the one they wanted to avoid and the one they had ready.Rachel bites hard, her throat dry. His words weigh heavily, laden with understanding what is at risk. She doubts her readiness for this, from what is implied here. She does not, however, have options. Right now, she cannot back down.Though the words never come from her mouth, Rachel feels she must save him. They are not required, of course. She can feel Noah staring at her without looking. They both are in this, whatever the expense.Rachel moves deliberately

  • Dear Mr. Billionaire, Our Marriage Is Just A Contract   The Final Confrontation

CHAPTER 82: THE FINAL CONFRONTATION Beside her, Noah's presence acts as a counterpoint. Though he is staring ahead at the home, his jaw shows no discernible movement. Though he is here with her, dedicated to the cause, his muscles stiffen as if he is getting ready for a blow. "Ready?" he asks, his voice low as their goal weighs down both.Rachel nods even if her insides are turning over. She knows the weight of the choice; the stakes are too significant. They have battled for so long only to reach this pivotal point where everything can collapse or unite. It has never been more apparent to see that this is the moment they have been battling for—the one either saving or destroying them. Errors have no place in this. Every action has value.Their footsteps resound in the darkness, the home standing before them like a fortitude as they go on. Here is where everything will change. Not now is there any turning back. But a piercing voice cuts across the silence just as they are ready to ap

CHAPTER 81: THE TIPPING POINT "It's not just them," he says, his voice tense with something she cannot place. "That's someone within our circle."The words pierce Rachel like a dagger, more keen than she is ready for. Everything they have battled starts to fall apart right from its fundamental basis. She doesn't know who she should be trusting now. They have been fighting the Sinclair family for so long, trying to destroy their empire, but it is now abundantly evident that other people are also tugging the threads. Someone close to them has been planning from the inside, feeding the Sinclairs information, preparing them for failure.Noah's face is harsh and unreadable. The rock is usually consistent in this relationship, but his eyes show doubt tonight. He has never appeared more exposed. Rachel senses the gap separating them growing and the anxiety seeping into the fissures where their trust previously lived.Rachel continues, her voice almost above a whisper: "We have to find out w

  • Dear Mr. Billionaire, Our Marriage Is Just A Contract   Betrayal And Deception

CHAPTER 80: BETRAYAL AND DECEPTION Noah is beside her; his expression is unclear, but his clenched fists say a lot. Every move they have made to free the Sinclair family from their twisted grip on their lives has been deliberate and cautious. However, they have overlooked one essential component: the most trusted individual.Someone they thought was on their side is the traitor. The disclosure stings more fiercely than Rachel had imagined. Her words are almost above a whisper. She looks at Noah. "It was him, not it?"Noah does not respond right away. As his jaw stiffens, Rachel sees a flutter of shame in his eyes for a split second. He was aware already. With shaky hands, Rachel says, "It's been him all along." "How could we have been so blind?"Their world collapsed around them after they trusted and depended on this person. Rachel is sick and feels deceived to a degree she has not known before. Every plan, tactic, and alliance have been lies, expertly crafted to lead directly into

CHAPTER 79: SINISTER PLOT UNFOLDSNext to her, Noah's voice shakes. " Rachel, we have been pawns here. All this time. And we didn't see it till lately." His comments tether her to the reality of their circumstances and carry weight. Her heart thrashes in her throat. "We cannot turn away from this. We have to wrap up here. But today, we don't know who to trust."Every step they have taken and every strategy they have followed now seems contaminated. Rachel looks towards the darkening horizon, the cold reality sinking into her chest. Are the people they have worked with, the allies they believed they had, really allies or merely additional bits in Sinclair's game? Others are in on this as well.Noah closes his fists, and his wrath is apparent. "We have to call attention to them. Down the family, every last one of them." Frantic, with icy fingers, he grabs her hand. But these days, we cannot accomplish this by ourselves. The sound of tyres screaming breaks the silence—Rachel's gut jerks.
